She will ONLY eat Meow Mix and Kit-n-Kaboodle. She also refuses to eat any wet food. I have tried every brand on the shelf, plus all those new ones (which come in the little individual sachets), and she just tries to "bury" them.
The problem here in Bahrain is that it is such a tiny place, and we only have one specialist pet store (which has not had a new container of stock delivered since the start of the Iraq war!!!). They are out of stock of everything - even kitten formula, cat shampoo, spray repellent - EVERYTHING!!! So the ONLY places to buy pet supplies are the supermarkets, and they just stock the commercial brands like Whiskas and Friskies etc.
Ally will also not eat chicken or steak (either raw or cooked). The only "human" food she eats is ham, and occasionally cucumber and lettuce (I think she has an identity crisis and imagines that she is a rabbit:rolleyes: )
I think in this case, I wouldn't worry *too* much. What does your vet say? If she is doing well and not gaining a lot of weight (which poor brands tend to do) I think she should be fine. I used to always feed "cheap" cat foods, because I never knew any better. Then I talked to my vet about it, and found a food that works best for my girls. :)
