Cinder's Wed Morning Report ~
Hi, All you fellow Nawtee Dawgs ~ Hard as it may be to believe, all was calm and quiet at Phred's Ranch the last two nites. SmokeMutt has been on a short string the hole time, but I'm not sure why Dad bothers - since he hasn't lasted through the news either nite. I'm not sure who's supposed ta be "watching" the Kid, since Dad probably can't catch too much wiffin his eyeballs slammed shut an his headbone pointed atta roof cause the kliner is in the lay-back mode. Dad does a liddel *frantik dance* when he wakes up by shufflin his foots around the chair feelin for *wet spots*, but the Kid holds on till he gets an outie. Mornings are a trip - the Kid crosses his legs till we get to the Shop and he can do his stuff inna side yard. I keep tellin him we don't always go there every morning, but he won't lissen.
Smoke goes to skool tonight, so Dad's gonna drill him around the shop today. We got a new trainin treat last nite atta store - Honey flavored Cheerio thingies. Dad popped the box this morning to try 'em out on us. Only took a couple to convince Smoke and Me they were A-OK/Good. Then Dad tried 'em. We haven't had one since - and the box is 1/3 emptee now! Dang, I hate when things like this happen http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/mad.gif!
Oh yeah, Max & Annie ~ Nope, the rug sukker stayed in it's klozet garage and all the new kleening jugs remained unopened onna counter. We were "just gonna watch Ed" onna TV, then "get busy". Translation: Maybe tomorrow http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif.
Gotta go and convince Dad ta feed us brunch - which won't be easy cause he's not hungry account alla Cheerio's he pigged on all mornin! Hoomins can be sooo difficult ta manage! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Daisy here. Smoke, listen up. When I was just a pup, I peed in the house a lot. Mommy would always yell though, and say, "BAD dog Daisy! You do your pippees outSIDE!" I think pippees is pee in Mom's puppy talk. Anyway, I hated lettin' Mom down and gettin' her all mad at me, so finally I just started goin' outside, and it's not so bad! And don't be shy 'bout it, everyone's gotta go sometimes. Even hyoomins, I know, cuz sometimes if people don't close the baffroom door all the way I push it open. They get real embarassed too, but they shoudln't. I do my duties no matter what, anywhere outside is A OK with me! Good luck with that, K? Cinder, I LOVE Cheerios! But same problem here, Mom ate the WHOLE box. I got back at her by eating a loaf of bread so she went lunchless the next day. Hyoomans CAN be difficult. Listen to my day: first Mom gave me a BATH... yah, a bath. With lots of water. I hate water. Only good thing about a bath is that afterwards, I go crazy and shake and roll on everything, uncluding everyone's beds. I kinda got in trouble though when I rolled on Grandpa's bed, cuz he was still in it. Anyway, that's not all that happened to me. Then when I thought I was safe, out come the nail clippers! Those things are just bad luck, ya know? So Mom and her sister hold me down real tight and Mom starts to chop a paw when she realizes the darn things are broken! But she said I needed my nails clipped (I thought they looked just fine, and they made cool noises when I ran on the tile) so she used the broken things anyway, and it took her 15 minutes 'till I was free because the things did a bad job. It was a rough day. Don't worry though, I played it up real good and I got lots of treats and kisses. Well I gotta go, I think I smell some bad cats, so good luck with your trainin' Smoke, and Cind, just go eat a loaf of bread to get Dad back.
Woof,
Daisy

Hey, Smokey. Tell your daddy that I, too, swear by Oxi-Clean. I tried everything I could find on the market to get the male scent off my carpets. I had two male dogs, so once one would go, the other one would too. My whole house stunk and I was contemplating recarpeting the house. Very expensive. One cleaning with the Oxi-Clean and the smell was gone. I used four scoops in the scrubber instead of one. Now, I'm hooked on this stuff. It even worked on my mom's cat pee smell. Once strays started coming around, her cat started "marking" his territory in the house. She used oxi-clean and the next day all the smell was gone. This stuff is amazing. Let us know what works best for you.

NawteeDawg Hannah checking in. Like I told you, Cinder, Mom loves it when you call us all that. Makes her smile every time even with "the stock market in the toilet"...hmmm, every time I look, I don't see nuthin in the toilet! Mom really needs to smile too, 'cause she wasn't in a very good mood yesterday afternoon when from two rooms away she heard my notorious *gurk, gurk, guRRKKK* in her office. She came a running but by then it was too late as I had upchucked a load right by her desk. She couldn't figure out what I had in my tummy to drop that big of a pile since I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, but the bird seeds kind of gave it away. My nemisis, Squirrel, has been pushing lots of stuff to the ground from the feeder, and when a girl is hungry, a girl is hungry. Then last night, everybody was in the big bed sawing ZZZs, Mom and the Tucker were back to back under the covers. Tucker is having a dream and it must have been a doozy 'cause he's making all kinds of muffled noises when he starts emitting another kind of noise...gurk, gurk. Well he never got out the third gurk, cause bed covers went flying in the air and the infamous OUT, OUT, OUT wakes up everybody. Fortunately nuthin got regurgitated and Tucker got a cookie to settle his stomach. Now how fair is THAT?
I'm the one who lost my lunch, and I get nuthin, Tucker threatens an upchuck and he gets a cookie. And this morning, all I did was lick the soap by the bathtub and I get another lecture. I think she's still on my case for getting Dad to side with me to vote for NO CATS in this house. Well, I better get off the puter so she can get to work, and I got some morning napping to get in. Check you all later.

