I have to laugh, A Cuh Lee Fuh Nee Ah (I have changed the spelling or the Great, Late, State of CA) THe Governator was up the street dealing with the fires and FF camp in the local park.....It's CUH not CAH, my apologis to all that care.) politician was caugh on tape talking about his sexcapades.
THis leads me to believe that only Republicans have carnal knowledge.
The Dems get bent out of shape when they hear about S-X and none of them have had to resign because of S-X? So, what does that tell us?
Take a day off and have fun with your SO. It may brighten your day and actually make you care about things.
A quote from back in July –
It’s interesting when you know the real title of some of these so-called czars – and when the positions were originally created.Quote:
How is The President appointing all these "Czars", Constitutional?
Energy Czar – Director of Federal Energy Adminstration.
Created in 1973 by President Nixon.
When he approached William Simon about the position, Nixon asked him – “Do you want to be my energy czar?”
Drug Czar – Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy
Created in 1989 by President George H.W. Bush
Intelligence Czar – Director of National Intelligence
Created in 2005 by President George W. Bush
Aids Czar – Director of the Office of National Aids Policy
Created by President Clinton
Border Czar – Assistant Secretary for International Affairs and Special Representative for Border Affairs (Department of Homeland Security)
Created by President George W. Bush
Science Czar – Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology.
Created in 1976 by President Ford
Regulatory Czar – Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.
Created in 1980 by President Reagan
Oh I know... This President is just taking it to a new level. The latest in a line of "leaders" who do not uphold the oath they take.
From Article 2, Section 2. "...and he shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law:"
Heard this last night.
Is BO eligible for a Clash for Clunkers rebate?
He got rid of his "Van"....

Did you see Nutsy's face when someone yelled LIES. UGH! I had flashbacks of Sister Mary Torquemada's mug twist into the devil incarnate.
Ild like to buy whomever yelled "LIAR" a beer.
more -Quote:
How nasty has the political discourse in Washington gotten? During his speech to Congress tonight, President Obama defended his health care plan, saying that he had never proposed providing coverage to illegal immigrants. “You lie!” shouted Rep. Joe Wilson, a Republican from South Carolina, prompting Obama to briefly pause in the delivery of his speech and eye his heckler. No doubt emotions are often heated during these joint sessions with the president and members of Congress, but decorum typically rules—except for tonight, apparently. In an interview with CNN afterwards, Sen. John McCain trashed Wilson’s heckling and urged him to apologize. “Totally disrespectful,” McCain said. So far, no comment from Wilson or his congressional office.
One thing is for sure: Wilson’s outburst didn’t do the GOP any favors tonight, particularly against a backdrop of a speech in which Obama went after his critics to either put up or shut up on health care reform. It completely overshadowed the official Republican response to Obama’s speech. Rep. Charles Boustany, a cardiothoracic surgeon from Louisiana, urged Obama to scrap the current bill and start anew with true bipartisan negotiations. “We agree much needs to be done to lower the cost of health care for all Americans. On that goal, Republicans are ready — and we've been ready — to work with the President for common-sense reforms that our nation can afford,” he said.
Quote:
By 10:30 p.m., Wilson had apologized.
"This evening I let my emotions get the best of me," Wilson said. "While I disagree with the president's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility."
I bet Rep. Joe Wilson gets re-elected by a large margin, he shouldnt have apologized.
THe look of shock on Nutzies face was priceless!
Rep. Wilson displayed abhorrent behavior.
Regardless of what you think of the President's plans, acting like a buffoon during a nationally televised speech is completely inappropriate.
No, I won't lighten up.
I won't let my 4 or 8 year old children behave in that manner.
For a supposed adult to act like that in a joint session of congress is beyond the pale.
Rep. Wilson wasn't the only member acting like a buffoon, the Rep. from Tx with a sign around his neck, various reps. waving papers around....
It's Congress, not a damned circus.
If the Republicans continue to behave like children, then they deserve ridicule and scorn, not respect. While the leadership of the House has been less than desireable, it doesn't justify their actions.
About the "illegals won't get HC" comment?
My opinion does not matter-here is the reality.
The Dems do not want to have to be I.D'ed for anything.....What will their stand be when they have to produce a insurance card or ID to gte care?
THAT would be the only way to insure the care goes to legal citizens in the country. (we could do microchips or forearm tattoos, that's still to be seen.)
If HC is pulled from the IAs, does BO take the chance of alienating the "Young Hispanic Voting Bloc" who have family members here illegally and have been given HC for years?
What about the people, knowing that they will be turned away from ERs/Med Centers because the are IA's? They then will only go to be seen when their condition is critical and we will have no choice but to treat them. We'll assume the cost of their care at a higher rate because they waited until they were almost dead?
What are the issues that will come up when the legal sys begins to take on clients whose loved ones died/or became sicker because the were denied/afraid/waited too long to get medical health?
---------------------------
The 10 p.m. "Noticiero" is in a few minutes. This should be interesting.
-------------------------
I didn't know he yelled, 'you lie', I thought it was just lies.
Oops!
Then the administration should have treated it like he was speaking to Congress and not a campaign event.
The POTUS should have arrived on time to speak at 8pm, not 8:10. The circus that was the members of the congressional branch greeting and escorting the POTUS, and the fawning over the POTUS cabinet like they where welcoming royalty, to me, was abhorrent.
Even with a teleprompter, he still stumbled all over his speech.
Ild find it abhorrent for any POTUS or House of Congress to pull this kind circus act.
