My Papa is back in the hospital. His at-home nurse was not happy with how he's been doing, so she suggested he goes back. :(
Not sure what all is going on. I fear he hasn't much longer with us. :(
Wonderful news! Papa is coming home tomorrow, after being in and out of the hospital so many times in the past month. :) Today I went to visit him and he looks really great, just very tired because he hasn't had so much energy to walk around from being in bed for so long. I'm just happy he will be able to be home and this time, it will be a lot more careful. His heart is not so strong, but he will be required to have oxygen to help him breathe until his heart gets a lot better. However he is in good spirits. :) Thank you.
Hopefully he is home for good, Rachel. I know how hard it is. Mine has been in and out of hospitals/mental wards/nursing homes since May of 07. :(
I have been keeping you and the family in my prayers. I hope so, too.. but you just never know what is going on. I found out that three doctors screwed up on this with my grandpa, Keep me updated. I hope he will be okay!!!Quote:

Can I ask for a few more prayers? Hubby SOUNDS better but says he doesn't feel it. I sound worse, feel worse, can hardly breathe and am doing everything the dr's tell me. Can hardly eat, barely drink. All I do is sleep, sleep, sleep. (All hubby does is play is stupid video games.)
So if you don't mind, please pray this is much better by Monday as I *HAVE* to return to work.
I returned to work today. Went to the Dr. again, too. They want me on FMLA the rest of this week, to heal. Hopefully this bronchitis will GO AWAY. I've got FMLA days, but no paid days. So this week will definately hurt on top of all the medical tests I've had done. :(Quote:

Please...stand up for yourself and get stern...VERY stern with your husband
to help you at ALL times.
This is like a test for when you guys get older and need each other for health help.
If he won't help now....he may not do it later either.Be stern.
And Stop the cleaning.Don't do a thing around the house.
Let it get built up until he realizes you cannot do everything anymore.
It just may work and you can get your much needed rest.Otherwise you'll just get sick again.
Prayers on the way.
I'm not going to lift a finger, unless it involves empty food and water bowls. My babies don't need to wait for him to remember them. I'll fill their bowls if he isn't here and remind him to do it if he is here.
Otherwise, sleep for me!
That's what i'd do. :)Quote:

must be a woman thing. ;)
Please keep our Logan in your prayers tonight and tomorrow as she will be going in tomorrow morning (3-27) for surgery to remove two damaged disks and a bone spur in her neck. She has been in considerable pain for some time now and other means of therapy have not solved anything. I know she will appreciate your prayers. Thank you from all of us who care deeply for her.
Logan, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. Keep us updated, Rachel.

