Gosh this thread is just hilarious, i've been LOLing ever since I opened it. How come I can't buy boobs named Rupert. :(
KAYANN DESCRIBED MY ROOMBA - "RUPERT" PERFECTLY!
GRAND PRIZE GOES TO KAYANN!!!!
I will come back and tell you more about Rupert..........but I just received a client call and I have to deal with it. Can you imagine, I actually have to work here! So boring sometimes.:D :D
I had guessed, but went with the Dyson.
Congrats Kay Ann!
But the Roomba is made by iRobot, whose corporate headquarters are not far from here!
LOL! I immedately thought of this with your clues - Watch "Run for your life" http://www.musicdogvideos.com/ ParNone's Cairn about to get sucked up by the Roomba. ;)
Welcome to Pet Talk, Rupert! ;)
Do let us know how he's fitting in.... does he work well? What do the kitties think?
Will someone be wanting the Rupert Booby prize?
Just couldn't resist!
When I get more time I will take pictures of Rupert and post them and tell you all about him.
All of Pet Talk knows now about Rupert - and I haven't told one single family member.
It is without a doubt the silliest thing I have ever bought - at least that I can recall...............
I have only had him for a few days - but so far he does a great job. He needs to be tamed though - he likes to explore the whole house - pretty nosey guy.
Congrats Kay!:D Congrats to you to Gini on Rupert. I cant wait to see pictures of him.;) This was a fun thread it made me laugh....
 WHAT is your housekeeper going to think?? First the, uh..kit...and now a nosy Rupert! ;)Quote:

Although I'm too late for the guessing, this was the funniest thing I've seen in days! You all sure had me laughing this morning:D
Thanks for starting this thread and giving me something to laugh about Gini! Hope you enjoy the newest memeber of your household!

ROFLAMO!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D
Sooooo, how is Rupert today???? Has he found his way home yet?
yes how is rupert today?
I went to a football game yesterday, so I had to leave Rupert and the kitties all to themselves.
But I will share with you that I am getting nothing but giggles out of Rupert.
On Friday I went into the - errrrr - a certain "room" in my house, closed the door and - uh - sat down - and turned on Rupert and watched him clean to his hearts content.
So the lesson is - you don't have to just "read" in that room - you can also vacuum at the same time.
Like I said earlier - I really think I need to get a life!!:D :D
I also put him under the bed. Well of course, I had to bend down to see what he was doing and guess what!!
Rascal is VERY JEALOUS of Rupert. He wouldn't leave me alone - he kept giving me head bumps - purring his head off and biting my hair. Rupert was only a foot away from him. I thought I would die laughing!

Just had to bring this up again. Meet Rupert. I've seen him in action in the very same room. Let me tell you his brushes swept me off my feet. What a job well done!!! I wanted to sneak him in my suitcase to bring him home but didn't know how Max would take a new addition.
I'm impressed! Rupert is cute! I've never seen one like that before! :D I didn't see this thread at the time either. Hilarious guesses everyone.
We have one of them too :) me and boyfriend got one for his parents, and they just love it :) Its for THEM but i try my hardest not to use it for myself lol :p
OMG!! I have NO idea how I missed this, but what a hilarious thread!!! Good thing the boss isn't here right now or I'd have been totally busted because I wouldn't have been able to shut this thread down! :D :D :D
I've often thought of getting one of these....how does it work on tile floors? Can Rupert transition easily between tile and carpet? I'm thinking of the motorhome. There is so little carpet that I don't need a vacuum, but the tile floor collects dust and dirt and dust bunnies like you wouldn't believe, not to mention kitty litter tracked all over.
Ok, enough of the seriousness, back to grinning from ear to ear over some of these guesses. :D
This is Rupert's Mother reporting in.................he is such a good boy - well, sort of a Momma's boy - but he is just too cute to not spoil.
Yes, there are days when I just let him run around the whole house.
This morning he was gobbling up coffee grounds that I had spilled on the kitchen floor..........and then he went into the den and took care of the leftover catnip on the carpeting that I had given to the kids last night.
He is always so cheerful about it too........he lets out the cutest sound when he is done with his chores - so pleased with himself.
The key to his happiness though, is to keep him clean - because you will be appalled at the amount of YOUR dirt he picks up.
He loves to roam around under the bed - but he complains saying that the kitties leave too much fur under there.
My little Ruppie..............Momma would never have let Slick steal you!!!
How about a video of Rupert in action, Gini?
I think I missed this thread the first time, but after hearing the stories in California, it was quite funny to go back and read! Thanks for bumping it up Slick!!
Gini, be careful! On another forum I frequent one of the women's Roomba got to the remains of a kitty 'erpasode' before she did and the results were a mess throughout the house. Not that Rascal, Emma, or Annie ever have erpasodes, though, right?
{{{hugs}}}
Oh my goodness, what a horrible thought. Mine can be programmed with a remote to come on in the middle of the night and vacuum.
And I would want to do this WHY??? I thought it was an odd feature.
It does have little modules that can confine the space it cleans though.
Too funny, I really enjoyed reading this thread... I believe I shall invest in one of these for mom for mother's day.
OMGosh, I can't believe this got bumped up!! HAHA, I remeber I was on here when you first started it, there are some goofy guesses. LOL I'm glad he's fitting in...:p
OMG!
I never knew these things existed, I MUST HAVE ONE!
