Fort Worth - Fort Wayne, well D'oh :o silly me! I'll P.M. Lizbud and see if I can fly in a day or so early. How long a drive from Indianapolis to Findlay? I'll Mapquest it :) Oh Staci I would love to see you again as well!! Thanks Karen.
The way I drive, Indy to Findlay is about 3 hours, if I remember correctly.
Sounds awesome! Wish I could go. That's the area around by birthday.
doesn't quite go to Sunday but Saturday is partly cloudy -
START THE SUNSHINE DANCE! :)
Well..... I thought I was sure I couldn't come to the park... but things may be changing!!
My plans (may have) fell through for Memorial Day weekend and Sierra and I may be able to come to the park after all.
But.. :( I need to get her into the vet to get her shots (I only vaccinate every 3 years) and I can't get in until 8:30am Tuesday morning (the 22nd).
I think there's about an ice cubes chance in h*ll that I'll be able to get a registration by next weekend.
Has anyone here had to ask (BEG) the park to put a rush on a doggie permit??
Phred... Amy... Diana... anyone have any contacts that could pull a big favor if need be??
Pass da ICE, please! http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/biggrin.gifQuote:

* Go to the Application Page and Print it out (BOTH Sides) and Fill it Out.
Form = http://www.hancockparks.com/pdf/DogParkApplication.pdf
* Add a NOTE saying what you said above, and PROMISE to FAX them a copy of the
Vet's report/receipt on next Tuesday.
* Ask 'em to FAX you a letter or note or receipt stating that you HAVE a DP Permit for 2007
* Be sure to give 'em a Return FAX number that will be answered all week ...
no tellin what day they might FAX back to you.
* Make out & SEND your Check for $10.00 with the Application & Note ...
(Remember - they want your $ Money!)
*Try to mail the stuff TODAY ... then follow up with a Phone Call after you
FAX the Vet's shot record on Tuesday.
* Come Tuesday, FAX another Copy of the Application and your original note;
AND the Vet's Shot Record AND a copy of the Rabies Vaccination.
BRING A COPY of Everything with you on Sunday ... even if you don't get a note back,
I doubt the Cops will drag you away in handcuffs if you have a copy of everything.
In years past, they've "hand delivered" passes for Kay via the Park Rangers
on Picnic Day ... but there are no Rangers on duty anymore, just Sheriff Deputies.
Note: Don't "call" 'em NOW ... they'll have time to think of a dozen reasons to say http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/eek.gif NO!
WAIT till after you've sent the Application and Check, and FAXED the Vet's Stuff ...
THEN call 'em to "verify they got everything". http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/tongue.gif
The two "Girls" to arrange things with:

#2 = Margie Statler, Office Manager

well the main question is.....IF I flied my doggies with me (after clearing out all the requirements for it) I could send the application and money and all, but would I have to send them like 3 months ahead so they can get it on time?, will they ever ship me the permit? will they even give me one being from other country?..... what about if our "rabies" law is different..... I mean we have rabies campaing every year and my girls get their shot if not every year one yes one donīt..... the rest of the shots are just given as puppies (I donīt over vaccinate)......and what if I do my own shots...... for rabies only if you go to a vet office they MAY give you a license proving so, but if you got to free campaings they just give you a paper stating you did (and this is goverment given)...... and besides we even have different types of vaccines than the ones in the states.......different "cepas" (not sure translation of that  )
Iīm not going this year but maybe I can plan for the next one with more time and knowledge
I got to *thinkin* 'bout this, an *thunk* maybe I otta <open> the Permit Envelope. :pQuote:

Matter of Fact ... I sent an EXTRA $10.00 as a "Donation" for "Dog Park Improvements" ...
which was

* apparently NOT very much appreciated
Maybe I shudda marked it "for the Baggie Fund".
:p
Oh well ... maybe they're too busy to say "Thanks".
:(
Isabell, maybe if you sent your application through one of us - and we could arrange to meet you and the doggies at the park with your permit, if you and the doggies are able to make it. I am not sure what your faxing capabilities are, but I know by now that we wouldn't rely on the Mexican postal system, seeing how few cards that were mailed from the US got to you!
Well ... we'd all Love to see you in Ohio ...Quote:

It might be more satisfying (and a darn lot CHEAPER) to round up some of the
SOUTHERN USA Pet Talkers and hold a Gathurin "down South".
Jump on the Internet and see how much the round-trip Airfare would be ...
you'd be flying into Toledo, or Columbus, Ohio as first choices;
and Cincinnati, or Cleveland, Ohio as second choices.
Everything else can be arranged with proper planning.

