My name is Shanna.
Which rhymes with "banana" ... of which I heard a lot of in grade school. ;)
My name is not, however, any version of the following: Sheena, Shana, Shawna, Shauna, or Shannon ... all of which I get called on a regular basis.
This never ceases to amaze me as my name is phonetically correct ... Shan-na. Pretty simple. I guess phonics doesn't get taught in schools anymore? :confused:

My name is not, however, Natasha, as most people seem to assume it is.
My name is Kathrine (yes I know it's spelled wrong.) Most people call me Katie, Katers, Kates, Kate, or Kat.
I don't see why you hate your name. I have 2 uncles, an aunt, and a cousin with that name. Of course the guys are spelled differantly. I still can't pronounce the male version of Don. It always comes out as Dawn, so are family has learned that I mean one of them. Oh and all the Dawns, and Dons are all on my dad's side of the family. So when there is a family get-to-gether, it's even harder to figure out which one I am talking to. ;)Quote:

My legal birth name is Meg-Elizabeth but I just go by Meg.
My real name is Robyn.

My real name is Souraya. Pronounced like Mariah (or at least that is how it is pronounced in English). My name is Arabic (translates to brilliant stars) If you were to say it in Arabic, you would have to roll the "r" and stress the "y."

My grandpa's ex-wife believed that names could change your child's personality, and her kids were having some major problems, so when they were young (I believe they were 4 and 6) they got to pick their own names out of a list of names. Apparently it worked lol.Quote:

But i just get called Rhi or if people are being funny Rhi-Rhi :rolleyes: ;)
All through highschool i got Rhino :D I love Rhino's and also it is a shorter version of my name.

My mom and dad couldn't agree on a name for me, and they were still arguing about it days before my birth. My dad wanted to name me Kizzie. (I'm NOT kidding!) Can you imagine!? Thank you, Mom, for putting your foot down on THAT one!!!
My mom had gotten a box of apples from the grocery store. Yes, back in the dinosaur age, when you got fruit in wooden boxes or baskets. The label on the box said "Shanna Apples", and my mom said, "Ok, how about Shanna?" My dad said, "Fine. Whatever."
And that is how I came to be named after a brand of apples. :D
Shanna, I am glad You got your name. Kizzie is kind of cute. But I like Shanna better.

Picture it, 1967 and my parents are trying to think of a name for a boy or a girl. Mom suggests that they try to think of one name that would work for a boy or a girl. My sister, who was then 7 years old says, "What about Mickey?" Her favorite show was The Monkees so yes, I am named after a Monkee. Mickey Dolenz.

my names Tracy, but most of my friends and family call me Trace, never tray...I am not a food service device. I also get called Tracel (by my aunt only) or Tracy Lee, Lee being my middle name. But really I answer to most things except I can't stand it when people call me Theresa my name is Tracy, not Theresa Tracy....GET IT RIGHT!!! sorry I've been called that to many times by people on the phone at work.
