Lol I don't really care one way or the other. It may be nice, one day when I have a boyfriend. But I don't really care. How did I spend me day? Cleaning, walking Major, practicing guitar, looking at cameras on the internet. Nothing special. :p

Its an excuse like Laura said to eat the wrong stuff and have fun :D I got hubby sharri's berries...not sure if they are nationwide or not, he brought me roses, and I got the kids each a bottle of good cologne, a hallmark hot pink teddy bear, some chocolates, I got my younger daughter these black poodle slippers that look like bubba they are totally cute and I got my older daughter a pedometer....yeah they got spoiled this year :D
I made a huge thing of shrimp for all of us for dinner.
Valentines day is relatively new in NZ, maybe been celebrated around five years now, it is only for sweethearts and wife's and husbands here, it is a big day for the retailer and some people go over board IMO, but it is a fun day all the same, and I say hey why not, if you want to celebrate it do, if not don't, i have had my disappointments on valentines day as my hubby is not the biggest on romance, and it just made me feel annoyed really, so i don't care to celebrate it really.,it puts too much expectations on people ..but i actually did get a card this year. :)
It's not a big thing here either but I did get a box of chocolates from the cat! :)
Well right now... i hate it. but that might change if i ever get a boy friend.. LOL
I don't really care about Valentine's Day. I'm not a big fan of spending money on flowers, candy and things. Justin and I didn't do anything special, we had supper and watched a little TV.

I say just go with the feelings, and if it happens to coincide with a holiday, or, it takes it up a notch (props to the big E), do it.
When I hear, "oh, it just is this, or, it is just that..." (referring to the commercial aspect of things) it makes me think- well, why choose NOT to do something that might bring a smile to someone's face, just to stick it to 'the man'? Doesn't make much sense to me.
In my family, Valentine's Day has ALWAYS been more about family love than about romantic love.....whoever says you need a romantic partner to celebrate love? Most of my cards came from and went to family, and always have.
i love it, but with my beau every day is valentines day.
This was my first time being able to celebrate Valentine's Day and I have to say I like it. It was not overly romantic- it was fun and simple, I enjoyed myself! He got me a giant bouquet of red lilies and white irisis, I made him a big batch of his favorite cookies. He has school (technical college) on Tuesday nights- since he wanted to spend time with me on Valentines Day I went with him to his school and he taught me to weld (majoring in welding). I thought it was great, definitely a unique way to celebrate Valentine's Day. Others might find it odd but we had a good time! After we got done welding, we went back to his house and he made me dinner while I played with Riley (his yellow labbie!!) and then watched a movie.
I can't complain one bit! :)
I voted "dont care"
Usually im not into it, because I have ALWAYS had a boyfriend, and it was just something else to dwell on, for what to get, etc. . .BUT THIS year, i didnt have a boyfriend, and at my school, the student coucil was selling the soda "CRUSH" to send to your crushes, or you could my a bag that had chocolate and stuff for your friend. Well, there are a few guys in my school, that sorta have a crush on me, but I didnt think I would get anything. But long behold. . I went to my locker during 3rd hour, and it was WIDE open. I looked on top, and there was a stuffed teddy bear, chocolates, hot chocolate, and a coffee mug!!! :D It made my day. It was from a guy that has a huge crush on me, and I had a blast. He is so sweet, but he is one of my best friends, and I want it to stay that way. I had a great day, he made my smile all day long . .. . :D