Hannah,
Lilly did the same thing last night. But she started before she even went to bed. She threw up piles of grass. She must have grazed like a cow yesterday. Then she moaned in her sleep during the night and mom ended up on the floor beside her, petting her. Mom was hovering all over her. She was so worried. I don't ever throw up and did she hover over me? No way. Why does she love Lilly so much when she's making such a mess?
Lilly still doesn't feel good this morning and mom is worried. The vet isn't working today, so mom is going to watch her real close and maybe call a different vet if she gets worse during the day. I think she's sick because of all that grass she ate. Mom thinks she ate the grass because she didn't feel good. All I know is I sure didn't get much sleep last night since Mom stayed up late, worrying about Lilly, and then when Lil started moaning this morning, Mom got up with her again.
Anybody have any idea what could be wrong with Lilly? I'm sure my mom would appreciate it if you do.
I think I'll go take a nap now.
Love, Honey

Hi Everybody! Star here. Boy, sure sad to here a all da upchuckin. Sounds like what Cody and I had last week. Mom called doc Paul and we were all on rice and boiled bird for two days. Doc Paul said it mighta been sumthin we ate. Probably sumthin from the outside. Personally, I love birdseed. Always sends me a chuckin too, Hannah. And soap???? Boy, do I love a good, mushy bar of dove. I always sneak a lick in, especially in the summer outta da outdoor closet with the rain machine! Keeps me blowin bubbles from both ends for hours! Don't know why our hoomins think all this stuff tastes bad!?? Mom's always doin the throwin the covers back thing and yelpin in the middle a da night. Usually cuz Mr. B the cat is bout to hurl a pile right on her head. Good thing I hear them four paws always land on their feet, cuz he surrrrre goes a flyin through the air! I sure hope Lilly girl is feelin better. Probably just a little upset, but I feel for yer mom Lilly. She loves you so. My mom told me. Try and rest and just take little bits a plain food and water. Sometimes the doc gives me a little Pepto when I'm feeling poorly in the gut. Maybe your mom can call the "on call" doc just to calm her nerves a bit? Do ya think ya have a temperture?? Doggies do get doggie type stomach flus sometimes, I hear. You take care pal. Let me know how ya feel soon, OK? And how are Cinder and the Kid? SO glad to hear that the potty problems are finally findin a rhythm! AND.....SKOOL??? We definitely need an update on how you're progressin! Hey Daisy!!! How ya doin kid! While we're on the topic a upchuckin.....Keep an eye on yer mom!! After doin all them Cheerios, it's a wonder she ain't hurlin herself!! Love your bath stories by the way, Daisy girl! Hah! I LIVE for a good soaking! Bath, a hosedown, a swim, rainstorm, whatever way I can git it. But I's sure wit ya on the nail sawing thing. NOPE!!! WILL NOT let her near with dem things. Ever since I was a pup, I laid the law down! Thanksfully for my mom, I run sooooo much, if ya kan believe it, I've never had to had my nails sawed ONCE !! So trim and smooth, Doc Paul says they looks like they been filed!! Well, better go. We're gettin set for a dooozy of a snowstorm. Wooppppeee! Lots a fun in the A.M.!! Bye to all my friends. But especially Lilly who is feeling a bit under the weather! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif Love to all, Star and Cody

Smokey's Skool Report Kard ~
Dad an SmokeMutt both looked a little *green* around the corners when they got back from skool last nite - sumpin about they both had too many Cheerios? Dad tried carrying some in his mouth so's he didn't have to fumble in his treat pouch, but each time he loaded up he needed to say sumpin to the Kid and had to chew up the stash. Kid did purdy good according to his teach; she's kool with his walkin' backards as long as he heels inna right direction at least some of the time. He's about the most laid-back mutt inna class - a few of 'em are kinda hyper and spent a lotta time bouncin up inna air. Smoke was a little slow wiffa *down*, but he showed me how he does it now. Kinda crouches down, then sorta falls over onna side, stretches out, an rolls over onna back http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif. Dad's kinda frantik and tries to gather him up and push him inta a more compact pile wiffa feets onna bottom, but the teach says he's OK as long as he's *down*. Yipes! At least I can do a *down* wiffout wavin' my privates http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/redface.gif at everbody.
Daisy ~ Wha'd you do that you hadda have a baff inna middle of winter! And don't feel bad about Gramps - I bet it was time for him ta get up anyhow. I hate that toe choppin too - I try to walk quiet inna kitchen so's Dad won't hear me klikin'.
Hey Steno-G ~ kan you buy that Oxi-Kleen stuff inna store, or does it hafta come over the TV or the Net? We tried 3 stores and nobody had it.
Hannah ~ Magin that - my Dad says his bizness is inna toilet, too - but I've looked both at home and the Shop an I don't see one in there... Sound like you guys have the same trouble at your house as I do dealin with the *gurk & yurks*. I tell him and tell him - Don't *SHOUT* at me when I'm fixin ta do a *gurk* - that makes me all nerbus and then I can't walk fast to the door. If the Two-Leggers would just open the door quiet like, we'd get there in plenty of time. But no, they gotta holler and wave their handpaws and get everbody all upset. Sheese, Hoomins http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/mad.gif. Oh; how does the Tuck get a *cookie* ta "settle his tummy"? If I do either a *gurk* or a *yurk* I'm outta luck for seein anything solid for a few hours. Most I ever get is a glurg of water. I had Dad read yer post, and all he did was raise one eyebrow.
Star*Brite*, Cody, now Lilly ~ Whassup with alla *hurlin*? Course eatin rice with boiled burd or stu'd cow is a great way to eat - but all that *yurkin* puts a lott strains onna fambly harmonie an makes for sum *tense* moments. Youse guys shoul maybe ease off and think of nother way to grab some attentions. And I never did lika taste of that Bepto-Bis-Yuck http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/tongue.gif stuff.

