I saw this on the Project and I just had to share it. The caption says this is at a place in Australia called Little Bay. The photographer wrote the title and it made me laugh right out loud!

Too cute!
There are a lot of cat pictures on the 365 Project, but this one touched my heart.

So I signed up for the 365 Project to follow the many photographers on PT. Then i posted a few old photos. Then I took a couple new ones and posted those. Now I'm hooked! Not that I am such a good photographer, because I'm not, by any means. But it makes me look at things around me in different ways, just thinking about how it would look in a photograph. I was so mad yesterday, it was a beautiful day, I saw a couple potential shots and where is my camera? Inside, by the computer, where I uploaded some other pictures over the weekend. I was so mad at myself!
I haven't been posting much on PT lately, though I am still reading the threads, but in case some of you are interested (and remember me :D) I wanted to let you know that I joined the 365 project about 3 weeks ago (http://365project.org/scatcat/365). I am also looking at your pictures sometimes, even if I don't always take the time to reply.
I just finished filling in all the days I missed whilst I was away in China. I am finding it a lot of fun even though my own pictures are pretty mediocre!
I found a picture by Sonia59 on the Popular Page! Look for the black and white picture of the beautiful tabby cat looking upward.

I'm still posting every day. It's been really fun:D
Cassiesmom and Kirsten, thank you very much! :) Yes, it is my dear Peppito. The picture is this one:

I, too, love the picture of the two kitties!
Lol, thanks for the fav :) Actually when I joined I started following people when I liked their pictures and I also did not know...I found out afterwards on PT. Well, except for Kirsten, as I recognized her profile pic :) But it's nice you did not know, it means you did not look at the picture because I was on PT ;)
oh my what a lovely pic!!
Iīve slacked for a loooooong looooooong time... over a month now.. I do have most of the pics... some are a series of pics to fill a week quota for when I went behind.. just that my comp hasnīt been too cooperative in the uploading department.. I hope to get at least a few up.. a WHOLE MONTH!!.. ouch!!..
a few are way bad quality as they were taken with my phone but some were just too cute and my camera wasnīt handy at the time.. will upload a few of those too..
Russian Blue made the top twenty this week :)

Oh, Kirsten, thank you very much! You can't imagine how much I appreciate what you said! :) It's true that looking at others pictures and styles is giving me a lot of ideas. I learn to have a different look on things. I always used to be very technical (after all, my love for photography started with me learning in books how a camera is made, how the image is formed, how to use aperture, speed, etc.) but I sometimes lack artistic sense for creativity. I'm a scientist, it may explain I guess...;) So, this projects helps me thinking differently, daring to try non conventional pictures!
What I like very much in your work is that you are able to make beautiful the simplest and non beautiful things, such as the tube in the 21st April pic. And with just enough editing to make it more beautiful while keeping it real.
I know what you mean, it's too often that we forget to find the "essence" of a picture 'cause we're only thinking about the technical stuff. Happens to me also, but 365 kind of brings you "back to the roots". There are many pictures on PP which are not technically perfect, but they are great because they capture a special moment, or an amazing atmosphere..
As for my own pictures: I always tried to find beauty in ordinary things, even in those people consider to be ugly... But my pictures never seem to be "alive", this is what I usually don't like about them.
Dear PT/365ers...
Please meet Theodore, aka Teddy.
http://media.365project.org/1/1412817_efgnov1359_m.jpg
His person is Arline Grant, @nonni. She lost the last of three elderly cats about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Teddy's Gotcha Day is April 14, so he has just joined her family. She has shared a lot of photos of him and I think he's absolutely beautiful.
He had his first visit to the veterinarian yesterday. Here he is on the doctor's desk.

I would like to invite her to nominate Teddy for Cat of the Day; do you think that would be okay?
Thank you,
Elyse
Then there's Toffee, who is the bunny of @lilvicky. Same line of thinking here. Be sure and look over her project because she has 3 or 4 bunnies :)

Hmmm, we're halfway through it now, but it seems to me that not too many of us are still uploading pics... Sonia, Anna, Kass, and I, looks like we're the only ones left.
Anyway, I'm at 50% now, and I even uploaded a selfie today: :)

I was on the Project on Saturday and saw that Shadow Dancer had two photos on the Popular Page! Congratulations, Kirsten!
So apparently if you don't go on here for a while they delete your account :/
Thank you for mentioning it here! :) Yes, the one of the mourning statue, and the bokeh accident... ;)
Wow, really? Well, many of the PT people who started in January are no longer posting there; the only ones I still see posting are Sonia, Kass, and Anna...Quote:

I think I'm going to try and do it again next year, I haven't taken pictures in forever and I need some motivation to get creative again.
I opened a new account since my old one was purged!

I totally fell off the wagon! BIG time. I think I might give it ONE MORE shot for 2012. And I need to stick with it.
I've just signed up - slickvic50. Uploaded just one pic of Merlin so far.
I'm almost finished my project as well - can't believe I stuck with it! Have followed you guys back on my project. ;)
Can't believe I uploaded my last picture today... Time really flies, wow!
I cannot decide to leave, I think I'll do another year... ;)
Okay, made my decision, I'll do another year... :o Talk about addiction! lol ;)
Already started! Posted my second picture of 2012 today. My friend and I are challenging each other on FB with our 365 project so why not on the website, too? :)
Post them here, too, Kirsten, and I'll try to do a poem for each! That'd challenge us both! You, too, Rachel!
For Day one:
Memories of rare childhood visits
Being in a diner was a rare thing
Reserved for road tips to nowhere
Getting to spin on a round stool
Legs flying (tuck 'em in as we pass the counter)
Just a few twirls, checkerboard floor blurring
Until someone stopped us
But still
We could see they were trying to hide smiles
Remembering their own trips
Round and round and giggling with glee
And even the blue-haired lady
In that booth over there
Gave us a smile
When she thought the folks weren't looking
Remembering her own days
As a fetching young gal
Ribbon in her hair,
Perched atop that red stool
Hoping to catch her sweetheart's eye.
I absolutely love this!
Okay, Karen... :) Here are the three pics I've posted so far this year. I think the first one works only with the text I've written:

A New Year...
...is like a blank sheet of paper that is lying before us on our desk today. White and empty, waiting to be filled with stories and pictures. Now it's up to you. Maybe you already did your first sketches today, maybe you have no idea how to start... But no matter if you already know how to fill your paper, or if you have no clue at all, no one of us can say for sure how it will be looking like at the end. Will the bright colors dominate? Will it look dull and grey? Will there be many corrections and ink spots? Or will there be nothing at all? Will life let us write our story the way we planned, or will there be someone who's scratching out the things we came up with only to dictate us what to write instead? Will there be others who support us while we progress, or do we have to walk alone? Will we learn more about ourselves and our skills while we work? So many questions, and all we can do is taking a pencil and accepting the challenge - and as we go, we may find our direction and see where this is leading us...
May your paper sheet be filled with stories of love and joy in the end, and with cheerful pictures of happiness and light!
