We too will keep your family members in our prayers. This has to be such a scary time for you. There is a silver lining in that the other problems have come to the surface through this emergency. Now they can be dealt with.

SO sorry to hear the news Twisterdog. Please know that your family is in my prayers.
I just lost my step mother last month to colon cancer. :(
I do hope they make a quick recovery and that your brother in laws pnuemonia starts to respond to treatment. Good vibes on the way!:)
I'm sorry your dad isn't getting better, maybe you could convince him of the merits of oxygen if you told him that you'd like to keep him around awhile longer and that he needs to think of you guys too (you know....guilt...the gift that keeps on giving!...turn the tables and use it on your parents instead of them using it on you!) I'm lucky, my parents both are very good about taking whatever directions the doctors give them. I hope that he starts feeling better soon. Please continue to keep us updated.
I am so sorry to hear about your Dads further health problems and about your brother in law not responding to the treatment. I will keep your family and yourself in my prayers.
Hugs
Chris
Hang in there , Twisterdog ..!
If you need a place to vent or a good shoulder : we Pt'ers are there for you !!
You, your parents and your brother-in-law will be kept in my prayers.
It will be important that your Dad gets plenty of rest. Perhaps if he realizes how much the oxygen will help him sleep - he may change his mind.
Bless you for being such a caring daughter.
Update on my mom and dad .....
My dad was put on sulpha (sp?) medication for a month, and then is to have his prostate rechecked. If it is not better, they will "discuss other options." :(
I just got back from Utah, taking my mom to an eye specialist. Good news - it is NOT a tumor!! They are not sure what caused the problem. She is to return in a month for a recheck. If the bleeding/swelling in her eye is worse, or no better, they will either recommend a steroid injection into her eye (OUCH!) or surgery.
So ... basically .... a month of "wait and see" for both of them. Could be better news ... but could also be a WHOLE lot worse!
THANKS for all your thoughts and prayers!!
:)
We won't slack off on prayers........but continue praying for good health for your family.
Still praying for a speedy recover for all of them. ;)