Cinder:
Tell yer dad that my mom buys the OxyClean stuff at either some place called Wal-Mart or K-Mart. I don't know what these places are cuz mom says we have to stay in the car. All I know is sometime if we're reel gud, she brings us pig ears from these places. Tell yer dad that if he's having trouble finding it in his area, let her know and maybe she can send him some to try out.
Later,

Hi everybody.
Just thought I'd get you straight on the "sick" thing Honey told you about. I just had a tummy ache and I couldn't always make it outside. I probably did eat too much grass when my tummy was hurting, but I am much better now. I haven't been sick in 24 hours. I even ate some breakfast this morning, but I didn't have any yesterday. Mom tried, but I just didn't want to eat.
That Honey thinks she is supposed to get all of the attention because she's going to "skool" now and she thinks its because she is more important. Mom didn't bother to tell her its because she isn't as good as me. I don't need to go to skool.
I guess me and Honey better make up and be good sisters again. We really do like each other a lot, just have what mom calls "sibling rivalry". What's that?
Our mom is leaving us on Sunday for four whole days. Our grandparents are coming to stay with us and Helen. They are bringing their new dog, Mr. Darcy. We were kind of in hopes that Scout would come too. She's more like us, but Betsy, our grandma says that with Mimi and now Butter, that would be a little too much to manage. Scout likes to chase cats alot and Mimi has gotten used to her, but we think Butter might get really upset if Scout chases him up a tree. We don't want him to run away. Cause we like to chase him sometimes too, but he knows we're just playing.
Anyway, I just wanted to get the story straight for you.
Love, Lilly

Hey, Smoke, tell your dad that I buy Oxi-Clean at Wal-mart. I got the last one the last time I was there. It's hard to keep that stuff on the shelves. They're usually either sold out or have very few there. If your dad can't find it in a store he can try their website. http://www.oxiclean.com/

Cinder and Smoke,
Tell your dad that I found Oxi Clean at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I hate to go to Walmart! They had plenty at this store, in fact, its the first place I have seen it. I'm trying it out on the "throw up" spots Lilly made tomorrow. Hope its as good as everyone says it is!

Oh Logan!!! I always knew you were my true soul mate!! Another person who actually HATES to go to WalMart! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif I'm not sure what OxyClean is supposed to do? Is it for stain removal? I know to keep dogs and cats from peeing on the same spot, you really need the enzyme activated cleaning stuff like Nature's Miracle to completely remove the smell. It is AMAZING stuff. Completely takes away the odors they can still smell, though we can't. My friend had a cat who would continually mark the same spot on her couch, no matter how well she cleaned it. After using it, the cat never went back again. It was the only thing that took away a kitty pee smell out of my wood floor where my one girl use to go when she was sick. Let me know how the Oxy stuff works!

1) Who is Butter and what did I miss? http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
2) How can anyone hate Wally world? I am a Wally World addict!!! I love Walmart!!!
3) Shai baby hasn't had a gurk for awhile, but my carpets are filthy from putting in a furnace in Oct, and all the mud tracks that no matter how much I wipe and rinse off her feet they are still muddy. I have 3 days off next week and plan on steam cleaning them then.

Hey Shais Mom,
You probably missed reading about Butter if you're not a "cat" person. I adopted him about 7 weeks ago. He is a young, fun loving male that is hated by my female cat, Mimi.
In fact, I realized this morning that things are not getting any better between them. He is just curious, and doesn't hiss at her, but she makes up for it. She has gotten worse over the last few days. I'm so anxious for warmer weather so I can let them outdoors more often. They will both be much happier then.
And to Sandra too....I hate crowded parking lots and long lines, and every WalMart I know has that problem. I usually visit KMart or Target, which aren't nearly as busy. Plus, I like their stuff better anyway. I love stores that have carts to push around, just not WalMart.
Sandra, the oxi clean is a stain remover. I'll let you know what happens.
Have a great weekend everyone. I'll catch up when I return late next week.
Logan

Wonder where Cinder and the Kid are. Has been kinda boring without the progress reports.
-
http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif Cinder here! We were all busy celebrating Spring (wuz 65 degrees an sunny on Sunday), but The Man Upstairs turned the Sunball off again and winter came back. We hitched Dad up to his y-thingy and drug him around the Lake Park Sunday morning; then ran him around samore at the little park near the Shop in the afternoon. He got tired so he unhooked an let the Smoke and Me run just tied to each other. We're gettin a little better coordinated and are a lot better at not tryin to go on different sides of things while we're tied together. Smoke's figgured out that it don't hurt so much iffin he follows me around the trees 'stead of goin on his side http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/tongue.gif.
SmokeMutt's been praktisin his skool lessins every day wiff Dad. They're a Hoot doin *sits* - Dad gets out the "si" part of *sit* and the Kid plops his butt so hard it sounds like Dad stompin his foot! Only rub his the lil' Dummie won't do it that good when they're heelin - Dad stops, Smoke stops an looks up with his *Duh, huh?* look, then swings out and sits down in front of Dad. I'm sure the Kid thinks "No; *skrunch around beside the leg*; *Sit!*" is some sort of legit exercise 'cause they do it so often http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif. Dad sure seems ta get tired of reaching down and *skrunchin* the Kid's butt into the heel position. And of course his *Down* is still a slow motion collapse into a pile that leaves him pointed in just about any direction. They make a great sirkus act when they work as a team!
They were just about to start lessins around the Shop when "it" happened a while ago. Dad wuz doing stuff at his desk, I wuz nappin unner the puter, and Smoke wuz bone chompin onna rug by the door. I woke up ta the sound of water runnin http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/redface.gif. Hey, Dad; ya hear water runnin? Dad looks up to see the Smoke squattin onna rubber mat takin a *pee*. Dad hollers "No!" and jumps up. Smoke stops, takes a couple steps onta the carpet mat, and continues wiff his *pee*. Dad comes unglued and grabs for the Mutt - who, believing his life to be in danger, runs for the safety of the puter rug where I was. But he furgot ta shut off the pump, so's we got this piddel trail from the door mats to the puter. By the time they got outside the Kid's tank was empty, so there was no "good boy" for doin a little bit outside. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif Dad ties the Kid up short to the trash bin and gets the hose out to wash the mat and rug, which he drapes over the bin. Member the kid's tied up short, right where Dad's workin onna mats. Next thing I hear is ThunderLungs hollerin "Son of a ?itch" an he starts squirtin the hose onna bottom of his hard-foot. Hmmmm; step in sumpin, Dad? Don't blame the Kid, Dad - it's his most favorite spot and you DID tie him there yerself! Probably gonna be a minit or two 'fore lessins start, seeing as how certain parties are feelin a little *tense* just now...
As I've said before - sure do like having the SmokeMutt around... Takes all the old pressures off Me having to be the *good gurl* all the time. I can be my reglur ol' NawteeDawg self and still look like a Saint! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif
Hey, Andy & Trevor ~ Did the Hoomins assign a name to your new K-9 sister yet? I know you guys been talkin to our Kat - just 'member ours has razor-klaws and you don't! Bet your K-9 is gonna *Rule* in your house. Sure hope they don't chop up her fur coat an make her look like a sissy. Ask yer Mom to get her a bandanna to wear round her neck like Smoke and I do. That'll look better than a funky haircut!
Keep waggin' yer Tails, everbody!

