Dear Lut
I have been so wrapped up with work that I have only just seen this thread. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mum, you have told me so much about her. She was a lovely lady and will be much missed by you all.

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. My mom has been gone for 14 years now. I understand how you feel. When a parent dies especially a mom no matter what your age is you always feel like a seven year old who just wants their mommy. It does get better I promise you that. Hold on to the happy memories, you will find yourself laughing through your tears.
Your mom is an angle now, always with you. I talk to mine all the time, especially when I plant flowers, she loved to garden as do I. I will be outside planting marigolds and snapdragons talking up a storm. "Mom do you think the pink should go next to the yellow or the white"? The neighbors must think I am a crazy lady but I know she is right there in that flower bed with me. Sending you a hug and many prayeres, Monica

Lut, it's a really good picture of your mom! Gosh, it looks so much lighther here. If I'd had more time, I could have worked more on it. Hope it will print OK! :)

I am really sorry Lut. Even though she had lived a long life, it never seems long enough when it is your mother. Please accept my sympathies :(
All letters with the death announcement are mailed now, and the rememberance cards are ready. I will try to post one of this as so as I have one.
3 more nights before mom's funeral now:(
Tomorrow at 5.50 pm my mom will be laid ("layed"???) in her coffin:(:(:(. I hope I can be strong for my dad....!
This is so hard to cope with.......
A part of you and each of your family will go with her, Lut.
And that way, she will not be alone.:love:

UPDATE
It is Sunday 21st now. Mom's funenal was yesterday.
All went well. But it was the hardest day in my life so far.....:(!! Seeing her coffin, seing her picture, seeing my dad cry so much and so hard, it made the service in church extremely hard :(.
It was a beautiful service!
- The priest was my dad's brother, who is a catolic priest.
- I read the first reading from the Holy Bible.
- Then there was a lady, a soprano, who sang 6 beautiful songs, such as "Memory" (from Cats), Pié Jesu (Webber), Ave Maria (Gunod), Panis Angelicus. This was sooo beautiful!!
These 2 pics are her remembrance card. Everybody in church got 1 card. I am also showing the inner side, because lots of people don't understand what's in there. I know it's in Dutch, but you get the general idea.

Yet another beautiful tribute to your loving mother. Years from now, you'll still take out this printed tribute and look at it w/fondness and love and the pain will be lessened each time. Peace to you always......:love:
