Oh i was so sad to see this thread, i will be keeping Nebo in my thougths, we just had an incident with Senorita as well, with 2 lumps, she had one that was getting bigger and bigger, so we had them removed and biopsied as well, it turns out she had 2 follicular cyst, lets pray that Nebos are similar and just simply need to be removed, Let us know what the Doc says.

Waiting and wondering...

Nebo is home...poor guy, looking at him makes me so sad. :( They must have really knocked him out, he could hardly walk out of the vet. He's been whining a bit too, I'm sure his leg hurts him. He can't run around at all for at least 2 weeks..and Nebo looooves to run. I have to make sure it doesn't get wet either, which is going to be fun with all the snow. :/ I won't know the results of what the lump is for a few days, keep those prayers coming..I'm hoping it's benign.
Attached are a couple pictures of him (warning the last one is graphic)
-
Oh Darlin Bee Butt .............. {{{gentle hugs}}} to you ..... and to Amy too ...
-
Awww.....
poor dude.
*huggies* to the both of you
-
Poor little man :( I know you'll get better, Nebo, but I'll be thinking of you just in case :) I hope he's able to walk without hurting himself soon ... that's such an akward place to have a tumor removed.
-
Awww my poor buddy bebo, I'll keep the thoughts coming Amy.
-
WELCOME Homme, Nebo!!!
http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/smile.gif
He does look a little "spazzed out" ...
http://petoftheday.com/talk/attachme...chmentid=25255
But the On Duty Nurse seems to be watching over him!
Did they give you an E-collar or one of the "rigid collars" to keep him from
"bothering" the leg?
As for keeping it "dry" - unless the snow is that deep, he shouldn't get it too wet
as long as he's being walked on a leash.
I'd try some Vet Wrap or an elastic bandage - just put several layers on before
he goes out - then take the wrap off as sooon as he comes back in.
Was the Vet able to remove enough of a "margin" around the bump?
Did the Vets say they were encoraged by the results?
We'll keep the Prayer Candles lighted till we know more.
Feel Better SOON, Nebo!!

I'll be thinking about him, hoping it isn't serious.
That picture is so sweet, with Sydney looking over him.
-
Continued prayers for Nebo.
-
Aww, poor Nebo. It's sweet though, Sydney does seem to be concerned. I am still sending out good thoughts and prayers for you and our big handsome Nebo.
-
Awww...poor baby!! Adding my heartfelt wishes that he recovers speedily and that the news from the lab is all good...will be watching for updates. Have a good rest now, dear Nebo! So many hearts are pulling for you!
-
Awww Beebo, poor little dude. He sure does look "out of it" in the pictures, but I see nurse Sydney is on the job taking care of him;)
That leg really looks like a big "OUCHIE". Hope he leaves it alone so you don't have to put the cone on him.
When he's feeling a little better, give him some big {{{HUGS}}} from me and tell him I love him:)
And of course I'll keep him and you in my prayers that the testing turns out benign.
Lots of {{{{HUGS}}}} for you too Amy.
-
Poor Nebo. :( Amy, I will keep Nebo in my prayers that his tests come back good news.
-
Poor sweet bebo! :( That looks like a big mean "cut" you have! It's good though that you got him in right away...even IF it was something, seeing you got it so quick I can't see it being serious! Let us know! I'll be thinking of that handsome boy till we hear the results!
-
Wow, that is quite an incision. Poor guy. It was hard keeping Finn still after his neuter...good luck with Nebo's leg. You'll have to wrap it in socks or something to keep it dry when you go outside. ;) I hope the tests come back in his favor. That hurts just looking at it.
-
Aw, poor baby boy. That's a huge deep incision. Did they give him any painkillers? It's gotta hurt. Sidney looks so adorable checking up on his buddy.
I'm praying with all my might, too, that Neb's going to be fine. So many prayers, so many lit candles, so much love for our special, loving boy.
-
Ohhh Nebo and Amy, I wish I was there so bad so I could give you both a big hug. I will keep on saying prayers for Nebo and waiting anxiously for the test results.
{{{HUGS}}}
-
poor you and poor Nebo!!!
Hugs to you both!
-
Amy, I just now saw this thread. :o
Poor Nebo. :( I sure hope that he makes a full and quick recovery and that the test results show that it's nothing serious. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent your way. Please take care. ((((HUGS))))
-
Nebo will continue to be in my thoughts {{Hugs}}. Feel better soon Nebo.
-
He still looks out of it :( Good thoughts still being sent to Nebo, poor guy, that is quite the battle wound there.
-
Oh Nebo. :( That looks painful. But you be sure to leave those stitches alone! And he looks so tired. Poor guy.
Still thinking of him and hoping it's benign!
-
Poor Nebo boy. That does look like a long & deep incision but if they thought it might be cancerous that is good, the more they get out around it the better the chances of it returning.
You can tape a plastic grocery bag on his leg when he goes out in the snow.
I hope he wakes up a little more soon, that anesthesia can take a toll on a husky. Mylo (my ex's husky who I told you before looks a lot like Nebo) was the same way when he went under. It would take him forever to wake up.
Get better soon Nebo boy. Be a good boy & listen to your mother she's doing whats best for you. I hope it not cancerous & that you never have any problems in the future! We love you big Bebo boy!
-
Amy , hugs and prayers out to the two of you. Did the vet give any idea about it?
-
Ohhh that looks ouchie Nebo :(. I know Mommy is taking super good care of you and pampering you like only a Mommy can. Just be a good boy now and no running around, you rest now and get healed up okay? You continue to be in my prayers, handsome, beloved Nebo :)
-
I am glad he is home. Now he can begin to recuperate and heal. Please give him a big kiss for me. Get well Nebo.
-
Glad to see Nebo's home. It looks like they took a pretty big area which is good, hopefully it means they managed to get clean "margins" if it is cancerous. Continued prayers that it's benign
-
Wow Nebo sweetie, that incision looks big. Hopw they got all the bad stuff out and you heal up quickly. It sure is in an inconvient place to keep dry.
Maybe you could clear him a path in the yard for outties.
-
Ouch! I wasn't expecting the incision to be that big! Poor, sweet Nebo!
I'm glad he's home, that Sydney is keeping such close tabs on him and that the bump is gone. More prayers on the way that its nothing serious.