Haven't met up with the critter yet, but he's still here and I think I'm in for more bats on the nose with them sharp hook things. One Kat man in the house was enuf for me. Cinder & Smoke.....it's me Bella (Trevor and Andy's new sister). It's kinda hard for me to reach the keyboard so my new mommy is helpin' me. So far I've tried to make friends with Andy and Trevor, and Andy is really sorta nice. We were walking all over today, side by side, and he was rubbing himself up against me. I don't think he was pushin' me or anything. It sorta seemed like a friendly thing. Trev sat sorta far off and just watched. He used to hiss at me a little bit but I don't know why. He's gettin' a little more friendly now but I really think he wishes I was only visitin' and would be goin' home soon. I think he's sorta set in his ways if ya know what I mean. I was sniffin' Andy's "private area" while he was layin' on the floor and he gave me a little kick with the back legs. I know he doesn't have razors on the front but I could tell that the back legs are a different story. Gotta try and remember about the razors in the back. Don't know why he doesn't like me sniffin' him there. Us doggies consider that part of a normal greetin'.
By the way, my mommy would never give me a fussy haircut. She said doesn't like them at all on her pups. She says I will be more of a Plain Jane but she still likes to watch 'em bein' all dolled up on TV when Westminster is on. She said that's a neat show and next year I'll be able to stay up and watch it and see all of the fancy hairdos on some of my distant relatives. Time for my nap. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Hey Star*Shine* an Cody Dawg ~ Cinners an SmokeMutt here ~
Guess you guys won't see this for a day or so while your Dad's playin Puter White Coat; what kinda disk thingey is he puttin in? As for Spring gettin here - it was nice while it lasted - all of one day. Most of the lakes went sqwishe but the wadder is still awful kold http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif for swimmin. We'uns gotta keep our winter furs a while longer - Dad just got the gas bill atta Shop an said a hole buncha NawTee wurds about the bandits atta gas company. Then he twisted the round thingy onna wall an it got a liddel kolder here inna Shop. Much kolder in here an it'll be warmer stayin outside. I hate it when the wadder dish gets krunchie on top!
And how 'bout all them new furbabies at your place? I never saw any GinnyRats atta jail where I wuz - dint know they needed ta get resqued by the TwoLeggers. Whatz it gonna do - have races wiffa Katz? Could be a purdy neet cirkus wiff the GinnyRat out front, coupla Katz inna middel, an then you and the Codster keepin everbody movin from the back end. But Wow! Anudder Kat inna house? Do you guys beat up onna Kat #1 so much he's gotta have a backup for help? When are you guys gonna get ta check out Oliver? I spekt he's gonna keep his razor-klaws, huh? Wun mouser in our house is just plentee, thank you Dad. Coure he don't mouse, he just plays wiff em when they come inta the house. Even shares his krunch wiff the liddel guys. We found that out when Dad showed Boots the liddel teeny mouse poopies that were all around his Kat bowl a couple times. Last one stayed too long an Dad found Boots and him playin Kat & Mouse inna baffroom http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/redface.gif. Dad rounded up the guy an put him loose inna front yard. Dad's a softie!
Now letz all say a big frendlee *Hi!* to our newest DawgTalker {{Bella}} http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif. Purdy kool that she's poundin onna keyboard so quick after movin inta Ms Pam's house wiff the KatBoys Andy and Trevor. Too bad the Boys hafta start sharin the joint wiffa Dawg, but we all know life will be a LOT more innerestin for them Katz wiffa Dawg to keep 'em busy and entertained http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/tongue.gif. Now Watch Out, there, Miss Bella - your Kat brudders been puter talkin wiff our Kat and ours has been tellin your brudders sum tips on how to beat up onna Dawg wiffout gettin caught in the act. Watch out for those fist-paws - they make a horrabul sound when the Kat *bONks* ya http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif onna nosebone. Ya gotta member there's two of them an only wunna you. As fer sniffin Kats; lemmie tell ya - Our Kat don't take kindlee ta bein snifft atta front, middel or rear. Butt sniffin unner the tail will get ya a fast tripple *nose-bonk* and a Hisser wiffa lotta Kat spitz. Smoke gets alla that and a sereus Grrrowler fer good measure.
OK, Smoke; I'll tell em. SmokeMutt wants ta let ya all know he did reel good at skool again on Wensday nite. The teech came wiffout her show-n-tell dogie so she wuz usin student dawgs durrin class. And she only knows the dog names - Smokey, Max, Shorty, Gizmo and all the others; never says a Hoomin name the whole class. Go Dawgs!

