We're trying to help her, KayAnn, with suggestions about how she can deal with Cheeko. Maybe it won't work for her, maybe she won't try hard enough, but we're trying to help. I hope that this thread will continue in the spirit it was intended. It just doesn't help to beat up on her at this point, other than just to drive her away completely. She may find that rehoming him is the absolute best thing to do. I wish I were closer, and I'd take him in a heartbeat, as I know Popcornbird would too.

Even if you lived next door to me, I would never let you have Cheeko, he's my bird. I would never give him to you or popcornbird, I dont care how much better of a owner you think you'd be for him. He is my bird.:mad: I am not an evil person to my pets, I love them with my heart and soul, it is just hard to understand them sometimes.

I think you totally misunderstood me. I am defending you, here. Of course he is your bird, and I hope he will remain that way. I don't want him, I want you to be able to live with him, calmly and happily. I wrote a book to you yesterday about my experiences with my Cockatiels, especially one that I have that is very nervous, as it sounds like Cheeko is. If you aren't interested in the suggestions that Popcornbird and I have, let us know and we'll shut up on the whole thing. We've been trying to stick to the subject and offer you alternatives. That's all I was trying to say.

Amy is a great person. She among others, myself included, are simply weary of Tikeya's mom's"collective" tendencies. She wants every kind of pet there is, I bet if they made mini elephants she would want that too.
I am not doubting she IS trying with Cheeko
BUT she has alot of help and she automatically takes defense to it, likes she does with everything. Logan did not say she would barge in here and take Cheeko and neither did Pops.
I just hope she does get some help with him IF she is serious about helping Cheeko.
I know she has stated again and again and again that is isn't 'freakin' out when she works with him, but animals can sense when we freak out even if we don't make a big deal out of it.
That is why our animals can sense when we cry, are angry, or are depressed.
It is quite possible that Cheeko might be terrorized past the point of taming. ( and no I didn't say that she is terrorizing him before you go saying that I did) but the incident with the dog and other things probably all led up to it.

Geez, she is defending you. I tried reading the post in "your point of view" and I don't see a difference. The anger you might have to some people shouldn't be let out on the people who are trying to be nice.
