WAKEY WAKEY RISE AND SHINE!!!
It's a beautiful sunny day today. Fresh coffee and home-made Bailey's is on the bar.
Should be an easier day today so maybe I can have more time to play.
Gee, I feel all giggly today.....those perky lessons I've been taking must be paying off. :D
Slick, the coffee would really hit the spot!
How are you this morning? I hope Speckles is doing okay today.
I think Mario is lonely, his little boy went back home for awhile and he is missing Dakota so much. I guess it wouldn't hurt to give him an early beer, would it?
Willie:D
Slick, I wish you would overcome your shyness! LOL LOL I'll stsart off with a beer, and I'll try cheer up Mario. He looks down in the dumps.
:D :D Ah, come on now David, you wouldn't want me any other way. ;) :DQuote:

Willie, it's soooo nice that you are here. Please stick around today if you can. :) Max and Specks are doing OK but now I've got a problem with one of the cats I'm cat-sitting. It seems that Rusty has developed a bad limp so if it's no better tomorrow it's off to the whitecoats for him.
Catch you guys later and don't give any of that Bailey's to Mario.
I'll take a Bailey's and it's off to physical therapy!
Good morning all. Glad to wake up to a "normal" morning . Its been a stressful week. Only 2 more days of being opren at the shop. Then a week of inventory and then I'm a FREE woman until April..Time to play with the fuzzy crew. How about a class of apple juice this morning.
Just started looking at the storm radar good greif will Florida be inhabited after this season? more storms and reruns of Jeannie and Ivan . Any one needing shelter I have a trailer here empty.
Hate to say this, but I don't recognize the song. However, when Slick decided to sing it ONE MORE TIME -Quote:

I started singing it - but to the tune of the theme song for "The Beverly Hillbillies".
I'll have some of that coffee and Baileys. <sings off tune> "Won't you come home Bill Bailey, won't you come home....?)
lololol,
That is why I love Thursdays and all of you.....
Someone tosses out a word/phrase or story and it gets a life of it's own...

Laurie,
the REAL reason Cat Stevens was tossed off the plane was he pooped in the overhead bins....;)

'Mornin.....errrr....afternoon everyone! Gee, is it lunch time already? Slick, what are those perky lessons, I think Terry needs some of those lately.
Corinna, so the gift shop is closing already? I know the mountains around Denver got 17" of snow the other day, are you guys getting it already too? It just seems too early to be closing for the season - what happens when Terry and I want to visit in Mid October, will the roads still be open? ;)
I'm totally off coke now and onto Diet Rite - no sugar, no caffeine, no sodium, no nothing - what is this stuff made of.....besides Splendide that is? So I guess I'll take a White Grape Diet Rite please.
I'm hungry!
What's for lunch?
How about tacos? and iced tea with lime?:D
RICHARD, I thought it was a hair-ball!
MOFF, just came back from paying my HUGE property tax bill at the county courthouse (YUK) and needed some comfort.. SO, went up to Kensington Kabob & Pizza joint and bought some ONION RINGS! Thought of you of course... boy, were they just purrfect.
Slick, "perky"? That's almost as bad as being "cute". I hate cute.
Can't believe ya'll caint remember Thunder Road. Robert Mitchum was my hero. Well, at least one of them.
Beverly Hillbillies, I think that's when I decided I wanted a BloodHound for my next dog. Of course I ended up with a bunch of BorderCollie/AussieShepard mutts... I guess I'll keep them after all.
HEY, did you know that I also have a CLOWDER at home? In yesterdays crossword puzzle the answer was "ABUNCHOFPETCATS". And JenLuckenback always has a KINDLE "AGROUPOFKITTENS". Look it up... true words:D:p
:D Glad you enjoyed them!Quote:

CLOWDER? I thought that was a soup with clams in it? ;)
Well I didn't believe you, so I went and looked it up. Clowder wasn't in my dictionary, but kindle was! Good grief!
(I've never heard of Thunder Road though.)
Hi All - I'm glad I wasn't the only one singing along with the tune to "The Beverly Hillbillies"!! :D :D
I agree with David, Slick - you really should come out of your shell a little more!!!
Well as it's 6.55PM here - I've just had pasta for dinner - so I could really fancy something CHOCLATY!!!! :D Ah - I remember some Cadbury's in the fridge - I'll bring it shoujld I? We can share - especially with some of Slicks Baileys.

