{{Hugs}}to you both!
Aw, poor Bebo, that looks like an awful place for a big ol' cut - Syd looks so cute lookin in on him. Prayers for promising results on the way, and ((((hugs)))) to you & Nebo, Amy.
:( Oh Amy...I just saw this thread. Poor Nebo. Prayers that its nothing serious.
Oh Amy, this makes me so sad so I can imagine how you feel. Poor Nebo. Give him lots of hugs from me and I pray so much that it's benign. We love you Nebo! Get well really soon.
Thank you everyone, Nebo definitely appreciates all the prayers for him. :) The vet wasn't there when I picked him up, but the receptionist said that he was happy with the results of the surgery. I don't know the results of the blood test or what the tumor is yet though. *worried*
They gave me a plastic thing to put over his leg when he goes out. It seems to work ok...the snow is deep enough in places to reach the stitches but they haven't really gotten wet with that thing on. No e-collar, but he has been good...he's licked them a few times but he stops if I tell him too. I've been bringing him to work with me just in case. They did give me pain meds to give him for a few days. He seemed ok today, just a bit tired still.

I'm very glad to hear he's doing ok today and not in any pain.
Don't worry Amy, I'm sure everything will be alright. {{{HUGS}}}
What a good boy you are, Bebo! Kiara wanted me to let you know that she sent you a letter in the mail?? I have no clue what it is but look out for it!
{{HUGS}} to you both....
I just saw this thread.
Nebo and you will be in my thoughts. Prayers that this isn't anything serious and that Nebo will soon be able to enjoy the snow. :(
Take it easy Nebo. We're thinking of you handsome man. We want to hear you're all better so Mom can stop worrying about you :)
Good thoughts for NEBO!!!
Nebo, thats quite the incision. I really hope you start to feel better, boy!! soft ((HUGS)) to you! Still hope it's nothing serious.
Awwwww Nebo!! Sweetie, just stay on that pillow-bed.. and you'll be okay.. :)
Amy I'll be thinking of you - I'm sure Nebo will be OK! :)
Poor Nebo! Amy you must be sick with worry. :( I'm sure your boy will be just fine. :)
He is apparently feeling much better.....
I've been taking him outside with a bag taped over his leg (he can't get it wet and there's a few inches of snow in the yard) and on a leash. He has tried to go and get his ball for me to throw for him, he really wants to play, but I'm not supposed to let him run. I gave Reggie and Sydney a bath today, and since it's cold and snowy outside I put them on a leash to go potty so they wouldn't try to stay out long. Well, I was standing on the deck with the door open a bit to let them out and Nebo shoved his way past and took off at full speed running around the yard! He did not want to come in either, so yeah I'm sure the neighbors enjoyed watching me chase him and slide around in the snow in my slippers....;) I hope he'll be ok now that he got it wet, at least he didn't pop the stitches open running like that!
Nebo ,you silly boy , don't you know you aren't supposed to run yet? Glad he's feeling better.
Awww, such a nawtee Bebo! I don't really blame him though..he probably is wondering why he isn't allowed to go play. So glad to hear that he is so lively though ;) Get better soon Bebo so you can go for a nice long run!
Ok, I'm giggling! I would have loved to have seen you out there in your slippers trying to get Bebo back inside..lol. I'll bet he had a blast and was in play mode;). Glad to hear that his leg isn't bothering him. Still keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers and waiting for those results. The waiting is the absolute worse! Hang in there. I'm sure everything is going to be just fine.

Still sending Healing Vibes and Good Thoughts to "Nutty" Nebo.
Now Bebo, I'm glad you're feeling like running around and all that but you should really listen to your vet you silly boy, after all you don't want to have to back there for something silly like getting restitched.
Amy have you tried using vet wrap? Not sure how much good it would do but it's worth a shot.
Glad to hear he is feeling so much better. That has to help make you feel somewhat better. Now you will just have to figure out ways to keep him entertained until he can really play again. Still keeping the good thoughts and prayers going for Nebo.
Glad he's feelin better! :DQuote:

She'd hobble & limp out of sight ~
THEN Rip, Run & Dash on all FOURS behind the house!
When I'd call her back in - she'd RUN (on all Four) to just out of sight in
the front yard - then tuck up the "sore paw" and HOBBLE into sight and
up the front steps.
She milked that "sore" paw for months - long after the White Coat
assured me she was completely healed.

Nebo you behave yourself! When I had Ginger's removed I had to wrap her neck with a maxi pad and an ace bandage becuse she kept after it and cracker was just a baby and kept pulling it off. SHe finaly ended up popping all the stitches but thankfully she healed up really well in the end. I am sure he will heal with and you'll never know it was there.
Heal up fast Nebo so you can go play and stop worrying your mom!
Nebo, I am glad your feeling better and healing, but you need to be a good boy in the process!! lol, silly boy.
Nawtee boy Nebo ;). Glad to hear he is feeling better Amy, i can just picture the 2 of you outside "playing" chasey lol.
Good vibes still on the way {{Hugs}}.
Awwwww!! Nebo, you're such a character buddy :) Take it easy and stay off that sore paw. Be careful Amy. Don't fall in the yard and hurt yourself. Thoughts and prayers still coming to you from T, D and D, from Florida :D
Silly Nebo :)
When Max was stabbed & had to have his dew toe removed (the other side was removed at the same time) The vet kept him doped up for 2 weeks. I had to carry all 80p of him to go for his walks so he would potty. We kept him tied up to the big fluffy chair, just incase he felt like walking around. He had a lot of damage to his leg, so it was soo importants to keep him off his legs until it was healed. He had to wear bright orange banadges for a month, he looked like a race horse & got so much attention from people in the park ehhe
Glad to hear he's feeling better! It's always so hard to keep them from goofing off!
Hi Amy and Nebo,
I'm still thinking about you guys and sending out big hugs.
Glad to hear he's feeling better... :) Sounds like your going to have your hands full keeping him quiet...I had he same problem with Nikka after her hip surgery. The vet said keep her quiet and off it for 2 weeks  The first couple of days were fine...she had enough drugs in her she was fairly sleepy all the time. But, as soon as those tapered off she was out and running the yard. We put a sock on her foot with a small ping pong ball in it to force her to use only 3 legs when she went out potty (she won't go on a leash... ). She'd always go around the house where I couldn't see her from the deck and come back with the sock off running on all 4's. 2 weeks we battled this, I was so thrilled when the vet gave the all clear to let her use that leg again. I took everything off and let her go....and watched as she hopped around on 3 legs....2 weeks of battle and now that she's given the all clear she won't use it. ;) ....It took me another 2 weeks before I could get her to use that leg.
Nebo, you goofy boy! You're supposed to be taking it easy! Take advantage of it. ;) :D
Nebo is such a goofy boy. You think that's bad. When Jimmy first had his heartworm treatment it was very important that he didn't run for 6 weeks! So I had a 1 year old (Morty), a JRT wild maniac (Harley), and Sylvia(ok the last one is a bad example of a highly active dog) running around and I had to keep the new guy on a leash. It was so hard, especially when he saw squirrels in the yard. Impossible! But we got through it.
Prayers are still coming for Nebo and you. No matter what it is there are a lot of options.
Great news guys....your prayers worked!! :D The vet called today and said it was benign (not cancerous)......I think he said it was a hystiocytoma (sp?)....I'm sooooo happy!! *phew* That's a HUGE sigh of relief for sure! :D :D
