Did you watch the original, or the new one?
We watched "Music of the Heart" from 1999. Based on a true story of a woman who taught violin in East Harlem. Don't think I had ever heard of it, but we really enjoyed it.

I watched the new one last night, but it came with a copy of the original I havent watched yet.
I watched 72 minutes of a stage recording of Rent with a cast I've never seen before. I only watched 72 minutes because I was watching it on Megavideo.
I rewatch one of my All time favorite movies. "Somewhere in Time"
with Jane Seymour and Christophor Reeve. This is a tremendous movie.
Left Behind 2-Loved it.Can't deside if I like the first one or these one the best
The Prestiege, if you like magic and suspense this is a good flick.
"Hotel Rwanda" was on PBS last night. I did not know the genocide in Rwanda was that bad.
Tale of Despereaux (cartoon) it made me cry a lot but still a good movie. I guess I was just in a sappy mood:o
Sweeney Todd- On my way home from Florida, I was stuck in the back of the car bored to death, and my sister loves that movie. I wasn't planning on watching it because I never liked the plot much at all but I did and am very happy with it. First of all, Johnny Depp is the hottest thing in the entire world. I am convinced you could bake cookies on him :D I was in a JD mood as I just got back from Disney World and saw him many times because he was in Pirates..:) He looked awesome. Although I must say if you don't like gore and violence don't even think..remotely..about watching it. Yes it was bad in that way. It's also a very depressing movie but good all the same
Saw 'Knowing' last night. Really well done. A bit disturbing at times but it really makes you think. :)
Marley and Me-Good movie but I was crying by the end.
Love takes Wing-Great Movie,I love the Love Comes Softly Series
Love finds a Home-Another Great Movie,I am sad that this is the last movie in the series
This afternoon - State of Play, with Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck. Better than I thought it would be.
OOOOOOO...I can't wait to see that! So many good actors (Russell Crowe, Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren, Robin Wright Penn, Jason Bateman, Jeff Daniels). I'm not a huge Ben Affleck fan, but I'm sure he brings his "A Game" surrounded by the others. I'm expecting it to be great!
I watched Slumdog Millionaire. Very good movie, beautifully done, great soundtrack, cool story. I had no idea what it was about, but I really enjoyed it!
I finally saw Brokeback Mountain last night, and it was very, very good.
Hotel Rowanda was a fabulous movie! We watched it last year in school, I thought it was very well made.
We watched 'Taken' as a family on Sunday. It was an EXCELLENT movie!
The Wrestler w/Mickey Rourke. Tough for me to watch but Rourke was really good. Sad movie.
I have also watched the first season of Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and with exception of the new Star Trak movie I have seen every movie and episodes of all teh Star Trek franchises recently.
Pride and Prejudice(newer one)-I loved it.I went out and bought the book and the older version of the movie today.
Grey Gardens w/Drew Barrymore. She did an incredible job of portraying Edie. She got her mannerisms down, her voice inflection and affectation, too. I saw the original documentary that the movie was based on. (I know, a movie based on a documentary?) and it's a sad story of depression and codependence. That isn't all it's about but I don't want to give it away. See it. Drew Barrymore surprised me.
Mary that sounds a good movie, i am a great fan of drew barrymore, i have never heard of it before, but will be enquiring at the video store soon.
Got Disaster movie out for hubby's birthday, i knew it was not my kind of movie, but thought both he and my daughter would enjoy it,i saw the beginning and thought how stupid it was, i never watched it, however hubby said it was just ok,not that great, have got the quantam of solace to watch this saturday, think it will be much better, even if it is still not exactly my type of movie.:)
saw it last night ....1-good special effects....2- slightly weak plot, 3-spocks' got game...
Forgot to mention: Jessica Lange was outstanding as Edie Sr. in the movie Grey Gardens. The woman and her daughter, Edie Jr., were relatives of Jackie Onassis and that's why the documentary was done about them. Don't miss this one.
Medusa, what was the name of the documentary?
Some T.V. on DVD:
Beaverly Hills,90210 season 5
Life season 1
I plan to watch the longer version of Pride and Prejudice tomorrow.
Oh gosh, you had to ask me, didn't ya? I don't know, blue, I'm sorry. It was late at night and I couldn't sleep so I turned on the TV and watched it in bed. The name of the movie, though, is Grey Gardens, so maybe you can Google it or something and see what you can find out from there.
ETA: I thought I should Google it myself and, as it turns out, the documentary is called Grey Gardens as well. It's about Edie Beale and her daughter. I think that I may try to find the original documentary myself and watch it again. For some reason, both the documentary and the movie really touched me.
Grey Garden is available on DVD at Amazon.com
Well, beware that the documentary is very difficult to watch, rather like a car accident that you can't turn away from. You just have to look. It made me very sad and I felt like a voyeur into the lives of severely dysfunctional people but yet I just had to keep watching. The movie (w/Drew Barrymore) about the documentary is much easier viewing. The movie will more than likely be available for purchase soon enough.
One thing that's very disturbing is the amount of cats that they had and the cats peed and pooped everywhere and right in front of them, too. They left it all there for years to accumulate and the smell and dilapidation of the house prompted neighbors to call authorities and that's what prompted the documentary.
I saw Star Trek and I really enjoyed it. Awesome pre-quel. ;D
Ive been too busy watching The Fresh Prince of Bell Air to watch Grey Gardens and a bunch others Ive been waiting to watch.
