So I signed up for the 365 Project to follow the many photographers on PT. Then i posted a few old photos. Then I took a couple new ones and posted those. Now I'm hooked! Not that I am such a good photographer, because I'm not, by any means. But it makes me look at things around me in different ways, just thinking about how it would look in a photograph. I was so mad yesterday, it was a beautiful day, I saw a couple potential shots and where is my camera? Inside, by the computer, where I uploaded some other pictures over the weekend. I was so mad at myself!
Hehe, Elyse, I do this all the time. I see something and I'm like ooh, wish I had my camera! I would carry mine with me 24/7 if it wasn't so huge!Quote:

Oh, Kirsten, thank you very much! You can't imagine how much I appreciate what you said! :) It's true that looking at others pictures and styles is giving me a lot of ideas. I learn to have a different look on things. I always used to be very technical (after all, my love for photography started with me learning in books how a camera is made, how the image is formed, how to use aperture, speed, etc.) but I sometimes lack artistic sense for creativity. His person is Arline Grant, @nonni. She lost the last of three elderly cats about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Teddy's Gotcha Day is April 14, so he has just joined her family. She has shared a lot of photos of him and I think he's absolutely beautiful.
He had his first visit to the veterinarian yesterday. Here he is on the doctor's desk.

Until someone stopped us
But still
We could see they were trying to hide smiles
Remembering their own trips
Round and round and giggling with glee
And even the blue-haired lady
In that booth over there
Gave us a smile
When she thought the folks weren't looking
Remembering her own days

A New Year...
...is like a blank sheet of paper that is lying before us on our desk today. White and empty, waiting to be filled with stories and pictures. Now it's up to you. Maybe you already did your first sketches today, maybe you have no idea how to start... But no matter if you already know how to fill your paper, or if you have no clue at all, no one of us can say for sure how it will be looking like at the end. Will the bright colors dominate? Will it look dull and grey? Will there be many corrections and ink spots? Or will there be nothing at all? Will life let us write our story the way we planned, or will there be someone who's scratching out the things we came up with only to dictate us what to write instead? Will there be others who support us while we progress, or do we have to walk alone? Will we learn more about ourselves and our skills while we work? So many questions, and all we can do is taking a pencil and accepting the challenge - and as we go, we may find our direction and see where this is leading us...
May your paper sheet be filled with stories of love and joy in the end, and with cheerful pictures of happiness and light!
