ok well if this picture works,it's supposed to be a dove, which represents peace.
Hey, I like that! I'm going to add it to my sig! :D
I don't (and probably couldn't) get any pictures of one of my favorite cheer up places - the pediatric clinic at the Navy hospital I work at. The man (Navy Captain) who runs it is dedicated to bringing cheer and healing to children with all kinds of problems, and the clinic is cheery and delightful - the kinder, gentler side of the military we don't often hear about these days.
The things they do there for those kids, the smiles I see on children with terminal disease, the strength of these children and their families - this cheers me. It is the beautiful side of the human spirit.
I consider myself a citizen of the planet, and I would love to be able to live on it in an age when we could all go anywhere we wanted, Pakistan, India, China, Japan, Malaysia, England, Ireland, and on, and on, with no political boundaries or cultural enmity. Wouldn't it be a beautiful planet if we could keep our diverse and beautiful cultural differences and celebrate them, rather than fight over them.
So I go to see the children - they are our hope. The best way to plan for a better future is to start with them, and NOT teach them to hate. That brings me cheer and joy in my heart .
