I'm 3/4 Irish and 1/4 Cuban...interesting mixture. ;)
I really don't know too much other than I've got German and Cherokee Indian. Also, I'm related to Jesse James. He was my dad's (don't know how many greats) uncle.
All my Grandparents were from Poland. So I guess I'm Polish American????
:D
My father's parents came from Slovenia. My mother's family has been in this country since before the Revolutionary War -- so we can say...Northern European for that side?
Let's see...I'm about 1/4 German, 1/4 French, 1/16 Potawatomie Indian (;)), about 1/8 Irish, and all the rest under "other" is various. So I'm all mutt too!;) (unlike my dog........) lol:D
My Father's family came over with the Mayflower and my mothers family was 1/2 Scotch 1/2 Irish. So that makes me a mutt.
I think I'm 1/2 Danish, 1/4 Dutch and 1/4 English.
My mom's side came from Denmark and my dad's from Germany with a little of everything mixed in...I am a Mutt!
Italian, mostly. My dad may have some Spanish in him though. :)
I am a full blooded Scot,(no bitzer here lol) living in Kiwiland all my life bar six months, but my heritage is very important to me and I was brought up very much with the Scottish Dialect, music, sayings, etc etc.:)
I have descendents from the Mayflower as well...and am English, Irish, French, Swedish, Scottish, and one other ingredient that I can't recall. :o Another all American Mutt! :D
I don't know about percentages but I do know that I have a lot of Mexican and Italian other than that I'm not sure...
My friends and I refer to ourselves as half breeds :p
I notice a few people mention the Mayflower. It's funny but only recently have Australians felt comfortable with mentioning that they were related to a First Fleeter, the majority of the First Fleet being convicts of course. People would deny their heritage with their dyinbg breath that admit they were related to a convict. Some of those very same convicts not only became pillars of society, but helped shaped the country to what it is today, and fortunately I feel, nowadays people wear there "First Fleet convict" tag very proudly. History can be a facsinating thing. Our familys ultimate ancestor (as far back as we've been able to go) was eventually beheaded by the Duke of Cumberland, for fighting alongside the Jacobites. He had his head stuck on a pike evidently.
Mostly Italian, Irish, German, and British...
My grandpa is Italian.. his parents came here in the 1900s from Italy.. my grandma was Irish.. so her parents came from Ireland.. I think it's pretty cool that I'm part Irish.. cause I would LOVE to visit Ireland someday, Italy too as well. :)
On my dad's side, a relative fought in the Civil War - as one of the Ohio Volunteers.. So I'm thinking my dad's side has been here since the 1800s..
On my father's side, my grandfather was Irish and my grandmother was born and grew up in Dundee, Scotland.
As for Mom's side of the family, I'm second generation from Poland.
