Naomi,

Naomi,
I hope everything works out for you.
I feel bad for poor Kingsly ... :( No cats should be neglected  At least she may be going to a home where someone will have the time to love her :p
I called her mommy, but I had to leave a message. I'll let you know when/if I hear back :)
I'm still hanging in waiting to hear what happens.
ME TOO!!! :DQuote:

When I spoke with Donna on Monday she said that Kingsley's Mommy was over on this side of the water for a couple of days. Donna threw her a surprise baby shower on the weekend. I think she said that she was heading back tomorrow but will confirm.
I did call Kingsley's mom Tuesday afternoon, but so far I've heard nothing back. I left a phone message with my number. I'm assuming that she's probably at work. If I haven't heard anything by around 8pm tonight, I will call again.
Vickie, if you know a better time for me to call, please let me know :)
Still waiting impatiently,
Naomi :p
*fidgiting on the edge of her seat waiting for info*
I hope you hear something soon! Everytime I see a new post here I think "oooh ohh maybe Kingsley got his home, or there's some news from his neck of the woods" but then i come here and... no..nothing yet... lol. Poor kingsley doesn't know how many people are waiting to hear from him!!! :D
OK. I just got off the phone with Kingsley's Aunt Donna. Kingsley's parents are back in Victoria now and because she just had a baby, is not working right now. Donna will be calling Kingsley's Mom tonight and pass the message on that Naomi is anxious to talk to her.
Also got some more info. Kingsley's Mom is a really good Mommy but Kingsley's Dad is not really a cat lover. With the arrival of the baby, chores do not get done as often, for example, the litter box does not get scooped often enough. As well, Kingsley doesn't get the attention she deserves. The family is getting alot of pressure from friends to keep Kingsley. As you and I know, babies and cats can live together OK and it may be a stuggle at first but things can turn out OK.
So there we sit with baited breath. Hopefully the two will touch base tomorrow.
I also left a phone message, so maybe she will give me a call anyway :)Quote:

I just heard from my landlord. She won't even let me foster a mom cat and kittens, let alone get another cat. So Kingsley will have to find somewhere else. I'm very sorry.
Its ok Nomi! You tried!!!
Damn It! Lets just throw away the pet for a kid AGAIN! Don't they realise that having a pet is ideal to help socialise a child around animals. You just have to make sure kitty can't get into baby's room and make sure baby can't get into kitty's room. Makes me sad to see such beautiful creatures abused this way :(
I've read that it is actually BENEFICIAL for a baby to grow up with animals. It cuts down on the possibility of allergies later in life.
I am sorry, Naomi, that the landlord said no. but you really are still luckier than most renters in the fact that you are allowed to have your 3.
I sure wish Kingsley the best. Maybe out of all the people here that read the story someone can find a home or a no-kill shelter for her to take refuge in.
Thank you very much, Naomi for trying your hardest {{{{{hugs}}}}
