Eeeep, I just talked to my sister on the phone about tomorrow. We'll be leaving at noon to go pick my sister up and head to the airport. I PRAY that this trip will not be too traumatic on the poor sweetie. I just wish I could tell her that it will really be worth it for the great home she's getting. I can't stop crying.. eek.
I just want tomorrow to come so I can get her on her way and know that she made it there safely.

I been extra speshul nice to fozter mommie tuday cuz I kan tell she'z sad. She toldz me not to be a grumpie kat after my plane ride! I will try to be very gud! I gotz to go finnish lickin fozter mommie'z tearz away. I'll be seein yaz in less dan 48 hourz!

I wish I could have gotten to you guys sooner but my cable has been out all day.
She is on the plane now and doing fine. My sister has called me four times already to assure me because I was not in the best of shape when I dropped them off :o I'm not worried about her, its just that I feel sad she won't be in my life anymore :( She was my little shadow, following me up and downstairs all day long. She also would always sit on the toilet seat and wait for me while I was in the shower.
My sister said she's playing in her carrier. I stuck her favorite toys in there with her so I guess she's having a ball. Johanna - her very favorite toy is the orange ball with the white feather on it. That will be in her carrier with her when my dad gives her to you. There's also some other ones in there. And in the side pocket of the carrier are a few more toys and some food you can mix in with her new food. Also, there's a folder for you with all of her vet records, rabies tag, and an envelope for you :) Then my dad also has a bag that I sent with him for you to have. Hope you like whats in it :)
My sister isn't letting Lily out of her sight. She has specific instructions to even take her in the bathroom STALL if she has to go to the bathroom at the airport. My dad and sister are going to call me tonight when they get in so they can tell me how Lily is. I'll post even though it'll be 2 or 3am Newfoundland time. There's three hours difference in our time zones. That means right when I'm getting home from school tomorrow, Lily will probably already be in your hands! :eek: :D
You guys may think I'm crazy, but I am positive Lily knew she was leaving to her new home. All day yesterday, she stuck to my lap, purring and loving on me. I swear it was like she was saying goodbye and that she'd be okay. She didn't even wanna play with Skylar until I went to bed. I love that girl.
Thankfully I've been keeping busy because I had to rush Lolly to the vet. She's just having bad allergies, so nothing serious. Skylar is already driving me nuts. Since Lily's not here to play, he's taken to getting tangled in the computer cords.. silly boy.

I'm sure it's awfully hard to let little Lily go--especially after getting her through her early leg troubles and watching her grow into such a gorgeous baby cat! Congrats on doing such a wonderful job fostering her and finding her the best possible permanent home! :)
We'll all be waiting anxiously for the arrival pics!!

But she will be in your life yet, Aly. You can continue to watch her grow and go through all her trials and tribulations here on PT. Johanna takes wonderful pics, and I'm sure she'll be taking many of them of Lily. Yes, it won't be the same as having her right there with you, but you'll still be able to see her and she'll still be in your life. So please don't feel so bad. :( You have a wonderful heart, and before you know it there will be another tyke in need and you'll be able to say yes, I can help.Quote:

My sister and Lily just switched planes in Chicago. They are off to Toronto now where they will switch planes again before finally arriving in Newfoundland.
5 hours of the trip down, 7 to go.
Wow! Thanks for the update, Aly. I'm confident that Lily will do great in her new home with her new meowmie and brother! This has got to be the sweetest story, of a fostered PT baby going to a permanent PT home! What a great Foster mom you are. I can imagine how hard it is to give up the fosters after spending so much time with them, caring for them and loving them. You are an angel. I can't wait to hear about her arrival. It will be soon!