Daisy here. Welcome to the site, Bella! It's a lotta fun! But now I gotta vent a lil'. My gramma took me to the vet the other day. I dunno if I like that place that much, 'cuz there was cats in cages. They freaked me out. Then the vet wanted to weigh me on this big metal table thing, but I wasn't gonna agree to that! I ran away and sat at the door moanin', but they got me back and pulled my leash. I'm too smart for them though, I just craned ny neck a lil' and slipped right out of my collar. I do that a lot, it's pretty fun! I did that three times 'afore I lost the battle. I guess I have gained nine pounds since summer and Doc says I'm one pound away from being overweight. I don't know what that means, 'cept I know it's bad 'cuz Mom's been makin' me ezzersize and I don't get as much food! I think I look just fine the way I am! Then the vet gave me SHOTS! My boyfriend Moe says shots hurt but I guess he don't got lotsa extra skin like I do, 'cuz it doesn't hurt on me. Doc just pulled a lotta neck skin and gave me two shots and I didn't feel anythin'. I wasn't even scared! Well maybe I was a lil' scared, an' I buried my head in Gramma's chest so's a I wouldn't see no sharp thingies in my flaps o' skin. Then Gramma and Doc talked about someone called Sir Jury and how I was might have some Sir Jury to get this red swollen gland outta my eye. It's called a cherry eye, Mom said. It kinda bothers me sometimes but I am a lil' scared at what this guy might do to get it out. I don't know who Sir Jury is but when Gramma told Mom I might hafta meet him, she looked kinda scared. Any idea who Sir Jury is? Oh well. Cinder and Smoke, I am jealous you guys got a day o' warmness. It's real cold here and snowy too. We're s'posed to get a big storm Tuesday. I like the snow but I can't wait until I can nap on the porch steps in the sun again. I always get more food and walks in the warmness too. Oh, and I got a great story to tell! I saved my Mom's life this mornin', 'cuz she forgot to set her clock that yells at her to get up every mornin', an' so she slept right through when it usually starts its beepin'. I woke up for some reason, and I thought to meself, hey, why isn't Mom up? It's her skool day. So I licked her face 'till she sat up and she said, "Oh Daisy I forgot to set my clock! Thank you SO much!" She was sorta late and had to shower fast but I saved her. I am a hero and for being a hero I got an extra treat. I just thought I'd share that with you guys. Well it's pretty late now and Mom's ready to carry me upstairs, so's I gotta go. Seeya later doggies!
Slobbery Kisses,
Daisy Mae Tucker

Hi Daisy.....Bella here!! Guess what? I was at the white coat's last night too! He was checkin' me all over and put a big cold thingy on my chest and stuck some plugs inna his ear that were connected to the big cold thing. Then he did an awful thing! He stuck something up my rear end. It had numbers on it and he was happy that my numbers were good. Don't know what that was all about, but I'm gonna tell mom to tell him my numbers are good next time before we go so's I don't hafta have that thing done again!
This morning mom put me outside and I did a real big puddle inna yard but I didn't wanna do the other thing cause I was playin' and not concentratin' so Mom brought me in. Well when she went to the basement to feed those cats I did my poopies onna kitchen floor. Mom felt bad that she didn't leave me inna yard a little longer, me but she cleaned it all up and put it in this shiny thing inna baffrom and pushed a shiny thing and it made a big noise and disappeared.
I don't know what sir jury is Daisy, but I hope they don't pull out that thing with numbers on it and put it you know where. I don't think I'm gonna like goin' to the white coats. I'm little but I'm learnin' lotsa stuff every day. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Hey there Cinder and Smoke ! Merlin here , Mom was going though her photos last night and was telling me a cute story. It seems when she was younger she was in 4-H and her leader had 2 german shepards Smoke and Fire , The story is the first week of living in a new neighbor hood , when ever she called them the neighboers all came out . So she had to make a flyer introducing them to the neighbors. I guess it would be a little concerning SMOKE ,FIRE!! Thought you two would get a kick out of that one. Talk to you all later