When you go to a play and the the curtain is suposed to go up at 8:00, wouldnt you be irked if the curtain didnt go up until 8:10? Before the curtain went up wouldnt you be irked if the stage hands came out and announced they were escorting the prima donna into the theater?
Rep. Wilson deserves a slap on the back and an atta boy.
Your right. An atta boy is way to little for exercising his First Amendment rights.
So....
It's okay to exercise your First amendment rights by shouting over someone who is exercising theirs? Yep, great way to debate and solve problems.
Responsibility goes hand in hand with the rights enumerated in the Constitution.
The Representatives have handed the Democrats perfect examples of Republican behavior which they'd be foolish not to use in a campaign. It's always a bad concept to hand the opposition ammunition.
Note to the Republicans.....when you find yourself in a hole, put down the shovel.
The Representatives have the House floor open to them to speak as they wish daily for one minute speeches. Should the Representative wish to do so, he could use that time to speak his peace.
Interrupting a speech is petty and childish.
You complain about the President arriving 10 minutes late, but it's okay for someone to cause further delay and attempt to turn the speech into a circus?
Nice double standard.
Note to the Dems, dont bother with the shovel just get some union goons to do the heavy lifting for you. Heck beat people up while your at it.
Francis, the Dems have been shouting people down for decades, somehow its now in bad taste?
What double standard? The congress bent over backwards and filled the clown car! Dems and Reps alike.
Rep Wilson caused a half second delay with his remark Francis. THe speech was to start at 8:00 PM, who delayed the speech longer? Obama, or Wilson?
Nice broad brush. As a union officer, I guess I'm a "union goon".
Shouting people down is never in good taste. It's churlish behavior which has no place in a debate about an issue that's this important to the people of the US.
Bad behavior doesn't justify bad behavior. So the POTUS was late. Not the first time it has happened, not the first President who has committed the faux pas, and I doubt it will be the last.
BTW, my name isn't Francis.
Only if you are beating people up at Town Hall Meetings.
I agree with you. Rep Wilson didnt shout Obama down however.Quote:
Shouting people down is never in good taste.
If he didnt act like a celeb, I wouldnt have an issue with it.Quote:

Then why are you replying to posts addressed to Francis?Quote:
BTW, my name isn't Francis.
My whole focus was on Nutsy and the VP.
The look on her face is still making me laugh.
I thought it was someone from the 'peanut gallery' - some bozo that was a guest. The more I hear the Bigger the Oops! is.
But, I still enjoyed NP's reaction - can I please count that as a separation of "Blurt and Gape"?:eek:;)
I was hoping for more of a whack-a-mole with Nutsy. Next time the POTUS does a public address we should have a game of BINGO.
What a bunch of petty b.s., and all about a 10 minute delay!!! Some folks here will scrape the bottom of the barrel for something to complain about!
I'll give him those 10 minutes. Mr President spent 3 hrs in NY that morning, attending a memorial for Walter Cronkite.
I wonder how many other big wigs would have even made an appearance there, let alone stay for the duration, if faced with the prep and rehearsal that was needed for last night's address??
Get a life, blue.
What Rep. Wilson did was stupid and rude. But its just more of the same. The "D's" booed President Bush during some of his State of the Union addresses.
Lets try this America... Next election, vote for anybody BUT an incumbent.
I will vote as I wish, not based on someone else's suggestion.
And, you get to vote for the persons you want in office.
I'm not Democrat or Republican, but I was truly shocked at the behavior of some of the Republicans last night - waving petitions (or whatever they were holding), being verbally rude, texting on their Blackberry or cell). I frankly don't recall the Dem's booing Bush, but I'm sure they did, and I find that just as appalling.
They are/were the President's of this country, and they deserve respect, regardless of what we think of them.
Yeah, hate is the wrong word. But the "LOL" was at the end for a reason.
Let me say this though and FWIW... I find it interesting that things are taken in seemingly different contexts based upon who says it. Its not right or wrong mind you, just interesting.
Its all good, ya know? :)
Heard on the radio this morning...the guy Wilson very narrowly beat in the last election has had campaign contributions pouring in since Wilson pitiful performance last night. UPDATE - more than $200,000 since last night.
Good to know there are some people in South Carolina who still understand civilized behavior!
I was ten minutes late yesterday for a lunch meeting. Ran into road construction. I do not like to be late...I do what I can to not be late. But it happens.
well, well well. Guess who this guy is blaming...
If you need a translation of the above. A state politician was recorded telling in detail of the sex he had with a couple of female lobbyist. And I do mean details. All married of course if that matters.
He resigned.
But...not because he had sex with a couple of lobbyist. Not because he was taped recorded describing salacious details of his sex life.
Because you see...he didn't really have sex with them. He was just enjoying some story telling.
And his story telling had become a distraction.
And whose fault is all of this according to the story telling politician????
The Media of course!
The fallback of the failed...blame it on the media ...or the MSM if you are a code speaking failure!
It was all talk - no action?? I just heard about this on a sports radio show this morning. The host was nothing short of disgusted with Duvall, because he admitted to s-e-x with women - note the plural.
In one article, he is described as a married family-values crusader. Just what the GOP needs - another philandering politician.
So it was just another blow-hard, wanting to be perceived as a hottie
Yeah...he was just fantisizing...into an open mic...about women with whom he worked. That just about as sick as having sex with someone not your wife - heck, having sex with ANYONE and telling people all the details.
Please. How stupid does he think people are???
But he is an "champion of family values....":rolleyes:
And it is all the fault of the media!:rolleyes:
