Ours went from $3.99 to $4.09 Saturday!
costco is now 4.35 a gallon:eek:
I paid $3.879 yesterday. A real bargain!
WHERE did you find it that cheap!?!
I payed $4.29
There is more talk of it going up again here in NZ, at $2.09 a litre it is expensive enough
In my last post I said that there were two stations with prices over $4.00. I drove by them today and one was at $3.99 and one was at $3.97!
Yesterday it was $4.39 a gallon - I haven't been out today to see what the new and improved price will be:rolleyes::eek:
We paid $4.63/gal at one stop on our rv trip (natch!)
Up to $4.47 here in San Francisco :(
My mom said she went by a station today that had advertised gas (regular) at $3.93 but when she pulled in there were small signs taped to all the pumps. Apparently they were out of regular and mid grade gas so they were selling the PREMIUM at the regular price - $3.93!!!!!!!:eek: A bargain even for regular, but for Premium it was a steal!
Dang, why don't I ever run across deals like that??:(
Paid $3.89 at lunchtime today. Down the street it was being sold for $3.99 and even further down the street it was being sold for $4.05. Someplace outside of Manchester (the big city) it's being sold for $4.15. But nobody is stopping there because it can be found cheaper down the road.
Since I had a coupon from Stop & Shop for 10 cents off per gallon, I got a total of 6.6 gallons for a WHOPPING $25.50. This is ridiculous!!!
I would still rather have your prices than our's we just had another increase now at a whopping $2.12 a litre, i am told there is four litres to a gallon, so by my calculations we are paying around 8.48 a gallon,
$4.38 just up the street >.>
Ugh tell me about it.... I put $25 every other day in my truck and it only gives me MAYBE two round-trips to school....... so two days of gas for me = ~$25
(mind you, $25 is a little less than 1/2 a tank for me. IDK why I never fill up completely.....)
Oh and also, most gas stations now are pre-authorizing credit and debit cards used for pay at the pump for $75 OR MORE!!!!!!! And you get charged for your purchase on top of that.... eventhough the $75 is never "charged" to your account (it's just used to see if you have an available balance before the actual transaction), it will sit pending in your account for about a WEEK!!!!! So if you have to fill up every few days like me, you can have like $225 that you can't access from your account because its "pending" ON TOP OF what you actually bought.....:mad::mad:
I really should start paying with cash, but I really don't feel comfortable with carrying around that much cash with me for how often I'm needing to fill up...
Gas prices here are $3.99 at most gas pumps. I've seen it as high as $4.10 around the highway though. Looking through this thread though has made me thankful for the "low" price I'm paying for gas. (wow, I never thought I would be happy to "only" be paying $3.99 a gallon for gas)

When you buy a car in CT, not only do you pay sales tax, licensing and title fees, but a car in CT is considered a "luxury", so we are also sent a tax bill every year based on how much THEY think your car is worth. That on top of the 7% gas tax, soon to be 7.5% is just too much.
Our wonderful (not) Governor has decided to hold off raising the gas tax for the summer. Believe me, it doesn't put a DENT in helping the CT residents out.
So, that's why I'm stuck home in my little apartment on my computer watching tv, reading. My car, after putting $25 worth of gas in it, is sitting in the parking lot going nowhere, doing nothing.
Something's gotta give. People can't take much more. I've been reading stories about fights at the gas pumps, cutting in lines, etc. It's getting ugly.
I hear you, sister, but it's not likely to get "better" any time soon. It's going to take some real grass roots effort to get the government to move forward with tapping into the oil & shale resources that are right here on US territory. There needs to be some sanity and balance in all this, with die-hard environmentalists coming to terms with reality for the rest of us. I'd say most of us are getting tired of being held hostage by foreign oil because we're held hostage here by over regulation preventing development of available resources.
And what ever happened to the development of alternate fuels that was going to save us back in the 70's? In case no one noticed, those promises were made over 35 years ago!!!!
(climbs off soap box ;))
6/14/08 - $4.69 a gallon
I'm not sure of the price exactly today, but Bruce filled my tank and said it was $60! I have a VW Jetta. It used to take less than $20 to fill the tank. CRAZY!!!
$3.95 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.....Shell seems to be the highest...they are well over $4.00.
I saw gas today in the town next to mine for 3.79. I wasn't driving or I definitely would have filled up.
Here in NZ at our local supermarket they sell petrol, from time to time if you purchase over 15 dollars of produce you get 15c a litre off your petrol ,it sure helps out a lot, and we always spend that much, usually they only give you like 4cent or 6cents off a litre,so it is a good promotion at the moment, we are really hurting down under, and as you all say it is only going to get worse, funny thing is our groceries last week were the cheapest we have had in a long time, i guess we did not need that much, this week they were expensive again,it seems it is never going to end does it? :(
$4.57 for self-serve unleaded in San Francisco :(
$3.83 here.
It has finally hit $4.00 less than 15 miles away from our town, so I am sure ours will rise sooner than we would like. Mum finally broke down and bought a car. It gets an average of 27-30 MPG, so it is a big improvement from what her 2004 GMC Enjoy XUV gets. :]
The lowest in Columbia, SC is now $3.739 a gallon. Average is $3.899.
I went to Los Angeles last weekend, out in the middle of nowhere on the way I paid $4.95!
unless it went up AGAIN, its about $1.39 a liter here. our small car cost $70 to fill last week. my dad said his work van costs him about $150 a tank
$4.14 for regular as of yesterday.
I'm seriously looking into buying a scooter.
wow you guys have it good, that is still cheap, cali, we are paying 2.12 a litre and it is still going up.
6/18/08 - California - $4.75 per gallon - it was $4.69 four days ago.
$4.79 for regular at the cheap gas station. I  my motorcycle and it's 55 mpg!
Today I got gas at $3.97 at my favorite station. One station was up to $4.01, but has dropped back down to $3.99!
Gas went down here too! From $3.99 to $3.97! Watch me save those pennies!
BTW I got my BP credit card in the mail today. I'll be saving 10% on my gas purchases for the next 60 days.
Got it for $3.80 on Wednesday...now it's $4.09.
I saw gas in the next town west of me for $3.83 at several stations today. I paid $3.85 because I got it at BP with my new BP card to save 10%. The cheapest in my town is still $3.99.