I wish i could come but my dad and mom would have to come and i live WAY over here in georgia so if you hold one closer sometime i might just show up.
Hey FurKids ~
Got any Special Requests for Dawg Park Treets?
Or more to the Point - do you have any "Restrictions" -
or stuff you're NOT "supposed" to eat?? http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/eek.gif
We're pretty sure lil Chipper hazza "short list" of acceptable treets ...
AnyBody ELSE need a special diet or treet?
Bowser "was" supposed to be on a super-restricted diet - Nuffin but Hills "s/d" inna kan ...
but since he went onna Hunger Strike about a week ago ...
Dad gives him ANYthing he'll even take a couple bytes of!
Last Sona-Gram sed that pesky "bladder stone" was STILL in there ...
so the "stone disolvin" "Steak-inna-Kan" dint seem to be doin much disolvin! http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/tongue.gif
An now Bowz doesn't think it tasts like "steak" anymore ...
he'll munch a few pieces iffin it's wrappen inna Salami Slice http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/rolleyes.gif ...
but "plain steak" wedges don't have much appeal.
So put Bowz down fur "Anything is Fine" ... he's back to bein Our kinda Dawg!
Chip ~
What's your Favorite (that your Mom approves of) ??
http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/biggrin.gif
Anything edible -- and the Hoodlums will eat it!! Heck, it doesn't even have to be edible :o They're not too picky ;)
We'll bake up a plate of doggie carob-chip cookies as a special treat! Sherman's on a diet, (it ain't just "all fluff" anymore ;) ), but we'll look the other way for this special occasion.
I wish I wasn't so far away so I could come! I hope everyone has a great time! :D I will be looking forward to pictures. :)
OK, the other night i was whining that we couldn't go to this... and boy did i see the wheels turning in S.O.'s head! Yay! We might get to come, but i doubt it. Still... it's changed from no to a possibility!!! :D (I still have to get over my cold though :( )
No, Koli doesn't get to come because she is a big bully and doesn't remember to keep her manners. She only lets bigger bullies tell her no.
So, are there any fees for the hyooomans? Is it too late. All I've seen is the dog registration info. I thought i asked about this before, but now i can't find it.
IF we do come I'd like to bring Wysong cat treats for the pooches. Is there anyone that would have a problem with these?
For the two leggers I'd like to bring pretzels that are made in Essexville. They are DELICIOUS!
if you aren't bringing a pupper - there's no fee -
unless you count GAS! ;)
homemade pretzels - sounds nummy!
I haven't figgered out what I'm bringing yet.....
Thanks... and that gas is a killer.
Home made? I wish i could make them and have them be that tasty! http://www.americangourmetpretzel.com/ It is a tiny little town though that the factory is in. Most people don't even know that we have a snack company in the area since Made Rite moved out of Bay City.

I hate to deny him because he loves all food so would it be better to leave him at home or bring him. I will probably leave the girls at home. Never know who Dazzi will decide to dislike.
Angie, if you let the park office know and me too, I could pick up your pass any day but Friday this week. I did that for Lobdob (Debbie) last year if you go ahead and fax the information.
Looking forward to Sunday and seeing everyone!
Diana
Poor Snoopy - but controlling who gets what treat can be pretty hard in the dog mob scene that happens when a treat containers gets opened - especially with the two spotty boys!
So looking forward to Sunday!
we will definately miss Snoopy but making him sick/sicker is unacceptable so he gets to chill out @ home....but you will have to make sure that give him lots of kisses and hugs from us...
You read our minds. :DQuote:

We've had success with Solid Gold, Zuke's Mini Naturals, Old Mother Hubbard, My Doggy Bites, and Wellness brands. :)
Things that are no-no's are treats that are loaded with preservatives and/or fillers. Things like Beggin' Strips, ect. will make him one sick puppy.
We'll be bringing treats he can digest, so even if no one else has the above mentioned stuff, he won't go without. ;) :)
Awwww, Mom :(Quote:

And one of his FurBuddies offering to "share a treet" with him is a real possibility.
Not worth the health risk for a romp with friends.
Maybe if we decide to "camp over" in the Rent-a-Pillow place on Sunday night,
we could have a more controlled mini-meet at the Park on Monday.
That might be a good idea,Phred. As of now, we don't have any plans for Monday.
well I actualy thought about the big $$ if bringing the pups (not this time but another one) but as a hypothetical situation would it be possible? ..... the all pass thing I could do as Karen mentioned getting it through someone else.... but the shots and all would they be valid there? (seeing they are different as I mentioned)......I can get a vet to sign me a vaccine record, but what if I do them myself?...
I soooo need to check on plane fares to get an idea how much to save for the next one ;)
please big hugs to all the doggies and hoomans attending.....
Oh Pat... LMAO!!Quote:

I hope you don't have to go too far out of your way to do this! I wouldn't want you running all over to do this for me.
