My mom always would get confused and call my brother or me by the dogs name  Now she just calls everyone "dear" :D
After my parents' car accident, my dad was kinda loony because he banged his head pretty good. He introduced me to the nurse as his sister. And he introduced my Aunt as his girlfriend.  My mom was in her own hospital room but it would have been interesting to see how he introduced her. :p
Thanks everybody, I'll just sink into this comfy chair here...oh, why thank you so much Mario! How did you know carrot cake was my favorite? :D Although actually, as we were growing up, my mom would bake whatever kind of cake we wanted for our birthdays. I always chose the angel food with the colored speckles in it. So now I don't even have to ask. If I went home this weekend I know my mom would have it waiting for me. :D
Oh, and it's about 1 1/2 or so since I've been carded..... :)
Well I guess we should start carding here in the bar ,since I see some of the younger ones occasionally do come in. Shall we start with you T&P ?
I am calling poor Ben by hubbys name or by Merlin. He just looks at me with the "Mom you poor looney lady"look and a says either I'm the blonde one (hubby has black hair) or I'm Ben , the less hairy one!
I guess as you age it's a waty of denile. Not the river.;)
What music can we play for you today?
I sure wish I could spell today!!!
Richard: I bragged too much too soon yesterday! I got called in today so I'm here at work :( So I can be in misery with everyone else. Happy Birthday T&P! Ugh, I'll be 40 later this year. Kay Ann's mom thought I was only 27! That really made my day. Hopefully I can keep that up. Guess since I'm at work I have to do without the alcohol. So, how about a Cherry slushie? That sounds really good. Does anyone remember those drinks that you could get from machine at convenience stores? They were called slush puppies.
Corinna, if you go to www.aaas.org and click on "Family Science Day" you will find out more about the Association I work for and the cloned mules shown at our Annual Meeting. There is also a quote from yours truly
Happy Birthday Debbie!! I remember 42..... Your drinks are on the house today....
no, I don't mean you have to climb on the roof......:D :D
Didn't sleep too well last night; worried about Gini and other stuff. I think I'll start off with a Spanish Coffee and work my way up. Got a busy day today; have to install software and ship out about 20 PC's today.
note to self: lift with the knees
You should have hired Richard for the day. I heard he's really good at stuff like that. You know, cutting wood, riding the rails, shipping PC's....:DQuote:

Just talked to Gini,
She called and we chatted for a few minutes....she is o.k. and wants everyone to know she is getting
her new computer together and should be on line in a week or two...
:)
**sigh** thank you thank you Richard. I lost a couple hours sleep last night over her......I'm breathing a BIG sigh of relief now.Quote:

On that note, I'll take a double BM please :)
Well, so far the birthday's going good. The boss is leaving me alone for the most part, the phone is not ringing, the doorbell is not ringing, pretty quiet around here in other words. :D
I'm trying to make a CD that will "autorun." You know, when you put it in the CD tray it automatically starts itself. Anybody know how to do this?
I'll have a Long Island Iced Tea, please. The cocktail hour has begun so bring 'em on! :D
Oh, and I guess I was feeling a little low this morning because Terry left without even saying happy birthday. I wasn't too surprised since he's been such a crab lately  and I got my present last night, but I thought he'd at least say happy birthday. Well, I just got a call from him and he was all apologetic. He knew today was Friday, but he thought it was the 19th. He thought the 20th was tomorrow and that's why he didn't say anything. He was really sweet about it - and said he'd take me to dinner tonight - so I guess I forgive him. :p
So glad to know that Gini is fine. Thanks, Richard!! :) I would guess that her PM and Email boxes are going to be overflowing!!!!
I'm with Slick, it's Friday afternoon, Gini is ok, so I'll take the Bloody Mary now, too!!! :D
I've never tried doing that but isn't there a file called Autorun.ini that needs to be on the CD??Quote:

Glad to hear Gini is ok.

Thank you, Sir Richard!
Boring day.... we got a snow day. *sits all alone*

Oh Yeah!!! OK everybody take in a breath of helium.....ready now....let's sing
The Chipmunk Song
All right you Chipmunks!
Ready to sing your song?
I'll say we are!
Yeah!
Let's sing it now!
Okay, Simon?
Okay!
Okay, Theodore?
Okay!
Okay, Alvin? Alvin? ALVIN!
Okay!!!
Christmas, Christmas time is near,
Time for toys and time for cheer,
We've been good, but we can't last
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast,
Want a plane that loops the loop,
Me, I want a hula hoop,
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don't be late.
Okay fellas, get ready.
That was very good, Simon.
Naturally.
Very good Theodore.
Ahkhkhkh.
Ah, Alvin, you were a little flat, watch it.
Ah, Alvin? Alvin. ALVIN!
Okay!!!
Want a plane that loops the loop,
I still want a hula hoop,
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don't be late.
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don't be late.
Very good, boys.
Let's sing it again!
Yeah, let's sing it again!
No, That's enough, let's not overdo it.
What do you mean not overdo it?
Overdo it?
We want to sing it again!
Now wait a minute, boys...
Why can't we sing it again?
Thanks so much, Slick. :D
Well, I'm off to my birthday dinner, so you all behave until I get back. :D
ah yes, the male gene. Its why we got married on 7/27 (just like the airplane), and why I start reminding him ahead of time that my birthday is coming up :D . Funny thing is, this gene is age related, as the years go by, I have to remind him more and more.
I'm glad Gini is no longer awol.:D
ALVIN! ---- O-KAY

I guess 7/47 was out of the question???
I'm confuzed. This one guy at the Show that shows up every year, is really weird.. we all know him. He showed up at my booth with a balloon on Valentines day (his last name is Valentine) and held it in his hand and said "Happy Valentines Day, want a hit?" and held the helium balloon out to me and asked me if I wanted to talk like Micky Mouse. Oh yeah, sure.. Scientists are very weird. Geez, I best go to bed.. just how long can I use this JetLag excuse? ALVIN!!! all right..
More than what I was offered for Valentine's....Quote:

I think I'm more like Dave ! Feels like it some days you think once the kids are grown you'd have your house back NOOO they just bring adult friends back for dinner with them.
Bright side I 'm glad they are all comfortable being here we aren't my old fashion square parents. we are cool. They are even using our langaue Scary!!!
I was taking Jojo for a walk this morning, and saw the back door open at the Cyberbar...
What a week! Snow last weekend, then it hit 78 degrees on Thursday, big duststorm with red skies on Friday, it's supposed to rain today through Tuesday.
Do you mind if I put some daffodils in a beer bottle on the bar?
lbaker posed a trivia question:
" Mahayana, you do have the strangest music going through your head sometimes. Wasn't the country/western tune from someone (can't remember who) who said the perfect song must have the words "mother, drunk, train, prison & pick-up truck" ? Who was that? Oh well... one less brain cell to work with."
Hint...the answer is in one of the verses.
I was thinking of putting some jazz on the jukebox, I love everything with saxaphone solos. All I see here is "The Year Of The Cat," does anyone know how to add a couple of Stanley Turrentine CDs to the menu?
Anyway, there's some coffee on for anyone that needs a cup!