Hey Daisy ~ Cinners here ~
I think that Sir Jury guy works at my White Coat's place cause Dad and Dr Mike talked about him just before I got the zipper put in my tummy. The day I went in and got left there the Office Gurl was talkin bout that Sir Jury guy and told Dad ta come back for me when Sir Jury was dun. He musta had sumpin ta do wiff the zipper job. Everbody sez I'm a lot better off after Sir Jury got done with me; sumpin about I won't have a buncha health problems. Maybe you should let the Sir Jury guy lookit your eye - might feel better after he zippers it. Better make sure your White Coat is there too - I don't like going to his place unless Dr Mike's there. As for that warmness thing, ya know - Spring; it went away big time over the weekend. Dad sez we're gonna get a lizzard tanite, but the silly HotBall is reel brite inna sky an now he's not sure if the lizzard is gonna get here. Wunder what a lizzard looks like?
Hey Bella ~ Don't wunna skare ya, but ask yer Mom to tell ya bout Sir Jury puttin a zipper in yer tummy. Try ta get her ta stay wiff ya when ya go to the White Coat's place for the zipper. Dad dint stay and I wuz reel wurried http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif and cried sum.
Merlin ~ That wuz a funnie story bout yer Mom's 4-H friend http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif. Good think Dad dint hear that while we were all workin on SmokeMutt's name - he mite not have the wun he's got iffin Dad thunk about hollerin "Smoke" http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif outside.
I just checked the Weather Gesser's site an showed Dad; they quit talking bout the lizzard and now say it's just gonna make about 4 inches of fluffie rain. Dad sez that means we can't call tamorrow a "snow day" and stay home http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif.
Wags ta All; Woof at ya later http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Hey Cinder, Smoke and all you ***Nawteedogs***! We're finally back ta sorta normal here! Phew, what a week. First we gotta get all this stuff stuffed into the 'puter so mom can send and save pics on platter disky things. Then we all hadda learn how ta work it! I kan tell by the look on my mom's face she wasn't likin learnin bout all this stuff. Few nites things were just a LITTLE HAIRY round here wif lotsa mumblin and geeeezing. The nice man at Pet Talk Paul is gonna help mom plaster mine and the Codster's puss' on the Pet Talk page. Hope we get it up and goin soon. Love to know what you guys thinka me and my sister. Side from that, we're all ajustin to the new KAT Oliver!!! Me, I was soooo cool! Mom couldn't believe it!! So was the senior Kat Mr. B! I was expectin the hooks to come out real quick like, lots a kitty spitz, grrrrring and hisssin, fur a flyin, mom having a nervis bust up. But we all just gave a sniffin here and there and nary a hair was raised on either side. I already know I'M #1 in the lineup and I OWN the couch so if a nudder kid wants ta join the crew, fine by me! Even Mr. B, the senior kitty klaw man was cool. After a minute a chekin out the new kid, the two konked out ona couch and snoozed! Mr. B even don't mind sharin his vittles! Now Cody's just a bit kurious. Being the major squirrel slayer that she is, mom says its gonna take a few days till Cody learns the new kid ain't a tree rat for chasin. Even the guinnie piggie Squeeks loves the new kid, sittin side by side, kissin through the cage bars. That Squeeks sure is brave! I think my mom was so surprised kuz the new kid still hadda go ta the White Coat's to get the MAJOR SNIP! Poor kid came home a bit wobbly but he seems to be doin just fine now, scamperin and doing "Gorgo's" and hangin from da drapes. So that's all that news here. What you all been up to? Sure missed talkin wit ya all. We were gonna have a big "lizzard" as you call it Cind, but it was a bid DUD!!! Lotsa hoomins threatnin ta sue the weather hoomin ona count they shut down the whole place cuz we was gonna be plowed under. Just lotsa clouds cryin water. We wuz hopin for lotsa white stuff for rollin and playin, but just lotsa mud to trak round da house. How's the Kid doin in skool? Must be gettin pretty close ta graduatin! Sure proud a ya Smokey! Still wanna know when we all kan getta a peek a da two a ya. My mom says she puttin all the pics a all the dawggies plastered here on a disky thing for savin. We're gonna call it "Dawggie Friends." Sure would love ta put you guys ona plattter thingy too. And what frisky things you two been up ta? Sure hope yer all still behavin and yer eyeballs ain's seein any time outs ona basement wall Smokester! Cind, has the Smokey Kid got the bafroom thingy down yet? Sure hope so!
Daisy, Bella! Boy, you kids sure were brave at the White Coat's!! That kan be one SCARY place!! I always put up the good fight, fussin and rollin and tryin ta excape, but Dr. Paul and mom always win. Cody's a lot better at it. She's always gettin all the "good girl" cooing and kissin. YUK!! What a momma's girl!
Bella, really wanted to tell ya BIG welcome. I agree with Cind. You sure kan write on 'puter good. Yer story bout the OOOPS on the kitchen floor was a real "been there dun that!" Don't ya just hate it when da humans take ya in fore yer ready to lose it!!? Then we end up lookin nawtee if we go ina house! Yer mom sounds real cool bout it tho!
Daisy...Yikes!!! Up 9 notches on the silver table. What's yer mom feedin ya? http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif If I had my way, eatin every thing I wanted, I'd be in BIG trouble! Us labs are real chow pups, ya know.
Hi Merlin! Still belly rollin after readin yer story bout your mom, Fire and Smoke!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif
Bet Phred gotta good laugh outta dat one!
Well, as them hoominss say, it's rainin kats and dawggie here this mornin, tho I'm not seein any fur or whiskers flyin myself. Guess there'll be no roamin the dunes today. Think I'll just kurl up ona couch wif the labmote and supervise everyone. Maybe mom will give us a chewie of sumthin xtra yummy to keep us busy so we don't drive her nuts, which we love ta do! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif
Well, woof for now and bark at ya later. Sure nice talkin wif ya guys and keep an eyeball pasted onna forum ta check out our photo debut! Mom's askin ya all to be kind if ya reply...wonder what THAT means!!???
Love Star and Codster

Cinder, Smokey....Hey, you guys there? And Hi! to all you NAWTEEDAWGS! Star the "internet" "star" here! Sure do miss hearin from the dynamic duo! Hope yuz guys are okeeeedokeeeee! Well, I already told ya bout the new klaw kid "Olive-pit!" This 4 legger is a real hoot http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif providin endless hours a antics an belly rolls fer me and the family. Seems the rug rat has a reeeeel love a all thinigs wet. Every mornin the kid sits out sida the water closet widdah spout in the wall. Mom left the door open and the nut-cracker jumps in! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif After jumpin out and shakkkkin off, he does it again! Well this time mom tosses the wet mop out and shuts the door. As mom tells it, all was progressin as usual when the hoomins take a scrubin, until...she thinks she hears the newcomer mewoin...LOUD! Off goes the water hose and as mom steps out, what does she see???? The Olive-pit sittin insida the flusher bowl, widdah head poppin over the rim! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif! Seems the little fella dipped in for a drink and "fell in an couldn't get out!" I think we gotta "water saver" type flusher bowl wit only a small bit a water in the bottom fer flushin. The little runt hadda reach in just a bit too fer to getta drink and OOOOPS! It was a "dunk" job! Wish I coulda been der to see dat one! And they say I'm always gettin "inta" things! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif Well, no harm was done, cept the kid hadda get a reeeel tubby wash ana blow dry widdah hot air machine. Geeeeez, I think mom needs some hints on stylin kitty coats cuz the runt sure looked like he put his paw inna ***SoCKeT*** when she was done! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif Still, he won't give up tryin ta get inta the sink, water closet, bowl, you name it. Even dunks his head inna drinkin bowl! Maybe he was a fishy in his udder life! Well, that's my update on all things new and furry here. By the way Cind, did ya see me? Did ya see me? Mom finally unscrambled her brain ~wav~~~es~ and learned how ta paste pictures a me and the Cody-girl ona Pet Forum! If ya getta chance, check me out! Mom's forum friends were reeeeel nice and said such kind things bout me and Codster. Like ta take a moment to thanks em all from the bottom a my heart. After all da LIES my mom told bout me, thought the komments might not be so kind....phew! Sorry I'm not givin ya my best side inna picture, "butt", hey, that's my mom's fault! So now, I've shown you mine. NOw you all gotta show me yours! Hope yer all behavin and havin fun there at the Phred Ranch for destitute and needy furkids in needa a lovin home! Heard the Kid's doin real good in skool. Just knew ya had it in ya Smokey! Well, here's to spring acomin. Fore long my mom says she's gonna open our swimmin hole. I like ta call it "Sparky (that's my knickname) Pond" as its my own personal water park. Hope to hear from ya soon. Gotta go...I hear water splashin.......? La ya all, Star...Woof!

