Doesn't look like a tic to me either. I had to take one off Jack last year, really freaked me out. It had latched on behind his ear. I'm really careful about applying their tick & flea meds on time since then. (Unfortunately RI is infested with Lyme-bearing ticks)
Kissies & hugs to Keva, I hope she's okay. Paws crossed she'll be fine.

Could it be some type of skin tag?
Hope she's okay! Ivy also gave me a scare with her cyst! I hope Keva has nothing more than regular adolescent skin problems :)

Doesn't look like a tick to me. There can be so many things it is that are easy to fix up Amy, try not to worry too much. Tomorrow you'll know for sure, waiting is hard, I know.:(

My cockapoos have always been prone to warty growths and they each have their own little ugly structures, not exactly like the other ones. This could be one of those, but of course only a vet would know for sure. Frankly I'm more concerned about the *not eating* aspect. I hope you are able to get some answers at her appointment with the vet. Worry can wear on a fur mom.

they might have said tick because of the color... and looking real fast it could be mistaken by one.. (size/color wise)...
but thatīs NOT a tick.... really hoping it was...:(
good luck at the vets and crossing paws is nothing too serious... get well Keva... and EAT!!!

Hey Amy,
Hope the visit to the vet goes well today.
Thinking of you

I hope everything goes well at the vet today.
From the pictures it doesn't look like a tick to me, it looks more like a cyst. Any ticks I've seen on dogs at work you can see the legs and I don't see any in your pictures. I hope it's just a harmless cyst and not anything to worry about.
Keep us posted.

Well the growth is some sort cyst...I can't remember what he called it...he said it wasn't anything to worry about. He said it didn't need to be removed, its kind of bad where it is though because when I put a harness on her it rubs on it and makes it bleed.
He was concerned about the not wanting to eat. Once again the exam couldn't find anything wrong, no temp, etc. So we did a full blood panel, I'll get the results either tomorrow evening or Wednesday morning. So wish us luck that we'll get good blood test results.
-
I'm glad that the growth is just a cyst. Too bad it couldn't be removed if it's going to bleed from her harness all of the time.:( I hope that her blood work comes back fine and that she starts eating well again. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent her way.

Glad to hear that the cyst is nothing to worry about. Maybe Keva is worried that you are spending too much money on dog food with three dogs to feed now. It's okay Keva, Mom will always find a way to take care of you and your fursibs. Just get well, sweetie.

Good to hear it's just a cyst. Hopefully there's nothing wrong with Keva. It's the strangest thing, my girls were very picky about eating, but once I got Jake, they haven't missed a meal. Could it still be new puppy related? It doesn't have to mean Keva isn't happy with Skya, but still maybe a bit stressed. Just wondering if it's a possibility.

I am glad to hear it's just a cyst and nothing more. I hope the blood work comes back normal. :) The both of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

How's Keva doing? Any new come back from the blood panel yet? I'm glad to hear that her bump is a cyst, but that is a bad location rubbing on her harness.
She's definitely in my thoughts.

No results, I called them wednesday afternoon wondering why I hadn't heard from them yet...they said the results weren't in yet. Then the actual vet calls me back and said they lost the blood sample. I was going to have to bring Keva back in for them to draw blood again. Then they called back again later that evening and said they "think" they found it. I guess it was sent to the Las Vegas lab instead of the California lab...I just hope its actually the right blood sample. She's still not eating that great, she won't touch her breakfast but she eats most of it in the evening.
