I took my nieces and nephew to see Hannah Montana the Movie yesterday. I don't know how in the world families afford doing that. I enjoyed the movie and the afternoon, but for the 4 of us, I spent over $40 for matinee tickets, a large popcorn and drink that we shared, and then I took them to Taco Bell. It made me glad that I'm single without children.
Since I'm alone on Mothers' Day, (my son lives in CA and I in OH) I watched a movie called "The Nanny Diaries." It made me realize how truly fortunate I am to have raised my son and to have such a good one. Sadly, some people choose to allow others to raise their children and this movie drives that point home. It was cute but poignant.
I.O.U.S.A is a must see for everyone. If we do not change course our
nation is in big trouble.

The Movie I.O.U.S.A make a statement close to this.Quote:

Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There was never a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.
Werd! I have always been a Trekkie, though. A closet Trekkie. :3
I watched Because I Said So last night. Me and my friend had some wine coolers (woo!) and watched it, and it was shockingly entertaining! Horrible Mandy Moore acting and all. Omg, the orgasm conversation was hilarious.
I saw Disney's "Earth" during Earth Day week (I can't even remember when that was) because I wanted a tree planted in the rain forest on my behalf. I LOVED the movie, and can't wait for their other nature movies to come out. The bloopers at the end were funny too.

It is a must see documentary. Everyone needs to demand a change because our Republic is in grave danger. Not from outsiders but from within.Quote:
is it a documentary or movie?
Earth was amazing. They are going to kill me, making me wait a year between releases. ;) Beautifully done, incredible on the big screen.
Farce of the Penquins, allways makes me laugh. I think Bob Saget produced it so its not SFW or family friendly.
Major Leagues
Blues Brothers, The Devils Advocate, and Crank. Just starting Serpeco.
I saw the new Star Trek movie tonight. I'm a fan, not a full blown trekkie because I wouldn't dress up for a movie, although my sister did go to a Star Trek convention to see Jonathan Frakes. I'd give it two thumbs up. JJ Abrams surprised me. It didn't get too crazy like many of his projects do. Now he needs to make an ALIAS movie!
Pride and Prejudice(4 1/2 hour movie)-Better then the 2 hour movie,I loved it
Slumdog Millionaire. It's a good thing that I didn't see this in the theater because I found myself talking to the screen. It was another difficult to watch movie. The living conditions in the movie are real and that's truly so sad. Good ending, though, but predictable. I still enjoyed it.
I saw Wolverine last night. It was pretty good but I really wish they would have made the claws look more realistic. They had such great scenes (helicoptor scene for example) but couldn't made the darn claws look better. I think that alone ruined the movie for me.. :\
I saw Star Trek again right after Wolverine.. I can't get enough :D
Leon.
two more thumbs up for Star Trek! Much better than I thought it would be:)
Never Back Down-I loved it
Erin Borkavick(sp?)-Good Movie,I can't believe it is a true story
Kung Fu Panda...cute!
Wolverine on Saturday. I thought it was great. Loved the special effects. Hugh Jackman is an Adonis. I thought my heart would pump out of my chest. Had to roll my tongue back into my mouth. I could care less about a plot. It was fun.
"Carrington" on Showtime last night. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........
Jane Austan Book Club-Cute Movie
Rush Hour-Still funny and still one of my favorite movies
Atonement in total was a great film. I found it a little slow in the middle and could have been shorter without losing the story line. The war aftermath scenes at Dunkirk were depressing because they showed it like it was. It deserved all of the awards it received.
I saw WALL-E last night. What an adorable movie!!
Girl With A Pearl Earring w/Scarlett Johanssen. Meh.
NOVA, Hitler's Lost Sub. This is a documentary.
Amazing Grace-What a wonderful movie.
I saw Star Trek movie and it's the best Star Trek yet. My favorite part of the movie was when young Spock was talking to old Spock. A 5 star rating.
On DVD watch Hotel For Dogs. A very good movie that will tug at your heart strings. Get a hanky in your hand.
Sandy Frost
Titanic, 1997, I think this is the only time Ive watched the entire movie.
I think the only reason I watched it is because the divers that discovered Hitlers lost Uboat dived in the Mir subs to the Titanic and discovered the likeliest reason why she sank.
ETA: I still think Raise the Titanic was a good flic.
Further ETA: I think the last survivor of the Titanic died today. If IRC she was 2 months old when the Grand Lady sank.
"He's Just Not That Into You". Cute. Young. But cute.
We saw Night at the Museum: Battle for the Smithsonian last week. Just as silly as the first one, but so much fun! Kids, of all ages, will love it.
I have watched SO many since I last updated. Here's what I can remember
Moulin Rouge- I loved it
Jesus Christ Super Star- pretty good
Phantom of the Opera- didn't like it
Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat- I've seen it on vhs many times before and also twice live with Donny Osmond, so I obviously like it.
Drop Dead Gorgeous- ok
The Derby Stallion- please don't make me watch it again
Hamlet- I LOVED it!
Romeo and Juliet- I forgot how much I really didn't like it
As You Like It- it sucked
A Mid Summer Night's Dream- I own it on dvd, I love it
Flicka- I love it
the 1970s BBC version of The Last Of The Mohicans
The Other Bolyn Girl- it was ok
28 Days Later- pretty darn good, plus it had Christopher Eccelston in it! :D
I Am Guilty- a german film with subtitles, it was bad.
Treasure Planet- I can't believe I didn't see it earlier!
and the one I watched a few days ago and loved, You I Love. It's in Russian with subtitles and it's really cute and weird. I recommend it to anyone. (Just a warning, it has scenes with men making out, so if that bothers you, don't watch it.)
UP. It was amazing! Totally fun, way cool, beautiful, heartwarming, action packed, awesome! :)
Star Trek 2009, finaly a Trek film that is better then Wrath of Khan! I have know seen everything Star Trek.
Blue my hubby is a huge star trek fan, he also went and saw the movie, it came out here on his birthday, so you can guess what he got for a present can't you? he loved it, he is going to see Terminator salvation this weekend maybe, so hopefully he will enjoy that too.
