I'm glad I got to visit you that last night in the hospital and rest my hand on that big beautiful head one last time.
Yes, Kay...it was very quiet on the way home. I think we all knew but didn't want to say it out loud. Anna knew. She tried to voice it a few times. I think we were all just holding out for hope and praying that some kind of miracle would happen over night.

Yes, your both right. I did know that Monday we were going to have to make the hardest decision of our lives. I prayed so hard that night that god would let him stay just a little longer with us, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
I just look into those eyes and know he was ready to go home.
Kay, was he trying to look at me in this picture? Was it when I was talking to the vet?
