I just came across this thread and as I read from start to finish, have been sobbing with tears just rolling down my cheeks. Then I read Zippy's post and smiled to think of Killian and the Pope traveling into Christ's arms together.

I pray for your families peace and comfort during this most difficult time in your life. Killian has been a real tropper and you have been his angel. A more deserving valiant soldier we will never find. May Killian find God's speed in his travels if this is the fathers will. I am praying for all of you.

Sue, it's so hard to find words to tell you how sorry I am for you and your family having to see the dear pup fading. You and Killian have gone through so many ups and downs because of his health problems. Nobody could have taken better care of him and he knows it. Our love also will embrace him now and forever.
