As far as I know Juke Joint Jopseph will be coming home Today with a case of A/D , his Medications and 11 missing teeth!!
And theres a Herbed Chicken dea at Metros so he will have his favorite Chicken to eat.

I'm glad to hear that everything went well and that he'll be coming home soon.:) It's also great that your vet will allow you to pay over a 6 month period of time. I hope he'll continue to do well. I'll continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers.:)

My Vet has another emergency so Juke Joint Joseph will not be home until Monday. That means hes going to miss the Chicken Deal from Metros , so I have a good 5 piece KFC Deal , so he will have Chicken from the Colenol Tuesday!!
My Vet Dr Maraslaes says that Joseph loves his Fis Oil, Thank You Catty 1
and looks to have put on weight.
He didnt even mind his complimentary Cat Bath!!!
Will he ever look good at his home coming, I hear a Certain Lady from California will here here at the WELCOME HOME JOEY PARTY!!!
That will make him so very happy!!

Josephs home, but oddly hes not eating all that much!
He sorts of licks at his dinner and then stops:confused:
They said he was eating up a storm at the Vets!!:confused:
Maybe its the long car ride home that upset him, but it worries me when his old favorites dont work on him.
Maybe after a few days and his mouth feels better, than he will eat again.

I will try to get some Hills Post Operative, ne likes that better than A/D!

He ate a bit better this morning after I put some Ultra Milk on top of the Pro Plan Kitten and then blended the bowl for 30 seconds.:cool::cool::cool:
I will try fish oil, and hopefully PetsMart will have a sale so I can buy some of that Gravy to perk up Josephs appetite.:):):)
It was a Big Vet Bill, but I forgot that when My Joseph curled beside me last night and puurrred that he was glad that he was home.:love::love::love:

Gary, have you tried giving him smaller portions in a shallow bowl, that might work.

He ate the gravy in the TV Dinner tray and the bits of Beef that were left.

P.S. from Cassie: Joseph, please have your dad ask the veterinarian if you may have baby food chicken puree. Our vet said only in small amounts, about a tablespoon at a time, because it can sometimes be constipating to a kitty. I have found that it makes her stools softer (looser), though. But it might be easy on the mouth for you. PURRRRRRRR

My Poor Old Fellow had a realpse this morning, he turned down the Fancy Feast Chicken Pate with a touch of milk.
I am going to ask the AWA to get My Dear Old Friend some Medical Recuperative Canned, that should help.
He drank his Ulra Mik, so that will help.

Oh dear - that isn't good news :(

When my RB Cally wouldn't/couldn't eat I bought her some liquid food from the vet or liquidised her own food and literally fed it to her off a spoon.

Hope Joseph is just having an off day and picks up again real soon :love:

:( Oh I hope not Uncle Gary.. I would have thought with stitchss they would have him on lig meds anyway.. Uncle Gary do you have some Beef or Chicken Soup?? If so give him a bowl of that for the juices.. This will keep him from dehy.. I sure hope the tech comes over soon.. Shes briniging some A/D and they said that they would slip in a few extra cans on the house.
In the old days that would have been automatic after a large Vet Bill, but I guess that I am in their bad book by paying in installments.
Its not as if I am a stranger and I am good for the money.

After all I asked first, maybe thats why the bill was not adjusted as it normally was :(

Gary are the pills antibiotics by any chance, if so you could ask if they will take them back and give Joseph a two week injection, that is what i always do for my cats these days, especially if they have a sore mouth, you don't want to be pilling a cat with a sore mouth, and here it works out slightly cheaper, no hassle for you and so much easier on your cat, ask about it.

My Josephs going back in as he has food actually stuck in his mouth, and there are two spots where his gums are bleeding.
They said he was eating at the Vets , yet he couldnt eat Pates that were mushed and hit with a blender!:confused:
To fight the chance of infections and on the side of caution My Josephs going back.
