Gosh, David, you are bringing back memories! My sister's first car was a green Ford wagon! It was my dad's old company car and he bought it for $1000 and gave it to her. She ended up with the Chevrolet, though, when he bought a new car for my mom. My dad was a toughie and gave both us $1000 towards a car when we were seniors in college. She took the $1000 car. I took the $1000 gift and paid him back the rest, after I graduated, for a 1975 Dodge Omni that he bought for me when I was working an internship after my junior year in college.Quote:

Thank goodness that thing stays parked most of the time these days. We'd sell it if we could, but there is no market for a 2002 gas guzzler like it is, right now. My husband paid $500 for a Ford Ranger pickup truck last year and he drives it all of the time these days. He loves it! :)
