You're right, it can be difficult to get good pictures of solid coloured cats. Mine sometimes come out like blobs too.

It's very difficult to get a good picture of Jessica, because as soon as she sees a camera, she glares .
This was one of the first we ever got of her and she is not looking too malevolent.
