Back yard breeding only compounds the problem and population of unwanted animals. Spay your bitch, and enjoy the gifts she brings to your life. To breed her is simply irresponsible.
btw ... genetics come without a guarantee of outcome.

i went on a small vacation and i left my dogs with a friend of mine. she thought she was doing a good thing by,well ....ok here comes the bad part.........her male dog is going to be a daddy. i went to her house to pick up my dogs and her husband kept saying they did it. i was like "what did you do?" then they told me....."we bred her" my jaw dropped. i then told them i forgot to tell them i had changed my mind...........well i guess this means i will be posting pics of them when they are born.:( i will be looking for homes. if any of you want one. i havn't decided on (an ADOPTION fee) yet,but if anyone has a place in there home for a puppy in a few months let me know. don't e-mail me though. i never check it.
oh...:( well, it wasn't your fault. i just hope the pups are healthy and got to good homes.
What a shame. I too hope the mother and puppies will be ok.
Maybe you should forget about that Great Dane puppy
and keep one of your own puppies.
At least that will be one less good home
to worry about.
Than spay, so accidents like this will not happen.
i canceled the dane puppy already.
i will keep one of her pups. i don't plan on taking any to the shelter witch is what the people told me that i should do since i changed my mind. what would be a good fee for the pups? i need all the opinions i can get. i would love for one or more of the pups to go to someone on this board because i could check up on it and know it would be going to a great home.:)
Figure out what it will cost in vet fees and spaying for mama (and the extra food for mama during her pregnancy!), after the pups are born, then divide by the number of puppies! Will the owner of the daddy dog want a pup?
i don't know if they will or not. i can ask tomarrow. would they get it for free or what? would i not include the pup i am keeping with the price? thanks for helping.
No, they should pay something, unless they share the vet/food bills with you. And it's up to you whether you include the pup you're keeping in the math!
ok.i don't think they are going tohelp pay. so i should charge a fee for a pup. thanks.
another thing. the puppy that i keep. will the mother and pup be very bonded? unseprable? or what?
What a Shame :(
Poor Momma Dog, poor pups. :( :( :(
