what? am i not allowed to love more than one dog?!? :(
I voted other also and agree with KayAnn and Anna. Humans are the most dangerous. Actually, I'll amend that....STUPID humans are the most dangerous.
Also, if you are looking for the dog that is most likely to bite, I'm sorry cockerlover....it's the Cocker Spaniel.
KayAnn, I love the picture. Do you know the kid and the dog?
Here's another cute pitty/kid pic.
I voted "other" for humans too. :(
I didn't vote. But I think human's are the problem and are dangerous not dogs.
*I tried to get it through my husband's thick headed mind but he don't believe me. I said something about a Doberman and he was like oh they are mean. They were bred to be mean. I was like no the most certainly were not!* He just doesn't get it. I even said something about Rottie's but he just acts like they are mean. If I got one my mom would probably be to scared to visit or my grandma *ugh* I wish I could get it through their heads. Its not the dogs fault it is the human's that own them.
I NEVER said that either, stop putting words in my mouth/typing, whatever.      :rolleyes:Quote:

Molly- Nope, i don't know them. I found it on a cute Pit site that had a bunch of pics of kids and pits. :D
When we got our first chow my mom goes, those are supposed to be one of the most vicous (sp?) dogs, then we we got our rottie, she says the same thing.Quote:

This was all before she met them, now she has a rottie of her own and my dad would love to have a chow:p
Well actually my mom would probably be alright after awhile. But I'm not sure about my grandma though. She's just always kinda been afraid of big dogs. But she may be alright after I show her what sweethearts they can be.
When I lived with my mom and dad they had a chow also. But everyone was afraid of him. And no one would go around him. He was sweet in his own way. I loved him so much.
The biggest thing is to change dear hubby's mind. I really like Dobermans and Rotties. I'd really love to have one maybe sometime in the near future. Specially a Doberman. I've always liked them I meet a real sweetheart of a Doberman last year at our state fair. He wanted me to keep on petting him and giving him attention:)
cocker_luva- nope Great Danes are not dangerous. They are one of the best breeds to have around small children. They are called "gentle giants"- I think they are called that for a reason.
I vote for humans, too. I hate idiots who give breeds a bad rep.!!!
yea their called that for a very good reason! :D :D :D
You know, I'm actually taking advantage of the reputation of Rottweilers and German Shepherds.
I didn't only pick Max out because of his awesome personality. I travel 3 days a week, on average, and when I'm away from home I'm alone at night. So I wanted a big, scary-looking dog! The only reason Max is "scary-looking" is because people have heard bad things about Shepherds and Rotts.
Max is awesome - and he'd never hurt anybody. But nobody else knows that! I've got him walking at my hip on a loose lead already, and when people see him behaving so well they think "Wow - I wonder what else he's trained to do?" So without actually being vicious, he can keep me safe because of his reputation.
So - there is one positive aspect of dogs having a bad rep!
Here's a photo of my "dangerous dog" listening to country music. As soon as he hears it, that ear goes straight up. Otherwise it lies down. Cute, huh?!http://www.imagestation.com/picture/....jpg.thumb.jpg
That's one of the reasons we got Buford! There have been some dogs stolen in our neighborhood and I was worried about my pittys. I didn't want them to end up as bait dogs for fighters. Buford is a big, scary looking bullmastiff mix that won't let anyone in the yard. I can leave him in the truck and not lock the doors, but I'd never do that with my pittys. They'd leterally leap into another car and ride off with someone! Isn't it ironic? I had to get another dog to guard my *vicious* pit bulls. Hehe.Quote:

I'm sure Max would leap into any vehicle with an open door! It's a good thing people automatically think he's mean!
By the way, Cheshire, you should post some photos of those dogs of yours! Especially the bullmastiff.
Here's all three of them together. Buford is quite a bit bigger now.Quote:
