This has been a sad, sad day. I am so hoping that when Jackie is able to post that we will have some positive news...that the Vets will be able to offer hope that Perry will pull through and be able to recover. I have printed out Dixie's prayer and am using it as my own.
God bless our dear little buddies Daisy and Perry.
Oh, God, that is so heartbreaking and sickening! I live here in North Park, and 'tho I'm somewhat of a novice, I intend to get this word out to a lot of us animal lovers here in SD.
Yes, folks, we have some pretty screwed up laws down here - the "fine$t city" - ? I am amazed about the return of the dogs - something doesn't seem right about that!
To be continued - Our love, prayers and positive enrgy go to you from nearby -
Every minute you are in my thoughts dear Jackie and Don. Candy's prayer is so beautiful. I am carrying it around with me and praying out loud all day long that Perry and Daisy will recover. We are hoping and waiting for some hopeful news, Jackie. Yes, God, please bless our precious Daisy and Perry.
AMEN to that Sandra.Quote:

We went to visit Perry and Daisy this morning, Daisy is doing good now, she has some puncture marks, and her shoulder as the vet said is like someone twisted it, but she can stand up and not put much pressure on her leg and shoulder. She has some open wounds but doing much better I think. She wagged her little tail when she saw us and licked my finger. I gave her many, many kisses. They still don't know if they will have to operate. But is was a relief just to see her.
Perry is very ill, we don't know for sure if he will make it. He has one lung that is inflated and they are still taking liquid out of the other. His throat and neck is swollen quite bad and lots of puncture wounds. He has some holes in his lungs and the air is escaping, but they hope they will close themselves. The pitbull attcked his throat.
We think Perry was very brave and fought off the Pitbull to keep Daisy safe, and she got to escape into her doghouse and he took the brunt of the attack. It was a little encouraging though because when we saw him he lifted his head and tried to stand up. We brought them both their favorite night night pigs to sleep with. They put them both together on the table so we could visit them together.
I think your prayers are maybe working miracles and I just hope you keep them coming we need them right now. We are going back this afternoon to visit them again, the Vet said Perry was very depressed and I think it helps them a lot. Just keep your pets safe and give them all hugs and kisses for us, they are all so precious.

Jackie thank you so much for posting this. I have checked my computer several times today to see if there was any news. I am encouraged about Daisy and will continue to keep both of your pups in my prayers. I know that seeing you probably helped lift both of their spirits and hopefully gave them, and especially Perry, the will to fight. {{Hugs}} to you and Don. I wish I was there to give you each a big one in person.
Oh Jackie, I'm glad to hear Daisy is better. Our thoughts are with her and Perry, we hope so hard that they both will pull this thru. You all are in our thoughts, try to stay strong ok? I know it's easier said than done, but try. KEEP THE FAITH ALWAYS!

Jackie,
My prayers will remain with all of you as long as needed. What a brave boy Perry is to protect Daisy. Thanks for keeping us updated during this trying time.
Jackie, Thank You for the update! Ever since I heard about this yesterday, I have been so heartbroken. Prayers and love continue for your precious babies Daisy and Perry!

Like Dixie said the Bible says that whenever two come together in agreement in prayer that it shall be done.....
Father God thank you so much for my dear Pet Talk friends Jackie Don, Daisy and Perry. Lord you know their troubles and I know you love them and have the power to heal Perry and Daisy. I pray Father that you will move over their wounded bodies and heal them. Lord I know that through you all things are possible and if it is Your will it will be done. I pray Father that you will bring peace to Jackie and Don and you will cover them with your love. I pray that you will heal their hearts from this tragedy and protect them. I pray for the veterinarians Lord that you will bring them the wisdom and patience that they need to help these sweet doggies in the BEST way possible. Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers and loving us.
In Jesus' holy name I pray
AMEN
**We will continue to pray for you Jackie, Don, Perry and Daisy. Keep faith. We love you!**
Jackie,
Thank you so much for taking time to update us all on
Daisy & Perry's conditions. Some encouraging news about
Daisy. I'll bet your visits really do perk them up. Perry is
a real Hero in what he did to try to defend his home and
his sister Daisy. God Bless their little hearts.I will be praying
constantly until we hear that they both are out of danger
and on the mend. Please take care of yourself too and know
that You, Don ,your family and furkids are being prayed for
by a whole lot of caring people. Love, Liz & Buddy.
It is so cool of you to keep us all posted on Perry and Daisy's progress - many prayers are with your family to be whole again. I am so glad to hear how Daisy is doing, and pray that Perry will be healed, also. I hope you will post again later on and let us all know, as everyone else has said.
How wonderful to have this page where the universal love of animals, God's gift to us all, can be shared.

What a strong, brave boy our Perry is. He is hanging on for you and Don and Daisy, Jackie. He is not giving up, just like he didn't give up in the face of that vicious intruder.
Jackie, please try to get some rest tonight. You need to take care of yourself as best you can. I know that you can't just snap your fingers and make the hurt and pain go away, but if you can find a way to put it out of your mind for a short time, anything to distract yourself a little bit.
