When I seen your thread in general, my heart just dropped.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet Tubby. Like some of the others, I didn't even know about him being sick. I'm so sorry to hear this.
I had no idea how old he was, he sure didn't look his age at all.
Even though a lifetime couldn't be long enough, I'm sure he had a wonderful 18 years with you.

I know how hard it is to loose a furkid that has been with you so long. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you, Terry and Peanut.

Ohhh... I'm so sorry to hear that... But Tubby is out of pain and in peace now, so it was the best decision. I'm so sorry you had to make it, at all but especially at this time of year, but you did the right thing.

Dear Debbie, I am so very very sorry! I hope you and Terry find some peace in the fact that you allowed your sweet Tubby to pass over to the Rainbow Bridge in peace and comfort.

OMG! I'm in shock. Was offline most of yesterday with Xmas stuff and didn't get online until this morning and had no idea until I got your PM that something had happened.

I'm SO sorry for your loss. It's the hardest decision a pet parent has to make and I know you did the right thing by Tubby.

Play hard at the RB sweet Tubby. Please give my RB Goldie a head bumpie and even a lick if she'll tolerate it.

I have asked Dutchess, Sugar, Magic and Patches to be sure to welcome Tubby at the Rainbow Bridge. I know they will take good care of him and make sure he gets to know everyone.

Tubby is well again............he is happy............look, I think he is chasing a butterfly.......but he stopped and looked back..........and is remembering how much you loved him and what a lucky cat he was to have had you as a Mom.

He misses you and loves you terribly.........and will wait for you to join him one day.

How sad! My favourite black boy is gone :( And I was just thinking these days how great it is that he is better.

Oh, I thought he was doing so good. It is a terrible rollercoaster to be on.

We don't have to explain to you that it was the kind thing to do for him, you already know. We don't need to explain he'll be there waiting for you, you already know. We know that the pain doesn't go away knowing these things too.

He had a very good life with you. Long and happy.

I'm so, so sorry Debbie. It's hard to believe right now. Only yesterday, Barbara and I were saying how happy we were that Tubby had rallied. Others had met Tubby, of course, but those of us who hadn't felt that we knew him through your loving posts and photographs, and we are grieving with you now.

Tubby had a great life and you were there with him helping him until the end. Please watch over your mum for us, Tubby. She still needs you.

As has been said, Tubby was a Pet Talk institution and I don't remember Pet Talk without him:( Tubby had a great life; a long and happy one filled with love that's for sure. There simply are no words that can express how deep my sorrow goes. What a tremendous hole there will be without the sweet Tubster.
Through the tears I realized something Debbie. Look at how many people have responded to your loss. Right now it's seven pages of out pouring love and tears for one precious black kitty that we all came to know and love. You and Tubby have touched so many. There simply is no better tribute to such a wonderful boy.

I haven't been on PT all weekend so I'm in shock to hear this news . . . I am so sorry. I know how much you loved him & how much you'll always love him! He was a special boy!

Be thankful for the extra few weeks that you had with him. It was almost as if he was giving you time to let him go.

We had to head to my parents' today for an early Christmas. We were supposed to go yesterday when the whole family was there, but needless to say we didn't make it. Peanut was home alone today for 12 hours - completely alone for the first time in her life. She was so happy to see us when we got home, and is laying here under her little "heat lamp" as I type this. I think she must realize by now that Tubby is gone. I don't know how much it bothers her because they were never really close, but as long as I've had her, Tubby has been here. She essentially knows no life without him, so even though they weren't close, she has to miss him. Since she, also, is getting up there in years, and you hear so often about one going so soon after the other, that we will be watching her like a hawk to make sure she's ok.

Thank you all for the wonderful thoughts, poems and pictures. As for the pictures, please do not feel offended if I don't use them in my signature. Like I said in Donna's post, I'm not quite ready yet to start referring to him as "My RB Tubby." He is my Tubby, my big black boy. They say as long as you have the memories he's not really gone, so to me, he's not. I can't touch him or pet him or hear his purr or feel his weight as he snuggles with me, but he has not left my side.

There are so many other individual things that I want to reply to, and PM's that I need to reply to, but you must all forgive me if I sign off for the night. I didn't sleep well last night and it has been a long day, so I think I will go snuggle with my little Peanut girl for awhile. I think we both might need it.

Debbie, it takes quite a while for it to truly sink in ..... please take all the time you need. We will be here for you whenever you need, and whenever you are comfortable being here full-time again. We all love you very much, and share in your pain and sorrow. I still grieve terribly for my Tucker Man .... and I only had him for 2 short years!:(

I'm so sorry. :( Thank goodness, one of our good friends had the foresight to send me an email letting me know about this. Unfortunately, I didn't even see that until this morning.

Debbie, you know how much your sweet kitties have stolen all of our hearts. The loss of Tubby is devastating for us, and I can't imagine how you and Terry are feeling right now. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you both, and with Peanut. I hope that she is doing fine. I'm glad she is there with you. I know how much it helped Helen and me to have our other pets when we lost our Kaycee.
