Prayers are out there for your and your baby. But please don't be too hard on yourself. This was an accident. Having 11 cats, myself, in a small apt at that, I can understand how something like this could happen. We seem to always find a cat somewhere he/she shouldn't be. Or lose one...we went a day not missing one of the kids!:o

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!
I got the good news that I can take Andy home for the night! He is getting his xray and bloodwork done, then I can bring him home! They said that his temp is the same, heart rate still elevated but stable enough to get home.
They want him to try to come home and eat, since he is not eating.
I can not thank everyone enough for the prayers, well wishes, and shoulder to lean on. It mean SO much to me. I cant be any more grateful that I found my family in 2004 on a website. This whole horrible ordeal has been a bit easier, knowing that I have support.
In regards to donations, I normally would say absolutely not. But I cant rule that out yet, as I need to see my bill. I am sure that this is more than I thought, because of the extra xrays and bloodwork. I just need to figure it out. I feel so guilty about taking donations from my friends, esp since this is my own fault. Thank you for those who want to help.
BUT I want this to be good news, and I do feel it is good. Andy is coming HOME! Even if for a night, I could not be more hopeful. I will DEF take a few pictures once we are settled. I need to go buy some baby food and canned food, and some baby wipes etc.. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!:D

Woo Hoo!! I am so happy for you and Andy. Maybe being home will help his heartrate level out too. And all of the love you are going to shower him with will help him to a full recovery.
:D :D :D :D

Oh that's such great news! I'm sure that Andy will do much better once he's home w/his mom. And since we're family, don't look receiving money as donations; consider it to be our contribution as family members.

I am glad to hear that Andy can come home. If they forget to suggest it, I would recommend keeping him confined. He might be a bit scared AND it will allow you to monitor his food intake. And remember to stay calm (don't overwhelm him with apologies) he'll be able to feel your stress. But he'll be happy to be home.
-
Thanks guys! I am SO relieved. Instead of calling every hour, I will be there!
Jen, yes I must keep him confined. The tech told me is going to be on fluids once he gets home. Not sure if ivs or subQ. Chances are he must go back tomorrow morning. Hopefully he will eat, and that he will calm down (heart rate) once he gets home and isnt so bumbarded with other dogs/cats and docs prodding him. Now he can look forward to MEOWMIE prodding and kissing and loving. Poor fella. I will update AS SOON as I can.:)

Katie, I just finished reading this thread and I'm so sorry that this has happened.:( Like others have said, please try not to blame yourself because it was an accident. Cats are too curious for their own good sometimes.
I'm so glad to hear that he's able to come home and I hope he'll eat something for you and continue to get stronger and become more stabilized. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way. Please take care. (((HUGS)))

Thank goodness Andy will be home where he belongs...with you! That will go a long way in speeding up his recovery and healing, being in familiar surroundings with his loving meowmie.
I know you are so relieved that he is progressing (so are we!) and I'm sure you will spoil him rotten. It sure can't hurt!
And, please do not hesitate to ask for help; we are as generous with our wallets as we are with our prayers....don't forget that.
(((hugs))) to both of you!:love::love:

I haven't been able to post because I can't see through the tears. I feel so bad for both of you, but I have been thinking of you and praying for Andy's recovery all day. I'm glad he is coming home. Gentle hugs to both of you.
-
I am so glad Andy is going home. He will be in terrific hands at home with you! Please give him a gently kiss and scratchie for me!!
-
I am so happy that you will have your baby back home with you tonight! There is no doubt in my mind that just being home will reduce his heart rate and once he is settled in will eat a bit. I wouldn't expect him to be ready to eat till later tonight though. Please give him gentle hugs from me and my furbabies.
More ((HUGS)),
Mary

Still thinking of you and hoping for an update before bedtime!

Great that he can come home. Sometimes getting back to normal settings helps a LOT after a trauma. Routine sights and smells, etc. Praying that this helps Andy recover more quickly.
-
Looking forward to updates on Andy when he gets home!
HUGS! Give him a kiss for me.

Give Andy a kiss for me, too!
