Keeping Peanut in my thoughts & prayers.
Get better FAST. sweetie!
I think doing surgery like this with a kitty of her age means the doc really was sure the outcome would be good:)
I am so sorry that Peanut baby and you have to go through this (and Terry must be devastated as well) but she is in good hands now and can be taken care of better maybe than you would (although there will be no love like youre to help her recover next week):)
*watery eyes* sorry you're having a tumor cat. it comes to be a pain in ..... that you fed, guard and love your dear one very well and this still has to come! :(
well soon better than late. you and peanut went into my thoughts immediately and will continue until peanut is all well!!
think about having her coming home and be with you as well as she's 'looking around' for you ;)
{{hugs}}
Sorry I haven't replied before now but I jusr couldn't. This one hits too close to home. I lost my RB Mysti as a result of a tumor. I want we to know I am with you and peanut every step of the way. And am hoping and praying beyond belief for her full recovery. Please keep us posted.
I just now saw this, Debbie, and i'm sorry I didn't see it sooner.
Hope it's a quick recovery and the doc got everything he needed to get from sweet Peanut!
{{HUGS}} to you all!!
Who needs a whole bladder anyway? Heal quickly sweet Peanut!
Thanks again everyone. We're stopped for fuel so I thought I'd let you know that I called the vet around 3:30 pm, and it turns out they leave at 2:00 pm on Wednesdays so there was no one to answer the phone. I'm sure they have someone checking in on the surgery patients though.
I will call in tomorrow morning and let you know how she's doing.
Drat, I wish I had known because it would have been nice to have an uppydate before bed, but I know the PT Prayer line is on it and she'll be better than new in no time.
Barbara, I agree, if she had been a frail old lady cat, I'm sure he would have advised differently. Sara, you're right! And besides, the little old ladies always need Depends, don't they? ;)
On a side note, we stopped for fuel at one place and had to go to a different place because the first place ran out of fuel. First of all high prices....now a shortage?
Get well soon, Peanut!! I'm praying for you and your mommy.
Maybe the station couldn't afford to buy the gas. :rolleyes:Quote:

(just a little humor ;) )
{{{HUGS}}}} I am stunned to hear this news. I will be praying for a speedy and complete recovery. I told the kitties to keep all their paws crossed for her.
Peanut sweetie... please get better real soon, ok?
Oh Debbie. I *just* got to this thread! Prayers for beautiful, princess Peanut. She's one of my favorite kitties on all of PT!
{{{hugs}}}
I am so sorry that I missed this thread but just wanted to give my prayers to Peanut.
Oh Debbie, I'm so sorry.
Lots of prayers for your beautiful Peanut girl.
Poor baby! I hope she recovers quickly from the surgery.
The vet sounds very positive and that has to be a good sign.
Get well soon, sweet Peanut!
I'm so sorry I got here so late.Peanuts I am praying hard for you.Wow.A tumor I would never had guessed.Poor baby.Thank God Peanuts has you.Get well real soon Peanuts.
We love you.
I had a thought....my poor baby probably has a cone on:(:( ...and I'm not there to take pictures....:( ...poor little girl....and she probably got her leg shaved for the IV, right? Don't they normally do that when they have surgery?
Thanks so much again everybody. I know she's probably resting comfortably....but I sure wish I was with her as she rested comfortably....:(
We're in St. Robert, MO for the night. I'll check in again in the morning after I talk to the vet. Although my internet service will be more spotty tomorrow so I'll check in when I can and let you know how the little patient is doing.
I'm so sorry that I didn't see this thread until now.
Hugs to you.
It must be hard for you and Terry not to be with her while she is recovering from her surgery.
Get well soon little Peanut girl! We all love you here at Pet Talk.:)
I remember how Lucy's trouble thyroid caused urinary problems, and I'm glad that's Peanut's looking at a full recovery. Man, I feel old. I remember first seeing Peanut at your mom's house. I always thought she was beautifully colored. I remember Tubby as well, and I still have to meet CJ.
Me, my husband, and my zoo all wish Peanut to get well soon.
Dear Peanut,
Please get well soon.
Much Love,
THE Beans
Aw, sweet li'l Peanut girl. Hang in there and you, too, Mom. Positive prayers are still going out to you all.
Blessings,
M
Wishing Peanut a full return to health as soon as possible. I saw the earlier posts "it's just a UTI " and thought all was ok - just checked in again now and learned about the operation/tumour etc. You must be beside yourself with worry, having to travel at this time. My thoughts are with you and your cats, the one in surgery the other "home alone", bless him. If love and the support on here count for anything, (and they do, of course)Peanut will be just fine, it just takes time. One day at a time. Best wishes from me and my two girls:)
I'm glad she's doing good & is in good hands.
Still sending wishes for yous for a speedy & succesfull recovery!
Oh poor little Peanut! :( I'm sorry you can't be with her, but I hope by now she's recovering from her surgery, with or without a cone - probably best she has one on. Yes, she has most likely been shaved too, but the little lady won't care what she looks like - and you're not there to laugh at her. ;)
Sweet Peanut, get better soon!! We're all rooting fo you! :)
Sending kisses and headbumpies to you girl, and hugs to your mom and dad.
Got an update this morning, but it was like pulling teeth out of the girl who answered the phone. All she did was answer my questions with brief answers and I'm thinking "C'mon, I want information here!"
Anyway, she has not eaten yet, but that is normal after what she's been through. And she was eating like a little piggy before I took her in, so I'm sure once she's feeling better she'll start eating again. I asked if she had a cone on and the girl said no, she's still pretty weak and just laying around - which is also normal after what she's been through. She did say that Peanut is very sweet and they're all taking turns petting her and talking to her, so that made me feel a little better. I'm sure they still have her on some pretty good pain meds also, so she's still probably pretty out of it, but I'm sure she's wondering what's going on and why her meowmy isn't there...poor little girl. :(
But all in all it was a good update. I asked if there had been any setbacks and she said no, Peanut is doing as well as can be expected after a major surgery like this.
I miss her here in her carrier next to my chair and we drive, and yes, I even miss CJ and his constant meowing and kicking his carrier and rolling around and causing a ruckus. ;) Terry even said he misses having them here. :D
Thanks for the update Debbie. I hope Peanut continues to improve. *HUGS*
