What a beautiful cat!
right now I do not have the equipment, or the knowledge, to post pictures, but when I do I can't wait to show them off..
:)
Yes, jenluckenbach, we want to see your gang o' cats someday soon!
Wow, everyone's kitties are so wonderful and beautiful. :) :) :) :) :)
Me, I have a sweetheart of a tabby/tortie, Saima (4 years old, female), and a feisty-yet-loving calico, Miko (3 years old, female). See their pics in my signature. Both kitties were adopted from the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society. I love 'em so much it hurts! :p :) ;)
Hi everyone, I'm new. I just got a new kitten for my birthday, and when my husband first handed him to me, I thought he was just a normal orange tabby DSH. But then I got a good look at him and it turns out he's not striped like a tabby, he's spotted. I don't know if maybe he's some strange mix or something, but he's really cute! I've never seen a spotted cat besides an ocicat (and a bengal I think?) I wish I had a picture of him, but I'm at work (don't tell my boss! :D ) and I don't have it here. Has anyone seen an orange spotted cat before?
Shannon
Congrats on getting a Bengal cat. Here is a picture of my youngest Bengal cat who turned 6 Saturday.

So you think he's part bengal then? I'll try to post that picture when I get home tonight. I'm really curious what he could be!
Shannon
Edit: I just went and looked at some pictures from Bengal catteries, and he sure does look like those kittens ! Only real major difference I've seen is the fact that he's orange, not brown/grey/silver/black. That's cool! :D
Ok, my dad just emailed me the pic I sent him, so I can post it now. So here he is, meet Marvin! (I hope this works...)

I think your cat could have some Bengal or Ocicat in him because they are both spotted. Baxter is 3/4 Bengal anf 1/4 Manx. His mother was 1/2 Bengal & 1/2 Manx. His father is all Bengal which is full blooded uncles Yuri and Tigger live with him.

Here are pictures of his uncle's.
Here is a picture of tigger and baxter.

Can I just say thank you for being so polite?
Yesterday I joined a group about bengals, I figured I'd post a picture and see what they thought. The first person to respond to my post said fat chance of finding a bengal in a pet store. The second repremanded me for getting a pet store cat rather than going to the shelter or a breeder (because, you know, I had a say in where my birthday gift was purchased from...) Real sweet. So I left the group. I wasn't even there a full day.
So thanks again for answering my question so nicely!

Those people sounded rude. You get a cat where you get a cat. And it's nobodies business. I didn't know what a Bengal was until I was cat sitter for a friend. Try CAT FANCY magizine. In the back there are listing of breeders. That is a good place to start.:)

hehehe, oh no, no more cats for me right now! I got my luvbugs, a big fat tuxedo cat Zeus and my little spottie Marvin, and my roommates got a little black kitten a couple days after we got Marvin. We have more than I ever expected to have...I can't believe at this time last year I was thinking of getting a puppy!
Now if I could get Zeus to stay for two seconds when Marvin gets close, so I could get a picture of both of them! :D

Cool! A zoo. At my sister's and I house we have 3Bengal cat, 1 treefrog,3 leopard Geckos,2 corn snakes,1 hermit crab &2 Betta fish. A ZOO.
Sandy Frost:D
Oh, that's not all, that's just my cats. We also have a ferret :)
Shannon
Cool a ferrret. What I meant is there are alot of breeders listed in the back of CAT FANCY magazine and they would be able to answer your question. Check out this book GETTING TO KNOW THE BENGAL CAT BY GENE JOHNSON
