I had to do this last time but can someone give me his real name, etc in a pm so I can email him?
Glad to hear things went well today and the the patient is awake and complaining!!! Wouldn't want it any other way!
I'm talking to him now! The weight is gone, but he is still waiting to be allowed loose.
I'm appreciate the progress reports that have been posted on this thread!!!
Phred, You're one in a Million!!! I'm holding you in my thoughts and prayers !!!!
so glad that Mr. Bear was with you~~~ ;) {{carefully hugs Phred}}}}}

HI Phred!!!! Hope you get sprung soon!!! :D
Now, now, he is hoping to get sprung tomorrow, we don't want him going home TOO early, remember, he just had an auxilliary ticker-enhancer installed, gotta make sure it's not only gonna stay put, but do its job.
What he got does defibrillation and pacing, it's not a 3-lead one.
He and Mr. Bear were headed out for a walk after we got off the phone, he had been ordered for an extra 2 hours of bed rest after he weight - which was 5 pounds but felt like 50, he says, was taken off. As we spoke, he two hours were up, so he was looking forward to being allowed to walk.
That's ok. We don't want him sprung too soon. Glad he has Mr. Bear to keep him company though! :D
I wonder what the 5 lb. weight was for? JoJoe had his defribbulator "installed" two weeks ago, they never put a weight put on him. JoJoe says he & Phred are both bionic now.
Thinking of you and praying hard for a speedy recovery, Toots! Lots of hugs and kisses!
Thanks to Karen for reporting in. Every bit of progress is a God send that we've been praying for, and I for one am glad that they are not kicking him out the door without a bit of followup. Gee, he's had enough neglect from the medical profession. That said, I am eager to see one of the pups pawing out their observations on having him back at the ranch and any tid bits he might want to relate about his adventures in the Big House that Randi pictured here.
I have been reading this thread and just not knowing what to say so didn't feel up to a reply until now. I am hoping that his ticker-enhancer will make him feel like a brand new man. I know a couple of pups and one lil ole kitty who are going to be real glad to see their Papa come home. Phred you take care and follow Doc's orders to the letter. My very best wishes to you for a speedy recovery. ((((hugs))))
You're still in my thoughts and prayers all the time, Phred. Hurry up and get well. We miss you and need you!! Daisy weighs around five pounds. When she lays on my chest, it feels like a Rottie ;) I can relate!! :)
Phred, you are still in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you get better real soon and come home to those two pups and that sweet little kitty. I know they are looking forward to seeing you real soon.
I will continue to keep you in my prayers, keep sending good thoughts your way.
Hugs,
Willie
Thank-You Karen for posting the type of pace maker that Phred received. I'm going to have to look this up~(not a 3 lead one?)
My Father-in-law has a pacemaker with 3 lead wires, and one of my cousins has went from having only a defibrillater to having a pace maker added.
Thank-You ~ Everyone~ For giving up dates on this" Phred " Thread!!!!!
My thoughts are with you Phred!
Thanks Karen and Staci for the Updates!
Any news on the patient today?
funny - I was on the phone with the patient when you posted this! :pQuote:

if all goes well he will hopefully be posting in and updating everyone tonite.
He said to tell everyone "hi"!
:D I'm sure he will feel lots better when he and Mr. Bear are home!!! :D
Phred, our prayers continue. Hang tough, and don't try to do too much, too soon, my friend!!!! :)
We love you!

So he is being sprung today....I'm confoozled, or maybe it's just the drugs I'm taking.
Did he actually have the pacemaker put it or was this visit just prep for that?? I thought to have a pacemaker put in that he would be in the hospital for alot longer. Sorry, but my mind is totally boggled right now. Thanks :o
They actually put it in. The surgery for that procedures takes less than 30 minutes. (I think JoJoe's was 20-25 minutes) Patients are required to stay overnight by law, our cardiologist said he thinks this will become an out-patient procedure before long.Quote:

Just got off the phone with Phred. He wanted everyone to know he is still alive and kicking. Or was that complaining. He wants to go home but the doctor hasn't been in- he's hoping she will come in soon and spring him. I asked him if he was driving himself home and he said you can't do that - it's against the rules and I said and what does that have to do with you. Got a chuckle out of him. He is using his cell phone and the nurse pops in once in awhile and tells him he isn't suppose to be using it.
He sounds pretty good - his sense of humor is still in great form - I just hope this will help him feel better. He has been feeling bad for a very long time. Time to get better!
Thanks so much to everyone who has talked to Phred for your updates.
It wouldn't be the same without Phred's brand of Phun. Let's just hope that his future is philled with phun breathing easier and feeling much better.
We love you Phred!
Thanks for the updates! I am glad to hear that Phred will soon be heading home to Boots and the Prayer Pups! (((hugs))) to you Phred!
I'm so grateful for the up dates on the Phred Thread!!!!!
I've had him on my mind so often today!!! I sure do hope that when he gets back to Boots and The Prayer Pups that he remembers to take it easy!!!
Prayers and Good Thoughts Continue from Michigan!!! :o
Thanks for all the updates on Phred's progress. I don't really understand
all the medical stuff, but I'm glad to see he has his sense of humor back.
This sure has been a long haul for Phred. He certainly deserves to feel more
human again. Take it easy fella, and just take things a day at at a time.My
prayers continue for a complete recovery.
Here's hoping you are home soon, Phred!!! Take it easy once you get home...let the pups take care of you for once :D
