Sugar continues to do well and seems to have blended
in to living with Momma & Baby kitty. On a warmer day
last week they all three rolled in the grass together
and each sought their own individual attention from me,
as I worked in the yard, but there was only the usual
competition usually displayed in a group. My fingers are
really crossed that Sugar will be O.K. outside as a neutered
male, because I've had two other males that didn't survive
living outdoors after being neutered. They usually were
attacked by other neighborhood un-neutered males or
just got sick and wandered off to die or something...
With the cold weather lately, all three spend a lot of
their time inside the garage & the neighborhood stray
toms are not around as much...

Just a short update on Sugar. He is doing very well as
a member of Momma's Gang. LOL. He now "knows the
drill"; when I leave, when I come back home, when he
gets fed, etc...He doen't stray too far from the back yard
and Baby Kitty has started to follow him around. She
finally has someone to pester other than Momma Kitty.
Baby loves to hide in the grass & "attack"(playfully) either
Momma or Sugar as they passby...I'm so glad they've all
gotten to know each other. They all were once alone & on
their own in this big old world & now they have each other
and me and a place to call home. That makes me happy.

{{{Lizbud}}}.
Your update really warms my heart. Thanks for letting us know that Sugar is part of "Momma's pride" so to speak.
-
Lizbud all I can do is echo Lut - I've just read the whole story and am thrilled at the outcome:) :)
Wonderful work you did - you must feel so proud. Well done.
Just a little note - white cats out in the sun should have sun block applied to their little ears.
Love Lynne

Hello,
Sugar seems to have completely blended in with Momma
and Baby Kitty. They all "hang together' around the property.
I know Momma very well and if she were upset with Sugar
being here, she would have displayed some reaction by now.
Not only do all kitties give nose kisses to each other, Sugar
even licks the side of Momma's & Baby's faces after getting
back together after a brief separation. It's so neat.
Sugar eats like a horse, he's going to be a Huge kitty.
The weather's been to cold & rainy to get any good pics,
but this weekend promises to be better for finishing my
roll of film of the furkids. Liz.

Yippee!!! Great news!!! I look forward to seeing shots of them together.

The Album is called Furkids 2002. Check out Sugar... Liz.

LizBud,
Your fur-family is adorable! Sugar and Momma Kitty seem very content together. In your 'Baby Kitty doesn't like photos' shot at first I didn't see the cat at all. All are lovely. Sugar seems very happy and healthy these days. Must be a relief.
Why do cat love to rub on cement? Cassy likes it and Livvy loves it. Looks like Sugar loves it, too. Has anyone any suggestions on this?

AmberLee,
That picture of Baby Kitty looks awful on my home pc.
Can't even see her. There are better pics of Momma
and Baby in the Newer Pictures album. Down near the
bottom of the pics. # 17, I think. There's also a picture
of yours truly. Thanks for the nice comments on my little
kitty pals.

Lizbud, somehow I missed this entire topic! I happened to learn about it from the post about Buddy's Knee. Sugar is precious and you are his guardian angel. :) I have read this entire thread tonight and I loved following along with your story about how he came into your life and now about his adjustment, which seems to be going so well! I just visited your albums and they are all terrific and Sugar is as handsome as I had pictured him. His story reminds me a little of Logan's Butter, in that he just sort of wandered into your life and you opened up your home and your heart to him and he looks a lot like like Staci's Kylie. Gee, so many Pet Talk kitties to keep track of, but they all feel like family to me. :)

Tonight when I came home, Momma, Baby & Sugar
all came running to the garage for supper. Sugar is
such a Sweetie, all he needs is ear scritches, petting
and FOOD, and he's a happy camper.:D He then went
up to his window seat to survey the back yard.I turned
around to make sure they were all inside before I closed
the door and turned back around and Sugar was gone.
Vanished in one minute. I looked around for him
but he had just disappeared. Momma kitty came over and
started to sniff the cardboard box under the windowsill.
The glue had come loose on the the topside of the box,
and when Sugar jumped down on it, he fell through the
box and was trapped inside. I lifted the side, and out he
came. He was just a little ruffled, but non the worse for it.

Whew!!! I think my heart paused when I hit the middle of your last post!!! What a relief to continue on and finish it!

Lizbud - Somehow I had never seen this thread until today. I was reading through and looking at your photos.
My grandparents lived in Indianapolis. Every summer we would go to Indy for two weeks -- always during the State Fair. To this day I could draw you a map of the fairgrounds. In your photos -- your house, your yard, your fence, your side walk, your front door -- look just like their home did! Such a flood of memories I have had this afternoon! They died when I was in my early teens so it has been a long, long time.
Thanks for bringing it back!
Lizbud...I just saw the posting about your mother's passing. My condolences. Perhaps yesterday she was tapping me on the shoulder ans saying..."remember those who have gone before..."
