I sure hope those dogs are released from impound pretty soon. That awful, horrible woman just continues to harass those dogs....now making them stay at the shelter when there are people out there waiting to take them into their homes. :(

I didn't read all of the posts on this thread, but, is there any way to get a puppy adopted to someone here in the Dallas/Forth Worth area? I have a friend that may be interested. Please let me know! Thanks!
Molly, the dogs have been released from impound. Have you talked to Linda about getting the pup for Kim yet? Now is the time.
Our rescue has called and offered our help (we are now DOA licensed), but apparently they do not want it. :(
I'll let Kim know and I told Susan too, so if her parents are still interested they can call. Thanks for the update!!! I'll bet most of the dogs will be adopted very quickly with all the pubicity that was generated. What happened to the demon seed McCoy?
She didn't get anything like what she deserves: three felony counts of of aggravated cruelty to animals because of the three dogs found dead on the property and 12 misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals. If she wanted the dogs back, she would have had to pay $98,000 for care at AWL.
I called AWL and they said to come on down if you have your app for adoption in already and they'll show you the dogs (still being held in their special area) or fill out an app when you get there. Rescue has already taken some out.
Be sure to tell Tammy to tell them to release that black dog she put a hold on, into adoption if she hasn't already done it. I would hate for that one to go unnoticed.
Let me know what you hear.
Curious to know (and I'm originally from Illinois but don't know) what laws if any, are to prevent her from getting another pet at all? And what kind of follow up will happen to make sure she doesn't?
Anyone?
Our rescue has two of the female (ages 1 and 3) Amboy dogs in our available foster homes. One more male is on hold for another of our fosters. There are about 25-30 dogs still available. AWL is keeping all the pups under one year old to adopt out. When more foster homes come available we will be able to pull more.
Great news Sue!! Leslie, I don't know what the laws are in IL, but in IN there aren't any laws that I know of that prevent them from owning again. I believe that there are judgements against people, but, no law on the books.
Well that's not good! Especially because I'll bet they don't have the staffing to continuously check on past animal owners ; even if the court does say "no more pets for you for one year" or whatever. Who can keep checking? It would be easy to get away with. Well, they can only do so much, I know... Thanks for info mugsy!