Rachel thanks for letting us know about this. I'll surely be keeping her in my prayers tomorrow.
Logan, you have my prayers as well, that this surgery eases your pain and you can be painfree in the future.
Rachel, thank you for letting us know and keeping us posted.
My ex-husband had this exact same surgery about a year ago and he came through it w/no problems whatsoever and was home from the hospital the next day, so let that be encouragement to Logan and all who care about her. Lots of prayers going out to Logan and all those on PT who need healing.......
Lots of thoughts and prayers for Logan. Hope everything goes well and you are pain free soon!
Logan, many many prayers and good thoughts, and hopes that this will solve your pain problem once and for all.
{{{{{hugs}}}}}
Thanks, Rach, I was going to post this. I lost track of days (duh) so I left a late message on Logan's cell. I wanted to reassure her that I had similar surgery in 2005 and it went perfectly. I'm going to call Scott tomorrow.
Lots of love, hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery, dear, sweet friend.I love you.
There are many other people than me that need prayers and good wishes, but I'd like to post.
I just got out of the hospital, and my lungs aren't doing as well as they should be doing.
I just want to get better with my lungs and gain some weight. :)
-Ali
Prayers for all our PT friends and everyone who needs them :)
Ali - prayers that your lungs get stronger and that you can put on some weight. Hopefully you can get away with ice cream and other 'fattening' stuff that many of us can't! ;)
HUGS. Keep us posted, k? :)
I just got a call from Logan's husband. She is in recovery. The doctor told him that everything went well and there were *no surprises*. She still has a breathing tube in. Keep the prayers coming that there will be no complications and everything will continue to go well for the Mother of Many.
Ali, I'm sorry your progress has hits some bumps in the road. I pray that you will have a better day tomorrow and a better week ahead for a complete healing.
Prayers for Logan, pain is the worst I hope this relieves it for her. Ali prayers that you get better also.
Hi guys. I'm home! Got home around 10:30 this morning. From the surgeon's description of what she found, I definitely did the right thing. She said the disks were in horrible shape, with the lower one being almost completely gone. And the bone spurs were really mashing my nerves, thus the horrible pain. I'm going to hurt for a while just because of the surgery, but when I heal up, I'm going to be so much better. I'll probably have some discomfort for at least a few days, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I got a shower this afternoon and it felt so good! The incision is about 3 inches long and is at the base of my neck, in the front. The stitches are inside and the wound is glued together.
Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers. I felt very calm going in and I know it was because I had so many people praying for me. I'll "see" you soon.
Logan
What a good report! Good for you, Logan! I hope you're pain free in a jiffy!
I was honored and blessed to talk to Logan on Friday evening. Thank you, my dear friend. Get a good night's sleep and play the diva role! I can't wait for you to feel perfect again. Gentle hugs for a speedy recovery!
Bless your heart Logan - I hope you are feeling much much better in a few days.
Thank you for posting - we all have prayed and worried about you.
logan
so happy you got the surgery done.
i also have had back surgery.
when back surgery is needed, you just need to take that chance.
our backs are our whole being.
so happy you were brave and had it done.
it's remarkable what the surgeons can do nowadays.
prayers and positive thoughts your way :)
Logan thank you for taking the time to sit down and type this out. I imagine it wasn't easy this soon after your surgery. I wish you continued healing and pain-free good health from this day forward! Thank you to God for answering our prayers. :)
Glad your surgery went well Logan! *HUGS*
Many prayers for all those that need them.
Keeping all your requests in my prayers.... sending (((hugs)))
Please know that I send hugs and prayers to everyone here, although I don't always add a reply. As much as I hate to make a lot of my personal problems known, 'cause they never seem to end these days, I'm a bit overwhelmed and could use some support.
Since my mom died, I've become closer to her oldest sister who just turned 90 but acts 70! She had a stroke in Dec. and was in rehabs on and off. She recently needed psychiatric care as she was diagones with delusional psychosis. She's on meds that make her loopy . The stroke affected her speech and cognizant skills so she's unable to take direction or understand a lot. I have been seeing her at the nursing home every day, feeding her, doing her wash. She fell and broke her wrist and I just got a call that she fell out of bed, thankfully onto a rubber mat. Her hubby is 94 and spent last week in the hospital. Because of his age, he cannot have surgery (not life threatening) but now needs a cane. So I am running back and forth to both of them almost every day. They are each others Powerof Attorney, as they left out her son. Both may need to be in nursing homes permanently so their finances will have to be figured out. My uncle is asking me since I've had the misery of doing it 2x before.
I'm more frustrated than meaning to complain. It's just overwhelming. I also need MORE spine surgery which I'm postponing right now. There's a a chance, from what I've been told, than I may need a hip replacement, sooner than later! When it rains it pours! Please keep me in your thoughts that I can handle these situations properly. Thanks all!
*HUGS* That's just so much for you to bear Karen. Hope it all pans out as stress free as possible.

Goodness, that's an awful lot for one person to handle. Somehow you'll manage to get through it all, I promise you. We'll keep the prayers going for you and know that you will be able to cope w/it all quickly, easily and in peace. :)
Special thoughts and prayers are going out to you k9karen...sounds like your doing to much especially w/spine problems.please slow down so you don't end up hurting your spine more.you still have a long future and you don't want to be in pain for the rest of your life.
