What a shock, I'm just now seeing this. I am so sorry MOFF!
Rest in Peace sweet Luke.
It is never easy to lose a really good friend, like Luke, that gave you so much love. Please remember that cats(darn them)can HIDE illness so well. Luke knows that you tried to help him. Sleep softly, dear Luke....have fun at the Bridge with your buddy Leroy...
Luke was certainly a master at hiding his symptons. He did it so well even his vet couldn't find out everything that was wrong until it was too late. :(
I got a sweet card from her and the staff yesterday. It had a rainbow on the front and the Rainbow Bridge story on it.
Thanks again everyone!!!
MoFF, I am just now seeing this HUGHUGHUGHUGHUGHUG
I'm so sad about your loss!! :( :( And I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. :o
R.I.P. sweet Luke!

Connie, I never saw your post. :( I am so sorry that your Luke has gone to the Bridge. You will be in my prayers.
Logan
I am so sorry. I know how much you loved him and will miss him. My Trevor was 15 also and went to RB in April. It's so hard to let them go. (((hugs)))
I hope Luke has met up with my Kacey by now, and that both of them are playing like kittens. Two very special boys.
And I hope you're beginning to heal and finding comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of your sweet guy.
Connie, I didn't see this before. Sorry to read about Luke. He will be waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge.
I’m so, so sorry dear friend.:(:(:( There are no words to ease your sadness, I know. But please remember, I grieve the loss of your beautiful boy Luke right along with you. How lucky Luke was to have had you as his rescuer; how devoted he was to have had you as his devoted, loving Meowmee and best friend. And now he has earned his angel wings, and is enjoying good health and eternal sunshine at the Rainbow Bridge, right along side your beloved Lucy and Leroy, my Moonie, all of our beloved furkids. And I have a feeling Luke and my Moonie are becoming fast friends...she loved kitties!:) We love you dear friend, and are keeping you in our prayers.:love::love:

I too am just seeing this now. I am soooo sorry for your loss! This "part" of loving animals is so hard! Thank you for giving him such a great and long life!
It was 3 weeks ago today that I hugged my sweet boy for the last time.
Thanks again to everyone for the prayers and well wishes for us.
Sandra, thank you specially for calling and crying with me. I would not have made it through those first days without you.
Here are the last 2 pictures I took of him. Taken 3 weeks ago today. It's odd but fitting that the last one taken of him is of him sleeping.

Oh Connie...thank you for sharing those sweet, precious pic of your beautiful boy. You're right friend, he did hide his symptoms so well, didn't he? But he had the best Mommy in you Connie, and he knew each and every day of his life just how much he was loved. I know how hard it is for you Connie, still. Please remember I'm thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers every day...and all of the "kids" too.

It's worth noting that there are two kinds of canned k/d food. One is the "regular" kind and one has minced chicken. Cats that dislike the regular kind will often eat the one with minced chicken. Also, if neither of these options work, there is k/d kibble, which most cats seem like like.
