I have 5 Tattoos, But need help taking pics of them. But, My first one is a Pegasus on my left ankle. Then I got My name is Chinese on the back on my neck, then I got my Virgo symbol on my left.. Breast... And the last two I got the same day. I got Paw prints on my Right breast.. And A heart with wings on my right ankle. They ALL have a reason. My Pegasus is because i am from KY, and went to the Derby a lot.. and it is a Symbol they used a lot. My name on my neck.. well.. obvious. My Virgo sign, another obvious. My Paw prints represent the time Tyson Joined me.. he just walked into my heart, and into my life, and left his imprent there on me.. I will always love him and remember him for it. I May take one of your ideas to put his name under it though :-) My Heart with wings is .. I had my heart taken from me.. and I was able to get it back.. it was like it flyed back to me one day.
I Will try to remember to get pics up sometime :-)
I know where you're coming from. I don't mind people who have tattoos, but I would never want to have doodles all over myself. :p If I wanted to wear something really classy, or a dress for a/my wedding, I just think a stonking great tattoo would spoil the effect. I've also never seen anyone in a top profession with too many tattoos and piercings. And sometimes a lot of people I see with tattoos on limbs especially seem to have really inflamed looking skin around it, even after they've had it for a couple of months. Still, I don't mind people having their choices in life. :)Quote:

I'm going to live vicariously through my sister instead -- she goes for 'appointments' every 2 weeks (read: more tattooing). Shes been getting tattoos since she was 16 -- the pictures i've included are all the visible ones at least. I've been joking with her, that I'm going to start investing in stocks in tattoo removal companies just because of her ;)
Heres some pictures from a wedding she went to a couple weekends ago and her BF.

Wow your sister has some amazing tattoo's,
I love the tree/branches affect on her left arm and the ravens on her chest.
I REALLY want a small raven tattoo but I'm scared of the pain lol.
Just woundering anyone know how much a tattoo hurts and whats the feeling?
:o
Great tattoos everyone, keep them coming!!Quote:

I think it feels like taking a sharp pointy needle and scratching it over and over and over again in the same spot (and after it is all over, it kinda feels like sun burn...just tender skin, but that doesn't last long..a day or so)...but in the end, the artwork is so beautiful, that is was worth the pain, IMO. :)

I don't have one right now but I def. want to get a few..
One will be with my twin. We want to get a twin symbol and maybe each other's name on us.
I found these symbols today
http://www.whats-your-sign.com/images/twinchinese.jpg
This is the Chinese writing symbol, or Kanji symbol meaning twins.
http://www.whats-your-sign.com/images/twingemini.jpg
The duality of nature is a concomitant of the twin (Gemini) sign. This sign represents duality in thought, causing contradictions. However, the symbol is also indicative to adaptability. Those with this sign have a knack for "twinning" their personalities to fit in.
It's very difficult to decide which one if my sis likes one of these because we are identical but we don't look alike so either one would be fine.

Genogram Fraternal Twins:A genogram serves as a useful and illustrative guide to certain characteristics within a family tree, or family chart. This symbol indicates a fraternal twin within the family tree.

Genogram Identical Twins:As mentioned, a genogram is used when representing a trait within a family tree. This is the symbol indicating identical twins within the family chart.
Then I would LOVE to have the Origin Of Love symbol.

The other one I want is Maggie's portrait with her name under it.
She gets all her tattooing done somewhere downtown Toronto, and has been going to the same guy for a long time.Quote:

Mine on my ankle was not too painful. It was more annoying. I just wanted to scratch it while he was doing it. It was slightly painful closer to the ankle bone and then the flabby area behind (toward heel) the ankle bone.
;) I thought mine was already posted on this Thread.. I guess it was another Thread.. Oh well here is my 3 tats..
This is my Tiger Rose on my lower left leg

Although I find some of them pretty or attractive, I personally do not want one or any. I have nothing against them for other folks. I cannot muster up the nerve to put myself through the pain and discomfort and risk. Yes, there is risk. Not all tatoo places are sanitary. Not all restaurants are sanitary either..... but just don't want to risk it.
It surely is a personal choice. Go for it if you'd like. :D
