I could not think of the character Norton of the Honeymooners first name(ED), then just said, he came from the sewer, you have to call him NORTON. Then we adopted him!!
I like Pouncette, too. And I think her new owners should have kept her old name. Missiger is kind of unusual. I got that name from a movie.
I guess I like the stories of how the names came about.
Like, Marshall (found in a marsh)
Avon (ding dong! Avon calling)
Polly Paws (all those extra toesies!)
Seymour (my sister's cat). A stray that climbed in her window looking for warmth and food. She hoped to See More of him -- and she did! :D
Here's MarshallQuote:

My favorite pet talk kitty names are cute ones like Mookey, Fuzzy wuzzi, Bunnybutt etc..
Then there are those names that have a special meaning to me like Mimi, Willy and Poppy.
Does anybody remember the TV show "Newhart"? My sister once named three brother kittens Larry, Darryl, and Darryl.
One of our foster mothers got nine kittens dumped on her, so she named them after the planets.
Poor little Uranus. So much joking...
Blaze's full name is Blazing Fireball of Death lol
We also have a Japanese named cat: Yoshi.Quote:

What mouthfulls!!!! I name i think particularly beautiful for a queen cat is Trefleur:)
I had an incredibly tiny black kitty some years back. She never grew any larger than the size of an 8-10 week old kitten although she was close to a year old when she left for RB. My husband named her "Molecule" and it was so fitting. (I called her Molly for short). Can't say much for some of the other names hubby has picked...he wanted to name our last dog "Blended". No way on that one, but we finally agreed on Spencer. ;)
And A Cat that has gone to a new Furr Ever Home,Ragnar Gustafson, named after the Heroic Cat,in the Gabriel King Novels.
