Bless her and your hearts! She looks so sad and that just breaks my heart. I just now found out about this. I am so very sorry. I hope the future won't be sad. I just love that sweet dog. Please give her some hugs from me and a kiss on the head. I know how much it hurts. I hope tomorrow goes well. I hope you get a miracle.
I'm so sorry to hear this.
I'll keep praying and thinking of her.
She looks so sad. :(
Oooo.....I am just now seeing this thread!! I am so sorry that our girl Tango is going through this!! I sure hope that there is something that can be done for such a sweet and Energenic dog!! Many Prayers coming your way!!
Sweet Tango will be in my prayers.
That sweet face doesn't deserve such pain - I hope something can be done to make her more comfortable. What a heart-breaking day for you.
I am hoping for the very best outcome for your baby girl Tango and sending lots of hugs and prayers your way.
Lots of thoughts and prayers coming your way.
This winter, my BIL's dog, a beagle mix slipped two discs in his back and had to have surgery. He has been doing wonderful since and although he has a slight limp when he gets tired, he is playful and energetic as ever. I wish the same sort of success and recovery for Tango.
Major LES now. :( You and your family will be in my thoughts through this difficult time.
I am so sorry to hear this news. :( Tango is one of my favorite PT dogs, I know she is loved by so many here. Please know I'm thinking of you and Tango, I'm hoping for the best possible outcome.
I'll be keeping Tango in my thoughts. I'm so sorry to hear she is going through this. She is such a beautiful girl.
Prayers on the way for yoru sweet girl.
Ashley :(
Ugh, I'm so sorry, Devan. I'm really praying hard for Tango, and you and your family right now.
Hopefully the tests will show something positive. I continue to keep you and Tango in my thoughts. I've asked my RB doggie, Sami to stay with Tango and keep her company and provide a measure of comfort.
I am so so sorry to hear about Tango. :( She is such a wonderful dog and I know how much she means to you. My thoughts are with you and I hope for the best.
Thanks everyone. :)
Our vet phoned earlier and said she was doing a bit better and was a little more comfortable and relaxed now (thanks to the pain medication). She still can't move her back end or anything obviously, but at least she's not yelping everytime she goes to move positions and isn't panting and shaking terribly.
It feels so weird without her, and so boring. I can't imagine living without her permanently. She's not even 5 years old yet. I guess it's even harder because Echo was about the same age when she had to be PTS and that's all I can think about.
Devan, can they give Tango steroids to reduce the inflammation to the disc that is slipped? (I'm a nurse) And something for pain? An acquaintance on the other pet forum I read has a dog that had back problems and made a terrific recovery with steroids, pain meds, and antibiotics. It was not a fast recovery by any means though. Please let us know what the myelogram shows. Thoughts and prayers for Tango.
Edited to add: I went to gratefulness.org this morning and lit a cyber-candle for Tango