HI again, all yor Nawtee Dawgs an Hoomins ~ Cinder here ~
Sorry to worry those that thought we got losted or sumpin - we kinda had the feeling that our Tails were startin to get stale. We've been a little busy of late, what wiff Dad teaching at Firefighters Skool two nits a week and SmokeMutt doin skool anudder nite...
Things have been, well, interesting of late.
Smokey's doing reel well at skool, at least both he an Dad are smilin when they come back to pick me up after klass http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif. Dad wants to take me back to show me off to my old teacher, but he's fraid I'd be a big-mouf and not stay quiet. And we don't have a portable jail to set up like all the professional skool dogs bring every nite. I don't know iffin I could do a hour long *down* insde one a them little jail cages like the pro students have to do while their Two-Legger werks wiff a brother or sister dog inna ring. Dad sez there's a couple famblies that put TWO doggies tagether inna net baggie jail that jest barely holds em side by side. And Dad keeps tellin me that NOBODY is ever allowed to *woof* or cry. Guess that's why I'm probably not goin again tanite http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif. Mebbie I can go for a while then sit inna car; think I'll ask Dad.
WHOOPIE! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif Dad sez OK, if I promise to be good. Gotta go - I hafta do drills wiff Smoke to take the "edge" off fore we go. Hope we're all still talkin to each other after skool http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif.
Hey *Star*Shine* ~ Ain't them KlawKids jest a screem! Our Kat's past the dumKat stage most a the time, but that time he got 'tacked by the Evil Blue Bag wuz kinda close to your *Olive-Pit* and his white flusher adventure.
Gots ta go - off to skool for a *howdy* http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif.

Cinder's baaack ~
Wuz I good at skool? Don't ask Dad http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif. All I did wuz Jump, Pull, Tug, Lunge, Butt Sniff, Whine, Yeowl, Dance, and in general act like a half crazed, totally untrained dolt. Jest like I did every nite when I went in to klass http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/tongue.gif. Smoke kept lookin at me like I wuz nutz. After I had Dad all red inna face I started ta calm down a liddel cause I thought I wuz gonna get ta go inna ring, but jest fore Smoke's klass started I got hustled out to the car http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif.
Anyhow, back to whutz been goin on of late...
Smoke did a nudder NawteeDawg inna hallway kuppla weeks ago. We'd dun our *outies* fer the nite and Dad wuz finished doin his thing inna baffroom and gomes out ta see Smoke, leg high inna air, jest a washin down the wall http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif. Dad tried grabbin towels, openin the front door, grabbin the the Smokester ta toss him out, all the time skreemin sum Nawtee Wurdz http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/mad.gif. Course it took 3 or 4 laps round the living room to capture the Kid, who immediately started *skreemin* like he wuz gonna get kilt; me an Kat jest went inna bunkroom and hided. Dad sopped up a roll of towels wortha warm pee, then spent annuder hour playin wiff his fresh can of OxiClean. [Oh yeah, Lilly, Honey & StenoG ~ after 3 trips to Wally's Mart a gurl who dint eben werk in that parta the store showed Dad where they hid the OxiKleen. Dad wuz redy to give up on Wally and drive cross town to that Bed, Baff & Breakfast place that said ober the teledingy that they had the stuff.] Dad got dun moppin an soppin and marched the Mutt past the krime seen and strait down to the time-out wall inna basement. He sleeped there three nites fore he wuz allowed back inna bunkroom. We havent had anudder problem since, but Smoke still kant unnerstan why Dad anna Kat get to do their stuff inna baffroom and us big FurKids gotta go outside. Smoke sez he's gonna praktis tryin ta lift his leg ober top of the big white water bowl like Dad duz http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/rolleyes.gif.
We missed a kupla days onna puter cuz the fambly jaloppee (aka the corporate limo) got sicklee an hadda go see the kar doktor - two differnt times. Dad wuzent reel hapee wiffa kar doc kuz the second problem wuz what they said the furst fix wuz gonna fix. But at least it quit makin that *grindin noiz* when we turned kornerz. I thunk SmokeMan and I were gonna hafta pull the boat home a few nites.
Hey Lilly ~ Howz the Honey*Pot doin in skool? What klass is she takin, anyway? Izit a furst or sekund grade, or wun of the fancy *advanced klassez* that the "better students" get to go to? Dad jest found out tanite that our klub skool has all sortza special groups like the Nurcin Home Cheerup Gang, Serch & sniff dawgs, gilitee an beedeence groups. And we could be members cause Dad's had at least 3 dawgs go ta skool there. Me an Smoke are gunna save our lowancez to raise the 60 bucks to belong each year. But then ya still need more munnies to go ta klassez, but they're half off for members. Mebbee me an the Smokester could gedda job and make sum munnie for skool.
Sure are a lotta new FurKids round this place... Andy & Trevor, the KatBoyz, got their pup Bella; an *Star* & Cody got two newbies ~ the KatKid *Olive-Pit* anna liddel KatToy piggie named *Squeek*. Mebbee we otta get a Fuzzy Pig for our Kat ta have for a toy. Wunder if Boots wud think that wuz kool? Need to hear sum more Tails frum youse guys!
Hey Daisey ~ You know any way to fool that durn up and down elevator table at the White Coat's place that's got that *meter* that the Doc looks at an then tells yer Two-Leggers to lay offen the food? Dad keeps lookin funnie at me an squeezin round where my rib-bones used to make liddel bumps in my koat. He keeps sezin he cant see the rib bumps ennie more. I keep tellin him to look at Smokey the Kid ~ ya could kount ever wunna his ribs and the bumps on his backbone when he got here. Dad hadda give him annuder klik onna kollar and now ya kant see ennie bumps on his short koat ~ so whutz wiff this pickin on Me? I got a big, fluffie Shepherd's koat - course ya kant see my rib-bones! But I did notice that SmokeMan duznt get twice as much krunch as me annymore - guess Dad figgures the Smoke has bulked up to proper weight. Now if he'd jest leave my krunch kount alone!
Keep *waggin* and *purrin* http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Hey Cinder and Smokey...and of course Boots.
We're fine. Honey girl is in basic agility and I'll have to let her tell her side of the story when she is more alert. Right now, she is sleeping pretty hard on the floor at my feet. This past Monday was our second class. Honey girl just is not very enthusiastic about this new venture. But, she did master the A-frame and the Dog Walk. Good for Honey!!! I just have to keep remembering that this is to build her confidence, not make her a true competitor. She still doesn't like those tunnels and things like that? Any suggestions?
We'll fill you in more later when Lilly and Honey are more alert. But thanks for asking.

