To me, her character represents self discovery. She embodies feminitity, in that, she actually goes "Over The RAinbow" on her own!!!
I am so thankful that MGM spent a lot of time and money making that movie!!!! ;)
I actually was pronouncing everyone's name properly in my head! :D
Lut, I never thought of making sound like the U in due... so that would sound like loot?
Mine is pretty easy -- Kim. I don't know how to even break that down! :D
my name is pronounced "dee-on". i use to get very irritated at folk for pronouncing my name wrong, saying such things like "dee-own"
"dye-oh-nee."
and then theres my last name. Verba. when people dont have a hard time pronouncing it, they have a hard time spelling or understanding it. especially when i say it on the phone or to another person...they think i say "berva" or "verva" or even "berba" it is pronounced like its said. ver-bah. i dont understand how this is hard for people, but it is. it complicates things, and i get bills and mail, and even my college information on kinds of messed up because people dont hear it right.
i have long since even started to get angry or frustrated with people spelling or pronouncing it wrong. theres no point, because it happends so much, and will continually happen for as long as i have it. no sense getting my heart rate up or stressed about it. i just tell people to think of dionne warwick or celine dion, when they cant pronounce it. or that it rhymes with "neon" as for my last name, thats harder, theres nothing to rhyme it with. so i just say it slowly and hope people get it right.
it still amazes me to this day when people pronounce it RIGHT though.... :D
Jen-na
Jenna :p
Mine easy and simple. :D
