I'm so glad to hear everything went well for Daisy. Here's hoping the cone isn't too much of a problem. :)

I am happy to hear that she is still doing well.:)
Good luck with the drops, I have had to do both cream and drops on different kitties. Niether are fun.
Give her some gentle pats and scracthes for me.
Keep us updated.
My little furry patient was very good about getting her drops both last night and this morning. Both times she was hiding in the wardrobe, but had conveniently placed herself on top of a handbag, which was fairly easily slid out. I hadn't realised this, but the neighbour who was helping me, her own cat has had this same operation to one eye. Apparently it was a two towel job to get his drops in!
I was woken up this morning with a cone in my face. Headbumpies aren't easy with a cone.:D The wee soul just wants to snuggle in, to be reassured, I think.
Thanks to those who have suggested taking the cone off to let her groom herself. I will try this when Alec is back. I wouldn't have risked it on my own!
AWWW.....Headbumpies ARE hard with a big plastic cone......How sweet of her to try, though. 10 days will be over before you know it. Hang in there. ;) Glad all is going well.
Oh, sweet Daisy looking for a wee cuddle, wee soul, give her a big hug from me and Bonnie oh and Joe too !!!
xx
I'm glad to know things are going so well :)
Awww, that's so sweet that she still wants to snuggle - cone and all. I agree, she probably wants assurance that everything is going to be ok. What a sweetie. :)
So glad to hear that sweet Daisy is doing so well. Bless her heart trying to give Mommy cone kissies!!! Please give her big hugs from me!!! :)
Such a sweet picture that conjures up Karen - bless Daisy's little heart - even with a 'cone' on she'll give Meowmie kisses!!

Daisy got her stitches out last night! We took her to the vet for another checkup expecting them to say that the cone could come off. The vet thought that her wounds were healing very well so took the stitches out, because it was very difficult to clean her eyes properly. The stitches were all crusty from matter getting stuck that we couldn't rub out.
She sat on the table as good as anything while the vet snipped out all these stitches. What a good girl she is. :)
Her eyes look great now. Daisy just could not have been more pleased to get home and be without the collar. She just purred and purred and purred and purred and purred!!!
She has to get her drops for a few more days, but the vet does not need to see her again.
Once again, Daisy thanks you all for your good wishes, cuddles, headbumpies and stritchies; and wishes you all a Merry Christmas!
See, 10 days went fast, didn't it. ;) (easy for me to say)
I am glad she is "good as new". Keep those scritchies coming!
