Richard I have to agree...seeing I am a fan of the #38 Elliott Sadler.....I was up from my seat for the last 20 or so laps of the race...it almost got to the point where I could not look, I was too afraid that Kasey was going to get a better run on him and win.
I am so happy to see the #38 in VICTORY LANE!!!!! :) :)
Yes it was a very good race:D
My oldest daughter Kaitlynn was cheering for the M&M's car;) :D
WOOHOO,
Kevin Harvick's car is gonna be on display at a Chevy dealership tomorrow and Sat!!!....and it's on my home from work!!!:D :D :D :D :D
Woo Hoo! Yay!!! Mark Martin Wins!!!!!
Yes, that is right. Mark Martin has finally won a race.
Woo Hoo! Go Mark!!!!! #1
Robin :D
I knew that ford still knew shere victory lane was.........
Not only was this a big day for Mark Martin but was for my son and son-in-law as well. They got to be on TV in a few of the Victory Lane shots standing right behind Mark Martin. They were in the group wearing the MBNA hats and shirts and had been working Dover for the entire weekend. I know it will take my son about a week to come down off of the high from seeing so many racers up close and personal. :)
Mark must have put some time release Viagara in the tank this time.......a little R+D works wonders.

lolololol.....
73 races between wins???
Goodness,
With time release like that it will be 2006 before he wins again....
Sorry Mr Kahne!!!

And across the pond, on the racing circuit....
Cora Schumacher criticised after race debut
Cora Schumacher has been told her boob job isn't doing her any favours in the world of female motorsport.
The remarks came from former racing driver Ellen Lohr, who now works as a commentator for a television channel.
The 27-year-old wife of Formula 1 star Ralf, came 13th and 18th in two Mini Cooper races at the weekend, says Bild.
But Lohr says her attempts at driving aren't doing the sport any good.
"No real driver would take an additional twice 400 grams of extra weight along in the car", she said hinting at Cora's breasts.
"She's not a pro, she has no experience. If she gets into a crash, her breasts might burst. I don't know if that's what she wants," added Lohr.
-------------------------------
I think that Ms. Lohr is a little jealous!!
Think of the sponsorships....
Playtex, Victoria's Secret, Frederick's of Hollywood.......
You're forgetting the sponsor shawna robinson was supposed to have........Loveable Lingerei

Where is this thread going??;)
Richard,
You're the one who brought up the only silicone on the track that isn't in a gasket.
This thread is going to have to go up to get into the gutter shortly

Lol,
AHA!! Like crying in baseball-everyone knows there's no gutters in NASCAR!!!;)
Like my sister always says:
Shouldn't Dick Trickle drive the Viagra car?
  :D

Kimmy!!
;) :D
We get our sense of humor from our dad! :D
Dick Trickle.....the only driver I've ever seen take himself out of a race.......Leading the Pepsi 400, only 10 or so laps to go, and he spun himself out on the backstretch. No one near him, no blown tire, just dick against Daytona International speedway.........and the speedway won.
Good grief!
Doesn't Jeff ever take a vacation???
:p
----------------------
I loved the end of the Busch race on Sat night.....
Hornaday burned a #2 on the front stretch after the race and the announcers missed it!
------------------------------
And some bad news from the NHRA....
http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/news/s...rtnersite=espn
Very sad indeed, Richard
Rest In Peace, Darrell Russell
Robin :(
I missed the race yesterday...
What in the world was Stewart thinking?
What was the pit crew thinking??
I went to a NASCAR race and a boxing match broke out!
Stewart's thoughts? = WIN! (At Any Cost!) :mad:Quote:

Pit Crews ??
They're considering taking up Hockey in the Off-Season!
:p
Shame on the whole bunch!
What happened yesterday is just one more reason why I don't like Tony Stewart!!
Okay, I admit I am a Tony fan, but I also admit Tony has a bad temper.
That being said, I didn't see that he obviously did anything to try and put Kasey in the wall. He says Kasey slowed down, Kasey says no. The truth? Who knows. But when that many drivers are running that close, there is always a little bumping. That's racing folks. I have seen many others put someone into the wall much more obviously and there hasn't been the controversy...Dale Sr made a living of it and Gordon has done it too. I don't think it would have gotten near the reaction is say Michael Waltrip bummed Kasey. JMHO
On another note, I went to the truck series race in Kentucky Saturday night. It was awesome!! I'll try and upload picctures tonight...
There was more than "a little bumping" from Stewart. The nose of Stewarts car was under Kahne's rear bumper for (in racinig terms, anyway) a long time, and Stewart made no effort to slow down at all. Given NASCAR's continued inconsitency lately, I doubt Stewart will even get a call from helton about it, never mind a suspension.
On an up note, DAMN Mark was fast (until the engine blew), and watching a race without DW's inane comments was a true pleasure.
You mean you don't yell "Boogity, boogity, boogity!" when the light turns green?Quote:

THAT's what was missing!
Between the "boogity boogity boogity" and non stop flag to flag coverage of DE Jr, I'm glad Fox is done for the year and hope ESPN bids for the next contract.

I think there is 4 more years of Boogity, Boogity, Boogity in our future!
I read somewhere that the split season will go on for that long.
Too bad the IRL doesn't really pick up until about June.......
Time to do what I do with football games. Turn on the TV, Mute the announcers, and put on the radio broadcast. I really can't stand 4 more years of DW's commentary.
Just checked-
Fox' contract expires in '08!!
At least you HAVE a football team!:)
I am ready for a blitz, bomb and a few handoffs......I guess I'll have to wait for a wardrobe malfunction until January???
I promise I won't sing, "Loose wheel, you picked a fine time to leave me now" ;) :o

The *watch* TV and *listen* to Radio IS a good solution!
Gets a mite Con-Fuzin when they do commercials or pit interviews
"out of sequence" -
but the radio commercials *look* neat at 200 mph!
As for "DW" vrs the Current Crowd...
they ALL have their trying moments!
"boogity - boogity - - boogity"
And then they wanna "talk" to some poor driver half a lap before the Start!
"Quit BOTHERIN me, you Sillie TWIT - I'm tryin to RACE!"
:D
God,
Even tho I am not a huge Dale Earnhardt JR. fan, thanks for taking care of him this past Sunday. I know all his fans out there wish him a speedy recovery and so do I.
And thank you for inventing Nomex.
Amen.
I'll second that.Quote:

NASCAR Is planing on changing the name of the
Brickyard 400 to the Jeff Gordon 400.
They should give Gordon the trophy and skip that race on the schedule.;)
While we're praying, I know Mark Martin' sponsor is Viagra, but can we pray for just a little teensy weensy bit of luck for him? Between the grenading engines, blowed tahrs, and just them bad racin deals, you'd never know he was actually running pretty well in almost every race.
DONE!!Quote:

I never thought I'd be cheering for him to just MAKE 10th in the points....
I will be saying my prayers for Martin!
Robin :)
Congrats to Tony Stewart.
He won!!
Even tho he had an 'accident' in his car!
:D ;)
I felt so bad for him. My son and son-in-law said no wonder he was driving so fast. :p The only thing worse than having something like that happen is having it happen in front of the whole world. :o :(Quote:
