Now this is just ridiculous!
They had a parade today in Downtown Pittsburgh today in celebration of the Steelers winning the Super Bowl. It lasted for about 2 1/2 hours. I think it was exciting for the town in general with over 40,000 people attending.
What I find ridiculous though is that a very large school district in the area actually cancelled classes for all students because of the parade. Their logic is that the majority of the kids would skip classes anyway. I personally think this was wrong. My son went to school and wanted to know why I wouldn't let him skip or why his school couldn't be cancelled. :eek:
