Hello.
mama seems very well this morning.
she sucked all the juice out of a can of friskies shredded turkey, & then covered the bowl up w/stuffed animals(not real)until we gave her the real deal- fancy feast fish & shrimp-which she devoured.
thank you very much for all the links, payitforward.
I called several shelters last night & will be contacting them today.
I did talk to several vets yesterday & listened to all their opinions.
I hope that the original title of my thread & what I said about not being able to afford the U of M didn't make people think that we're looking for a handout. I didn't mean that. I just needed & need some emotional & moral support-which I definitely got.
My wife & I both thank you all.
Yeah, mamakat seems fine this morn. She is interested in her surroundings. She has had a tough life being a stray. She will be spayed soon. I hope she stays with us. She deserves to be spoiled. My wife & I do excel at spoiling katz.
I'll keep you all updated.

Please help
If you haven't already, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check out those links!!!!!!!!!! There's as shelter here in the Trenton area that does NOT put cats down ever. A few months back the local newspaper did a feature article on this place. From the pictures, the place is beautiful with everything a kitty could hope for. Don't let mommy suffer needlessly, call a vet, under these circumstances I'd think any decent vet would work with you as far as fees. Keep us posted?

mamakat is doing well.
She is going to vet at 8:00 in the morn.
She does not need a shelter because she has a home with us.
She does need a new name because we already have a mamakat.
She is still eating all the wet food we give her, plus we put a bit of water in w/it in case she's not drinking.
she cleans the bowl.
She just polluted her litter box so she has clean litter.
She is very very loved.
She is worried over, & she will be spoiled just as soon as she allows us to spoil her.

Glad to hear she isn't acting distressed at all, and she's seeing the vet in the A.M. If they are planning on tranquing her, I hope they follow through with the spay providing she's got no kittens besides the stillborn one. It would be a shame to knock her out and not do the surgery at the same time. ;) Hope she gets a clean bill of health, and learns to trust and love you & your family. Keep us posted. ;)

Waiting for the uppie date!

Anyone else worried besides me? I've been checking off and on all day for an update and would like to believe that no news is good news, but in this case I am not that confident.
I hope is well!!
-
very concerned actually. If there is nothing later this evening I am seriously thinking about calling the cell number that was given just to check in and see how mamakat is.
-
I'm concerned as well, but jomama was getting quite a bit of hostility here, and may well have been scared off. Certainly doesn't hurt to call the # and let us all know that things are (hopefully) OK with Mamakat. ;) OOPs...edit She DOES need a name, as there's already a resident "Mamakat". We need a description too...and then on with thinking caps. "Lola"?

Please help
I just got in from work. Mamakat has been on my mind all day. Two of my animal loving co-workers joined in to pray for a positive outcome. Any news? What did the vet say? There are a lot of animal lovers on your side, please let us know. As for her name, how about Heaven as in "a special gift from"

Mama kat's new name is now "Molly":)
we took her to the vet first thing this morning:
Here is the news!:)
they went inside and found 1 more kitten(dead)
they removed the kitten and then they spayed her.
She is now back home with us and is recovering in our cattery in a huge cage with all the perks!!:)
she is still feeling the effects from surgery, but she is eating and using her box,and is just being quiet. she is comfortable.
thanks a bunch for all your replies and prayers as well as support for us and Molly.
may she have a speedy recovery!!
Be Blessed
P.s.
we will keep you updated,as for now....she is on her way!!

Please Help
That is WONDERFUL news!!!!! I'm so happy and relieved that the vet was able to help in a positive way. This is a much better outcome than what was suggested by that Administrator. Molly is such a lucky girl to have found you. Things got a bit crazy there for a bit but there's a happy ending. Praying for Molly's full recovery

just checked on Molly....still groggy.....seems to have a cough, like ALL the ferals have developed....can be treated with amoxi drops.
VERY sleepy kitty, will keep you updated!
-
Well....we here are all super happy that Molly (what a pretty name) could be helped. It's great the vet could help her out and give you all a good outcome. It's so good that you found her or she found you. I kinda think you found each other cause without medical attention Molly may not have been so lucky. Good job. Congrats on your new furfamily member and may she have a long and healthy life with you.
Get well wishes coming your way for lucky girl Molly. May she be a wonderful addition to your family.

I'm so glad you popped back in and gave us all an uppy date! :) I'm also very happy Molly (I love her name too) got seen today, and the dead baby removed before it killed her. I'm quite surprised a cat that old would have any trouble at all birthing, but it could have been stress. Thanks for the happy news...we've all been worrying, and hope to see pictures sometime. :D Jan...owned by many as you can see. :) And those aren't all of them!