Whew! Good thing you guys are OK. Was getting kinda worried and thinkin about ya everyday! Thanks for the "fix" was goin thru Phred, Smoke, Cinder and Boots withdrawal. Now I feel better, esp; after a yummy lunch! Sigh! ya made my day!!! At least the Smoke boy lifts his leg. The Cody-meister sometimes pees like a girl and Karen gets SO embarassed. Not a lot of trees where we are, but bushes and poles and he so busy and nosey sniffin everywhere he must forget. Gotta yank to the next critter hole in the ground! We luv ya lots!! Karen and Cody http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Phew, wow, geeeeeez, Star**BuRsT***here writin for Cody, KlawKat, Olive#Pitster and the SqueekerCatToy. Boy, I was having doggie-mares with lotsa leg and gum twitchin, the sweats and was 'bout to keel over, faint, pass out and JUST DIE from Cinder and Smoke withdrawl http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif Don't mean to ply the pressure to yuz, but kinda got hooked on the adventures of all the inmates there at Phred's ranch for all livin things lost and homeless needin a home to take over and turn upside down and give Dad a headrupture. Just glad to hook up wit yuz again. Sounds like things really hoppin out at the ranch. SmokeSkool, FlameSkool, trakter smokin and flamin~~~~ no wunder yuz guys ain't had much time fer writtin and such. Glad ta hear that the kid's doin good in Skool. But come on, Cind. A one hour quiet time inna portable jail wif outta yelp, bark or whine? Not my style, fer sure! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif I'd get the BOOT! faster than I can steal a meal! Wouldn't it be greeeeat if yuz all gots to be special bassadors a good will for hoomins needin a little lovin and snugglin? Bet both you guys be reeeel good at gility too. Save yer pennies. Reminds me...have you all put in yer request to Dad for an allowance raise? Don't forget...never take the pressure of them hoomins. If yuz let em slide just a bit, next thing ya know, they think they're in charge! And from one 4-legger ta another 4 legger, yuz knows what dat means. Not much news here. Maybe I already told ya, but me and the Codster are calender girls! WEll, sorta. Mom put our pics on the general doggie board. Would love to know what you guys think a me an my sister. The Olive**PItttt is making my life a living hell! Not but a week or two inna house and he thinks he rules. Every few hours we all gotta suffer thru the KrAzYKaT hour, wif the nutcase chasin nuttin but air, boxing the wall, slidin on his butt cross the room, stickin his head inna sink, chasin his tail and his favorite pastime, pickin winged critters off da wall and swallowin em while they're still buzzzin! One a these days the Codster's gonna give the Pit Boy a whack if he doesn't stop chewin her tail an "nailin" her in da snout. Even the Squeek man gotta lotta unrequested "closet time" as the pimento pit's always sneakin in his room an stickin his KLAW inna cage lookin fer a little tasty snack. Poor Squeeks; he loves the kat kid, specially his purrrrin and only wants to friends. Mom says there's not enough room, or room(s) in this house to kommodate everyone's needs. Whadda ya think that means, Cind!? Oh, this mornin I gave Olive*Pit* the good chase right inna the dryerdrummy thing and mom almost put him onna permanent press cycle. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif Oh well, there goes one a his 9 lives http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif It's been pourin klaws and paws all day ta day. Mom and the weather box callin it a nor' eater!???? Wish we could all go play in a mud, but mom says we gotta be good kids and stay in a house and play nice and quiet. (Tee-hee) Now Smokey; liftin the leg is a MAJOR NO NO!!! You NAWTEEDAWG!! I tremble wif fear ata thought a you nailed to the time out wall. One a these days Dad's gonna forget he nailed ya there if yer not good!
Honey-Glad ta hear from you girl. Do't sweat it. Just have fun at gililty. No pressue. I NEVER let anything pressure me. Just make the world your own, and be in charge of your world. That's my motto. Just look at that xpression on my face in my pic. FEARLESS! (Some call it arrogant) "Hey, you talkin to ME, BIG BOY??" Yep, that's my thinkin. Never let em know what YER thinkin. Hold yer head up high and ifin any them other doggies give ya a hard time, just flip em the paw! You are ONE GORGEOUS GIRL an nuthin should keep you from struttin yer stuff. Anyway, yer just there to have some fun. I only go thru the tunnel if I wants to. Hey, it's my dime (or at least my mom's) and if I don't wanna go, tough nuts!
