We should be getting Jake's ashes back soon. Last night we were all out at the farm and we think that we want to bury his ashes out there, and make a headstone for him or have one made.

It's odd how good I feel about the cremation - I think I'm happier with that than I would have been burying him without cremating him first.

OMG I had no idea this happened until I read about it in your other thread...I had to read it again! I am soooo sorry!!:( Was it sudden? How terribly awful :(

I am so sorry for your loss. Because I don't get through the entirety of Pet Talk I often miss significant postings. Maybe it is also because I don't want to deal with the sad news that one can see in Dog Memorial. I understand how very difficult this time can be.

My heart goes out to you in your loss. It is so very difficult.

But when you love an animal so deeply and they love you back.....they are just always with you - Jake just happens to be with you at the Rainbow Bridge though.