Laurie - cute is bad, but sometimes perky is worse. Especially bright and early on a Monday morning. How people can be perky on a Monday morning is waaaaaayyyy beyond me.
I just typed in "clowder" on Google and...
Clowder - (n) a group or collection of cats. ...
HA HA! Chowder is the soup with clams. Good stuff. Maybe I'll make some seafood soup for lunch for everyone. Shrimp, clams, mussels, crab meat and/or lobster meat, calimari (eww, squid for those that are squeemish can pull out the octopus)OOOOH, with some good sopping up French bread. HOO BOY... get the garlic and butter on the saute pan! We're burning sunlight pilgrims!
Hmmmm, there are some parts of my body that I wish were as "perky" as my mind... :DQuote:

Hi Debbie. Speckles send smoochies to you. What do you think of the name I picked out "Feline Foggies"??
Lynne - come out of my shell? What am I, a crustacean??? :D
Hi to everyone else. I see that the Bailey's is gone so I'd better whip up another batch before Gini gets here.
Clowder??
http://www.clowder.com/
Today's lesson: How to speak "Laurie" 101. :D
I vote for the tacos!:D I'm about 1/2 hour away from non-cyber lunch time here.
I like the expression "a murder of crows" - who thinks of these things anyway?
What should the Thursday group be called?
UNIQUE? :DQuote:

Slick said - Lynne - come out of my shell? What am I, a crustacean??? NO!! I wouldn't put you in soup!
Richard could I have something long and strong please? SLICK - don't you dare!!!

Well, I was on my way to the bar..........and stopped dead in my tracks when I spotted Marsha. Have you all seen her???
I just had to sit down and talk to her a bit. Maybe we could adopt her for Mario? We could use a good pot bellied pig..............I mean the REAL kind.........not one of us for a change:D
Hey, Lynne, cut it out.......OLD???.......well, I don't need the walker quite yet thanks:D (but we all do remember Thunder Road don't we??)
Can't hang around long.......had a meeting that was supposed to be for one hour.......but it became two...........
Tacos and Baileys?? How could I go wrong? (don't answer that).
Hi everyone, I'll be back later this afternoon.
*in her best Jan Bradey voice: MARSHA! MARSHA! MARSHA!;)
Yes, I think Mario would love to meet her! Will she fit in the bar?:D

I am back again, that Bailey's was so good that I am back for more.
Hey, hey, hey! Speak for yourself Gini! I don't have a clue what Thunder Road is! I think I remember Robert Mitchum....isn't he the one that did the battery commercial with the battery on his shoulder? Ok, ok, so I may not be old, but my mind is going.....don't know where it's going but it seems to be in a big hurry lately. ;)Quote:

Slick, scritchies back to Speckles...and Max too since we can't leave anyone out. Feline Foggies is a great name! I must have skimmed over that but I went back and checked it out.
Feline Foggies, where frail, forgetful felines fadeaway. Hmmm....somehow I don't think that's a very good slogan. We need something more.....hmmm...what's the word I'm looking for....got it!....we need a slogan that is much more perky! :D
It's the cocktail hour here, and it's Friday afternoon and I can't wait to go home, so I'll have another nice tall swamp thang please! Make it a nice strong one too. :D
Not only do I remember Thunder Road, I have it on video tape! It's a great movie. Robert Conrad (Wild Wild West) did the battery commercial.
David, we are all swinging by your house tonight to view Thunder Road. Sorry if we drool on your tv screen because all of us are in love with Robert Mitchum!
Thank goodness SOMEONE around here remembers the movie aside from Laurie and me:p :p
Sorry, I won't be drooling. RM doesn't do a thing for me. He's got no hair on his face. Gini, I'd rather stare at the ocean view. ;) :DQuote:

Oops. Guess I'll have to look up Robert Mitchum on google to see who you're all talking about. I'm not big on knowing movie stars. They're mostly overrated anyway. ;)Quote:

Just 1/2 an hour more and I'm otta here! How 'bout another swamp thang for the road? Sure, don't mind if I do (seeing as it's a virtual swamp thang). :D
Gini, I was wondering if you knew anything about guinea pigs? I understand you have 3 cats, but for some reason I thought you might be an expert on guinea pigs...... ;) :p :D
Well, I am now.........what would you like to know?:D :DQuote:

ROTFLMAO.....................big time!
Slick, not much of an ocean view from David's  hmmmm, Laurie speak 101.. do you know how to spell W-E-I-R-D? Who is Marsha?
Sorry Laurie, it was in inside joke, "butt" you can ask Gini about it.:D
Gheeshs things move swiftly here. I'm gone a couple hours and it seems like a month.
If you come to Glacier park mid Oct you may or may not get through on the sun hiway. depends on the snow fall it is usually gated and closed off by the end of the month they get anywhere from 25 - 180 feet during the winter. ERemember it is the rocky mtns. you can go to national park web sites and see pictures of the clearing of snow from April 2003 its just about the same every year.
Thunder road I remember and it was Robert Conrad who is the battery guy.
