Good-bye Bowser. Yours was one of the best, most heartwarming stories every to be on PetTalk.
Although we never met I had a special place for you in my heart. Godspeed silly boy....and my thoughts go out to your New Dad in his loss.
Phred...{{{{hugs}}}}
For all the prayers you have sent to others and for others - may they be returned to you a thousand times over, bringing you some peace in the midst of your pain.
Bowser was a lucky, funny, much-beloved boy.
Ya done good, Paw. :)
Phred, I'm so sorry to hear about Bowser's passing.:( You gave him a wonderful home, loved him, and gave him the care that he needed. You'll meet again some day. RIP sweet boy.:(
Godspeed to the bridge Bowser Man! Yours was a story that great movies are made from. You will forever be in our hearts.
Thank You Phred, Cinder, Smoke, and Boots for sharing him with us while he was here. HUGS to all of you at this difficult time.
Phred, I am sobbing here. This is the first post I saw after coming home from the hospital today. I'm so sorry. I loved that sweet old boy :( He had such a great life and was so lucky to spend his last years with you and your furcrew. My heart is breaking. Now I know why I was so sad in the hospital on that day. :( :( :(
Rest in Peace Sweet Bowser :( Play hard at the bridge sweetheart :(
Your letter was bittersweet. I'm so thankful that Bowser got to say goodbye at home. I know he loves you lots for doing all you did for him. Tomorrow will be hard but I hope you can find some happiness, too. The RB dogs can have their own Memorial day party with Bowser as the special guest of honor.
That's ok. When my siblings died my mom made birthday cakes for them on their birthdays. Only the first year, I don't know if she forgot or what. But it was really hard.Quote:

Val, what a lovely thought *kiss hug*
Oh my. Your photo tribute to Bowser, and the letters written by *him, Cinder and Smoke and Boots, and you were just heartwrenching. I didn't know much about Bowser's past, and he was just so lucky to found and to live out the rest of his life with you and your gang on the ranch. He had such a sweet face and loving eyes.
Play hard at the Bridge, Bowser. Hope you get to meet some of my childhood dogs, Sam, Max and Maya, who were all gorgeous shepherds like you!
Rest easy Bowser...know you will be missed
I just want to make another post because my first one was too vague.
I read the story of Bowser and Phred to. It was around the time I first joined...and that story is what hit the nail on the head for me. I don't exactly know if I would have joined PT if not for that story. It portrayed the true loving, kind spirit this forum truly has. If not for you, "New Dad", who knows what would have happened to Bowser. Although his time with you was short, you let him live his golden years out in complete happiness and he was very grateful.
I am again so sorry for you loss.
RIP sweet boy, and please show your Daddy a sign that you're OK.
:( Hugs to you, Phred. What a beautiful tribute you have written for a special dog. I remember reading the story of how Bowser came to live with you, and how touched I was with your compassion for a dog you'd never even met. He had a wonderful two years with you and I'm sure he is smiling down from the RB over you, Smokey, Cinder, and Boots.
Hugs to you, too, Tonya, on the loss of your childhood friend. Find comfort in knowing he was loved up to the very end, by not only his immediate family, but by people all over the world.
RIP Bowser, play hard at the RB and say hello to my Rose - she'll be sure to meet you.
What a heartfelt, beautiful tribute to Bowser.
Phred, thank you for taking in this dear boy and giving him the best last few years of his life.
Rest in Peace Dear Bowser and have fun up there on the RB.

I am so sorry to hear Bowser's time had come. His story will be remembered forever.
Thank you Phred for taking care of him.
Phred, I'm so sorry to hear of Bowser's passing. I remember his rescue and all the adventures with you and the crew. I always thought he had found the best home, with the 'bestest ever' family.
He may have only had two years with you, but they were great years. I know he took a part of your heart with him. You went the extra mile (OK, it was many miles!) to give him a new life. I'm sure he knew and appreciated it.
Hugs to you and Zippy Cat for your loss. I truly understand your pain.
Mary

Rest well Bowser. I hope you had a good trip "home". I hope you meet Lady, and she can show ya around a bit. Run and play hard on the endless bridge. You will be missed.
I am so sorry. RIP Bowser.
Thank you for sharing his heartwarming story with us when he came to live with you and his tribute.
Aw, Bowser my sweet friend, I'm sorry! I just now saw this. I've not been on Pet Talk much lately because I've been pretty sick myself.
You touched so many of us with your heart warming story! You are one of my favorites!!! Please give all my furry ones at the bridge a nose rub for me, ok!
Please, know you will be missed so much by your New Dad and Zippy-Kat and all who came to know you. What an honor for us to share these last years with you!!!
All in all, the hand of someone you love on your head as you fall asleep and drift to the bridge is a good way to go to the bridge if you have to go. I hope my journey will be so peaceful when the day comes. I look foreward to meeting you there some day!!! Play in peace until then sweetie!

**Love** from New Dad (aka da Bus Driver), Cinder & Smokey
:) Bowser's album is just wonderful, Phred! You have a lot of great pictures of him with the smokemutts I've never seen before. I could just see his fluffy tail wagging away while I was looking through them! I like to think he & Sherman are hanging around together up at the Bridge, keeping each other company- talking 'bout husky hikes, pic-nics, and hot dogs - till the rest of us get there. What a couple of sweet fluffy boys!
